Eileen dispenses cookery hints
Eileen lends Colin a recipé book and advises him on an Italian meal;  she tells him she will want to hear about the date.
An unfamiliar corner of the shop
As he leaves, Siôn comes in and finds Garry searching for something on a shelf in a part of the shop we have not seen before.
"Things have got on top of you lately"
“I thought you had been avoiding me,” says Siôn, “I know things have got on top of you recently, and you might be feeling inadequate.   You must keep your chin up and move on – no need to be ashamed.”
Garry's menacing look
Garry looks angry, but does not say anything.
Mark hears the news from Ricky . . .
Mark asks Ricky what is wrong, and after some prodding, Ricky tells him, “Mam has asked me to live with her in London – part of me wants to go and part wants to stay.   She’s leaving on Friday!”
. . . and is rather shocked
Mark is shocked to learn this.
Llinos is minding someone's baby
As DJ and Cadno load fence posts from APD into the 4x4, Cadno worries, “What if the police find out you’re lying?   Should I tell Garry?”   DJ replies that she is being paranoid, and the last thing they want is to drag Garry into things.
"Your pathetic plan has failed!"
Then Sioned passes, taunting Cadno, “Making the most of your freedom, before they throw away the key?”   DJ replies that her pathetic plan has failed – he told the police it was his gun.
"You can't do that – it's wrong!"
“You can’t do that – it’s wrong!” shouts Sioned.
DJ tells her that shopping your relative is wrong, and Cadno adds,
"Denz would be turning in his grave!"
“Eileen and Angela have a right to know you’re a thief!   Denz would be turning in his grave – it would break his heart if he knew you were such a cow!”
Ed and Eileen come to see what is going on
Ed and Eileen come to see what all the fuss is about, and DJ elightens them;  “She reported Cadno for owning an illegal gun – but it’s mine!   Her efforts to send Cadno to jail have failed!”
Eileen is getting fed up with her daughter
Outside APD, Dai has been listening to this exchange.   Eileen orders Sioned, “Inside, now! I don’t know what’s wrong with you!”
"I just don't want to live in Cwmderi!"
In the café kitchen, Debbie explains to Mark that she is not trying to take Ricky away;  “I’m happy for him to stay, but he thought I didn’t want him.   I just don’t want to live in Cwmderi!”
"Things aren't that bad!"
Mark acknowledges she has had a hard time lately, but things are not that bad.
"There's no point in being here!"
Debbie tells him, “I feel incredibly lonely, much worse since I came back from Maes-y-Deri, night after night staring at four walls;  There’s no point in being here!”
"Why did you do this?"
Sioned maintains that she only did what Eileen had done, report Cadno to the police.   Eileen is confused;  “You tried to persuade me to drop the charge – why, if you were going to do this?   There’s no hope of putting it behind us now.
"Was it the café?"
Why do it?   Was it the café?”
"Bobi and Arthur could have been left without a mother!"
Ed adds, “Bobi and Arthur could have been left without a mother.   How could you be so cruel?   You know what it’s like to lose a parent, and seen how it’s affected Gemma.”
Sioned justifies herself
Sioned is unrepentant;  “She hasn’t been given a death sentence!   Anyway, DJ has taken the blame, and there’s nothing I can do about it!”
Ed walks away, saying, “I don’t know what I see in you sometimes.”
"Heard anything about a dodgy gun?"
Siôn has called at APD, where Dai asks him, “Have you heard anything about a dodgy gun?”   Siôn looks startled, but Dai continues, “At Penrhewl.   There was a ding-dong going on earlier, but I couldn’t hear clearly.”
"What exactly have you heard?"
When Garry comes in, Dai asks him the same question;  Garry enquires, “What exactly have you heard?”
"Nothing – that's why I'm asking"
and Dai replies that he has heard nothing, that is why he asked.   Dai is worried that his nephew is involved.
Colin's haute cuisine
Colin is busy cooking, then sprays on some aftershave, hears a knock on the door and welcomes Tessa, who has a carrycot.
"I hoped it was just the two of us"
“I hoped it was just the two of us,” he says, “Who is this?” as he peers at the baby.
"I want you to meet your son"
Tessa warns him, “This is Jac, don’t be shocked, but I want you to meet your son.”
"You're joking, right?"
Colin suspects this is a joke, but she shakes her head, and Jac cries.
"It's impossible!"
“I don’t care what you say – it must be a mistake – it’s impossible!”
Tessa urges him to work it out – Jac is three months old, and a year ago she was – at Narberth.   “We both know what happened that night!”
"You can't get pregnant after just one night!"
Colin insists that she could not get pregnant after just one night, but she tells him,
"Once was enough"
“Once was enough, and I haven’t slept with anyone else.”
"This is all very convenient"
Colin is not convinced;  “It’s all very convenient!   If I was the father, you would have contacted me before now.”
Jac listens with interest to the argument
Tessa argues that was not going to contact him, being happy to raise Jac by herself, as she had been raised by her mother.   “When you texted, it was like fate was intervening.   I thought maybe Jac has the right to meet his father, and that’s why I’m here.   Not for my sake, but for his.”   Colin is very confused.
