10 April 2015

Siôn is having some work done
A workman comes into the Deri and is told by Siôn, “As you can see, the place needs some fresh paint.”
Dani is not in a forgiving mood
Garry asks Dani,”Are you going to forgive me for working late last night?”,
Ed invites them to dinner tonight
but then Ed comes in and says he wants to talk about a deal to service the taxis, and invites them both to dinner tonight at 7:00pm.   Garry comments, “I could think of better ways to spend a Friday night!”
Mark is concerned for Anita
Mark delivers a letter in person to Anita, wanting to see how she is.
She objects to Mark's special treatment . . .
“A postman has just come into my house and stuck his nose into my business!” she rants, but soon calms down and shows Mark the text she received from Meic.
. . . but soon shows him the text from Meic
“He hopes I’m all right – of course I’m not all right!”
Mark tells her to go and get dressed and then come out with him on his round;  “I’ll stay here all day if I have to, and I might get the sack!”
"You can borrow my jacket"
He sees the picture of the old “Caffi Meic”, and urges her to come with him;  “You can borrow my jacket,” he says.
Angela arrives at the café with some “healthy” cakes she has made;
Even the thought of "healthy cake" puts Sioned off
Sioned turns up her nose at the very sight of them.
Sioned is not pleased to hear about Ed's invitation
Dani comes in and breaks the news to Sioned that Ed has invited Garry and herself to dinner, which does not go down well.
"How come you're charging me £2?"
Colin complains that Dani was charged £1 for her coffee, whereas he had to pay £2.   Debbie explains her special offer for under-30s, and Colin denounces it as “ageism”.
Then Debbie looks at Angela’s three cakes, Courgette, Parsnip and Beetroot;  she tries a piece of the latter and grimaces.
"That's disgusting!"
“That’s disgusting!   You don’t expect me to sell them!   I won’t have any customers left!”
Sioned says she will take them;  “I can serve them tonight – it’s only Garry and Dani.”
Colin watches Mark and Anita
Colin looks out of the café window and sees Anita with Mark;
"Haven't you heard of the Merry Widow?"
Debbie remarks that she looks happier, and calls her “The Merry Widow”.
"Dani must suspect something"
Sioned finds Garry in the Deri, telling him that Dani must suspect something, and that is why the invitation was made.
"Right, let's get our stories straight"
Garry insists they must get their stories straight – that he is considering investing in Deri Deithio.
"There's an otherworldly feel to the colours"
When Garry goes to the bar, Siôn shows him a picture on the laptop which he is thinking of hanging in the pub, but Garry asks him what Britt will think.   Then Colin comes in, and Siôn tells him some of the plans he has for the Deri;  “I might put a stage in the corner.”
Garry comments, “Cwmderi is not the place for pole dancing,” but Siôn is thinking more in terms of harp and poetry performances, which does not impress Garry.
Siôn is not keen on a performance by "Dim o'r Uchod"
Colin suggests resurrecting his double act with Mark, “As long as MacNabs is not too busy with Anita!”
Anita accompanies Mark across the park
Meanwhile, Anita and Mark are walking through the park;
"All he did was send a text!"
“I’ve left so many messages on his phone, but all he did was send a text,” she complains.   Mark says that hearing his voice would be too painful for her, but she continues, “I feel like I’m in limbo, carrying on as normal, while grieving for someone who is not dead.”
"I feel I'm in limbo"
She tells Mark that she was offered the chef’s job at the Deri, but refused, as she was afraid she would make a mess of things, “And that would be one blow too many!”
"You're feeling guilty"
Mark diagnoses what she is feeling as guilt because she is thinking of moving forward, and suggests that Meic went to Patagonia because he did not want her to feel like that.
When Anita does not know where she is, he points out Penrhewl
“I’m lost, supposed to move on, but I don’t know where I am,” she laments.
Colin attempts a bit of covert surveillance
When they get back in the village, Colin, putting out the rubbish, sees them, and hides behind a bin.
"You could have told me you were arranging this!"
Sioned arrives home and admonishes Ed for arranging this dinner;  “You could discuss the taxi business over a pint,” she complains.   Ed snaps, “They’re coming over, and that’s that!”   When she enquires what is wrong, Ed cannot keep quiet any longer.
In the face of Ed's accusation, she is speechless, but not for long . . .
“I don’t like being deceived!   I know what’s going on – you and Garry!   How long have you been sleeping together?”   Sioned dismisses his allegations as totally groundless;
"You think I'm sleeping with everyone!"
“You think I’m sleeping with everyone – Garry, Mark, Colin, Siôn, Jinx, Hywel!   I’m going in the bath – I don’t have to listen to this nonsense!”
The photo of the original Caffi Meic has pride of place
Anita takes the picture to the café, where Debbie displays it, and then she visits the Deri,
"You're spending a lot on redecoration"
where she informs Siôn that she will take the chef’s job.   Siôn tells her that Britt is in Newcastle, and when Anita sees the paperwork for the decorating work on the bar, she comments, “£2000 is a lot to spend on redecoration.”
Siôn explains his vision of a “New Look Deri,” and Anita assures him, “I shall be glad to be part of the New Look Deri.”   Siôn replies, “I know who else will be glad you’re here – Meic!”
Sioned jumps in with both feet
As soon as Garry and Dani walk into the Deri flat, Sioned announces, “Just to let you know that Ed invited you here because he thinks Garry and I are having an affair!”   Garry describes the idea as nonsense, but Dani is doubtful.
"I would have told you, if I knew you would accuse me"
When asked about the time they are spending together, Garry tells them about possible investment in Deri Deithio.   Ed asks Sioned, “Why didn’t you tell me?” and she answers that she would have, if she thought she was going to be accused of having an affair.
Sioned is furious
“You don’t trust me!   It’s not the first time you’ve accused me,” Sioned tells Ed, while Dani is asking Garry where he was until late last night.   When he replies that he was in the garage, Dani reveals that she and Ed went there, and it was in darkness.
Garry quickly invents a trip to Llanelli for a specialist car part, and Sioned changes the subject to why Ed and Dani were together;  “Are you sleeping together?” she demands.   Ed tries to calm things down.
"People are talking"
Mark is having a drink with Anita in the Deri, and Colin warns him that people are talking.   Mark is emphatic that Colin should not upset Anita;  “You remind her of a difficult time in her life – your affair, and the end of her marriage to Meic.”
"You can't tell them the truth!"
As Ed and Dani go down to the bar for a bottle of wine, Garry tells Sioned that they had better admit to the car business, but Sioned fears that would be the end of it.   “Don’t deny you’re enjoying this!” she tells him.
Ed, unlike Dani, believes there is no affair
Meanwhile, downstairs, Ed believes they are telling the truth, but Dani continues to harbour doubts;  “I still think there’s something going on!”
Mark and Anita drink a toast to, “The new Deri chef.”
"You know where to send the kitchen leftovers"
Mark tells her that people are talking about them already, but Anita replies, “People will talk about me whatever I do – the time to worry is when they stop!”
Mark jokes, “You know where to send the kitchen leftovers now!”
"If she can still attract men, so can I!"
Debbie is watching them, and tells Angela, “If she can still attract men, so can I!”
Angela replies, “I knew the old Debs was there somewhere,” and is corrected by Debbie;  “No, this is the new Debs!”

Dani's apology calms matters slightly . . .
Ed and Dani reappear with the bottle of wine;  “You were a long time – anyone would think you were having an affair!” says Sioned.   After Dani has apologised for the accusation, they sit down around the table.
. . . but it is obvious she still has her misgivings
Garry pours the wine, but Dani still looks suspicious.
