Iolo has been doing some cooking – a cake for Non – when Gethin comes in and apologises for last night.

When Iolo tells him, “It’s not ‘all right’ by a long chalk!” Gethin objects that Iolo “had a go at him” about Daniel,

| "You need to give Wiliam some space" |
and suggests that he should give Wiliam some space, as he appeared to be worrying about something.

| "You call this First Class?" |
Mark delivers a box to the Deri, and is greeted by Siôn’s comment, “3:10? Is that what you call First Class?”

| Mark stands up for Anita |
Mark explains that he has done two shifts, and raises the matter of Anita, “Getting the push!”

| "She left because she was treated so badly!" |
“She left because she was treated so badly. She could do with that job, as she is missing Meic dreadfully,” Mark tells Siôn, “If you cared, she’d still be working here.”

| "I'll never have time to read it, with Anita gone!" |
Siôn tells Britt that in the box is the biography of Waldo, [Waldo (Goronwy) Williams 1904–1971] “But I don’t know when I’ll have time to read it, especially with Anita gone!”

Britt insists she does not want Anita or her fancy ideas; “I run this pub, not her!”
Siôn points out that food sales are down without her, and it will be hard to keep the kitchen open. He stresses, “I say that we need her back,” and Britt reluctantly agrees to go and see Anita.

Dai is doing more ironing at APD when the phone rings, and the idiot leaves a blouse draped over the iron while he goes and talks to Jim.

“No, to be honest we’re not missing Diane at all – it’s all going like clockwork,” he lies

| A ruined blouse — and it's Gaynor's! |
Then he suddenly smells burning, and finds the blouse irreparably damaged; he is even more flustered when he sees that it is Gaynor’s laundry.

| Hywel does not like this talk of divorce |
Gaynor meets Hywel by CwmFM and tells him the divorce papers are on the way to him. Gwyneth comes out of her front door and notices Gemma on the bench across the road, watching her.

| Iolo arrives unexpectedly |
Iolo takes the cake to Wiliam’s, and is offered a cup of coffee; he tells Wiliam that he had a shock when they left so quickly last night. Wiliam irritably replies, “I told you, Non needed a bath, and it was getting late.”

| Iolo feels uncomfortable and is about to leave |
Feeling unwelcome, Iolo is about to leave, but Wiliam persuades him to stay for a meal.

| Gaynor cannot believe the incompetance . . . |
Predictably, Gaynor is furious when she collects her laundry. Dai blames Jim for the damage; “It was the last thing he did before he was called away. He is not skilled – I think I run a business with a chimpanzee!”

When he offers Gaynor £5, she informs him that the blouse cost £40, and as he raises the compensation to £10, “As it was not a brand new blouse,”

she comments, “That’s what I expect from monkeys – peanuts!” and she stalks out.

| Gwyneth insists she could do Dai a favour |
Gwyneth arrived during this conversation, and concludes that Dai needs some help; “I could do all this ironing for you, for a fair price.”

Dai however dismisses her offer; “Two letters, N and O – NO! – not hard to understand!”

| "I'll be your Press and Media Officer!" |
As Siôn and Britt are on the way to Anita’s, carrying a box of chocolates, they meet Gaynor, who enquires whether they are having a May Day event at the Deri this year, and offering herself as Press and Media Officer for it. When Siôn says he was thinking of asking Hywel, she scolds him, “I’m surprised to see you siding with an adulterer!”

As soon as they enter Anita’s house, she says, “A present to say sorry, is it?”

When Siôn apologises for spoiling her menu,

| "Britt did that with her lies!" |
Anita retorts, “Britt did that with her lies!” Siôn says they would like it if she came back to the Deri, and Anita remarks, “Just for the busy May Day, then ‘ta-ra’ when it’s quiet?” Britt tells her, “No more of the fancy meals, unless I ask for them,” and Anita asks, “Realised you’re losing out without me?” Siôn urges her to consider it.

| Gwyneth faces the third degree |
Gwyneth arrives home, where she is quizzed by Gemma; “Why were you at APD?” When Gwyneth says she wanted a couple of screws, “What did you want them for? Where are they?”

| Wiliam grabs the paperwork from Iolo |
Iolo moves things off the table for the meal, and Wiliam becomes concerned that he may have seen something confidential, connected with his job.

Finally he confesses that he saw something during his shift yesterday which turned his stomach.

Iolo objects that he will not give details, but Wiliam insists there are certain things about his job he cannot divulge.

Gwyneth has told Gemma that the screws were for hanging a picture of Y Wenallt, but Gemma tells her, “Please stop lying, but I don’t blame you lying to me. Nobody likes me, no wonder you want to avoid me.

“I understand why people hate me, I agree with them!”

Gwyneth tries to calm her; “I don’t hate you – I’m here for you. Enough of this nonsense.”

| Mark gives Anita some hints |
Anita goes to the Deri with Mark, who has briefed her that she should insist on something for herself.
She tells Siôn, “I’ll come back on one condition – that I choose the menu.”
Britt immediately pipes up, “I’m the boss . . .”

| "Of course – welcome back!" |
but she is silenced by Siôn, who welcomes her back to the Deri.

| "Gaynor is on the committee" |
Siôn gives Hywel a free pint, with the proviso that CwmFM supports the May Day Festival; however he warns that Gaynor volunteered to be on the committee. Hywel seems untroubled by this.

At home, Anita feels that she is doing the right thing, what Meic would want her to do.

She asks Mark whether she should delete the picture of her and Meic from her phone; “No, there’s nothing wrong with memories,” he replies, and produces the locket she took to Megan’s shop.

Anita puts it on again.

Hywel suspects that Gaynor is trying to keep CwmFM out of the May Day Festival, and when he leaves the bar,

she mentions to Siôn that local radio is, “A bit parochial – we could do better than that!”

Hywel gets some unsolicited advice from Dai; “The problem with you Casanovas is that you jump straight in, without thinking things through!”

| Iolo does not like Gethin wearing his T-shirt |
When Iolo gets home, Gethin is cooking lamb casserole, and wearing his T-shirt, which causes Iolo some concern; “You had no right to go into my room!”
Although there is plenty of food, Iolo says he has already eaten and that Wiliam will not be over for a while. He intends to go to bed, although it is only nine, but “Uncle Gethin” persuades him to talk.

Iolo complains that, “He won’t talk to me about his work – could it be something to do with the Hangman game yesterday? I just want him to be honest.”