"They like to see you behind the counter"
Mark continues trying to persuade Debbie;  “People want you here, they elected you councillor, they like to see you behind the counter.   It wouldn’t be the same without you.”
"They don't care who serves the coffee"
Debbie is adamant;  “People don’t care who serves them coffee, as long as it’s wet and hot!”
"We make a great team"
“They’d miss you, and I’d miss you,” pleads Mark, “You’re part of my family – maybe not a normal family – but we make a great team.   While Ricky is growing up, he needs us.   Don’t make him choose between us.   Don’t spoil it because you’re going through a bad patch.”
Sioned hears what they think of her . . .
In the taxi office, Ed tells Eileen that Sioned goes from bad to worse;  Eileen agrees, “I’m ashamed she’s my daughter sometimes!”   Sioned has just arrived and heard this.
. . . but insists it is not her fault
She demands, “Why are you angry?   I was only being honest!”   Eileen points out that it is a pity she was not honest from the start, and had not stolen the quad.   Sioned will not give in;  “I paid her back for that - I don’t know why she’s making such a fuss!”
However, she admits she did not consider the effect it would have on the boys.
"The least you can do is go and apologise!"
Ed and Eileen tell her the least she can do is go to Penrhewl and apologise.
A bit of discipline would do Sioned good, suggests DJ
As they sort apples at the farm, DJ comments, “If Sioned had been told off more often as a child, she wouldn’t have turned out like this!”
"Have the pigs been here?"
Garry silently arrives, and they ask what he wants.  “Have the pigs been here?” he demands, and DJ explains that he has taken the blame for the gun, which was bought from a bloke in a pub in Swansea.   He stresses that Garry’s name has been kept out of it.
Garry, with a mouthful of apple
“I could hurt you – if you opened your mouths!” threatens Garry, “What the police would do with you is nothing compared with what I would do!   Good – we understand each other.”   He takes a bite from an apple and leaves as silently as he came.
"I didn't come to stir things up"
Tessa assures Colin, “Look, I know you’ve had a shock, and I didn’t come to stir things up, honestly.”
"Maintenance – that's what you're after!"
Colin does not swallow that, but enquires, “Come on then, when are you going to ask for it?   Maintenance, that’s why you’re here!”   She denies that is what she is after, admitting that she tried to take advantage of him last time and is ashamed of that.
"I'm not here for your money"
“I’m not here for your money – if you don’t want to know, then we’ll go.”   Jac starts to cry, and Tessa asks, “He’s hungry – do you mind if I give him his bottle before we go?”
Colin is not keen to feed the baby
Colin refuses her offer to let him feed the baby.
As Cadno is pleased that Garry has gone and that they had not angered him,
Sioned attempts an apology . . .
Sioned arrives, and Cadno immediately tells her to get out.   Sioned apologises as she had not considered the effect on Bobi and Arthur.   “Ed said the least I could do was apologise,” she says.
Cadno is furious;  “You’re here because Ed sent you?   You want to be seen to do the right thing?   Stuff your apology where the sun don’t shine!”
. . . but soon finds herself outside the kitchen door
Sioned is unceremoniously thrown out.
"I'm not going to London after all"
Debbie announces to Ricky that she has decided not to go to London after all, and Mark explains that she has heard a few home truths.
"I'm glad you're staying!"
“I’m glad you’re staying, Mam,” says Ricky and hugs her
"Heard any more about the gun?"
Garry is passing APD when Dai asks if he has heard any more about the gun;  Garry demands, “Since when do you worry about other people?” and walks away.
Dai remarks, as is customary, “Nefi Wen!   Some people have no manners!”
"Don't dare suggest anything like that again!"
Then Garry meets Siôn and warns him, “About what happened in the shop – don’t dare suggest anything like that again – got it?   But you’re right about the ‘moving on’ thing;  I’ve had enough of playing these games, trying to get one up on each other.   You and Britt come over for supper on Thursday – we’ve got a lot to discuss.”
"Reconsidered cancelling the debt?"
“Have you reconsidered cancelling the debt?” enquires Siôn, hopefully,
"Come and find out"
and Garry tells him to come and find out.
"You've got a big belly!"
“You’ve got a big belly – you’ve had a whole bottle!” Tessa tells Jac, and asks Colin to hold him while she cleans herself up.
Colin is not used to this . . .
Colin, initially uncomfortable, soon settles down.
. . . but soon appears more at home with Jac
“Izzy used to make exactly the same noise,” he says, and Tessa comments that he must take after his big sister, confirming that he is Colin’s son.   Then it is time for them to go;  she will ring at the end of the week to see how he wants to handle things in the future.
Sioned complains to Eileen and Ed that Cadno shut the door in her face, and Ed remarks, “No less than you deserve!”
Colin seems disappointed that they have to go
Eileen walks back towards the shop;  she sees Colin waving to Tessa, who is leaving.
"I just found out I've got a son!"
He reports excitedly, “I’ve just found out I’ve got a son!   He’s three months old!”   Eileen asks how he feels upon hearing this news, and he replies, “I don’t have a clue how I feel!”
