Angela calls at the café to see if Debbie has seen Cadno, as she wants to give back the hedgehog; Debbie then asks Gwyneth for her opinion on changing the café’s name back to “Caffi Meic”.

| Debbie gets a favourable reception |
When told Gwyneth thinks it a lovely idea, Debbie confesses she was afraid people would think it a stupid idea. “I’ll pay you to make a banner,” she says, but urges Gwyneth not to say anything.

| "Try this – and be honest" |
Wiliam invites Iolo to taste the curry he is making; “Be honest, we have to be honest about things,” he says, and Iolo is awkward and non-committal about the curry.

| Colin and Gethin welcome a free meal |
Wiliam does not have a chance to find out what is troubling him, as Colin and Gethin appear, and are pleased that someone is cooking a meal for them.
“Posh – eating at the table!” remarks Gethin, while Colin’s comment is, “It always tastes better when it’s free!”

| "The house seems empty now" |
Anita calls at the café for some cake, and tells Debbie that the bed and oxygen tank have been taken away; “It’s so empty there now, and the evenings are the worst,” she says. Debbie has something to tell her about changing the name of the café, but when Llinos comes in, asking for a black coffee, Anita leaves.

| Gemma is pleased to see him |
Gemma arrives at the Deri, where DJ is waiting for her, and he kisses her before going to the bar to get her a pint.

| "Looks like a date!" |
Gwyneth has just arrived and tells him, “You in a suit, her with lipstick – looks like a date! Where are you taking her?” DJ tells her they are having a meal at Cwm Delhi.

| Hywel returns the iPad |
Hywel visits Anita, returning the iPad, from which he has deleted everything except Meic’s film; “I’ll show you how to save it,” he tells her, but she insists she wants to be rid of it all.

When he argues, she shouts, “Don’t you have enough on your plate with that pregnant floozie, without sticking your nose in?”
“If that’s your attitude, stuff you!” replies Hywel and storms out.

Angela is having her hair done in the salon, where Sheryl laments that she does not have the energy to go out in the evenings, when Hywel arrives and asks Sheryl if she fancies going to Cwm Delhi tonight. She refuses, so they settle on a takeaway instead.

Angela looks in her handbag for a £10 note and takes out the hedgehog;

“Deri Draenog!” exclaims Sheryl, “Wil brought him home when he was at nursery!”

Angela takes a photo of the hedgehog with Sheryl, wielding her hair straighteners.
Then the phone rings, and Sheryl puts down the appliance to take the call;

Angela suddenly notices smoke, coming from the hedgehog’s paw, where the straighteners have scorched it.

| They tuck in to their meal |
At number 7, the meal is served, and Wiliam tells Gethin and Colin he is sorry if things have been awkward lately.

| "You two snogging on the sofa?" |
“You mean you and Iolo snogging on the sofa?” asks Colin, and asks Gethin to pass the chutney.

Not looking what he is doing, Colin drops it, making a mess of the tablecloth and peppermill. Iolo panics, then tries, with difficulty, to control himself.

| Anita wastes no time in erupting again |
Debbie goes to Anita’s, and as soon as she mentions the café, Anita starts again; “As soon as you got your hands on it, and Meic disappears, you want to change everything! What’s it going to be – Caffi Debs?”
When Debbie tells her it is reverting to “Caffi Meic,”

Anita is still angry; “You’re making a big show of grieving for a man who’s not even dead?”

| "While I'm alone here" |
but Anita accuses her of enjoying having the café while she is alone there. “Well, you’re the one getting rid of all his stuff and leaving an empty house,” retaliates Debbie, “There’s nothing of Meic left now. I want to do something that reminds people of Meic – they’ll see his name every day and never forget, but you’ve got rid of him already.”

At Cwm Delhi, the meal is served, and DJ asks Gemma which European country she would like to live in; when she replies, “Ireland,” he says he will take her there any time.

Then in comes Gwyneth for a takeaway, and Gemma assumes she is following her.

| Sheryl must be getting tired of Hywel's shows of affection |
Next through the door are Sheryl and Hywel; again Hywel ostentatiously hugs Sheryl, saying, “Just giving my family a cuddle.”

When he sees Gemma and DJ, he comments, “I’d hide the knives if I were him!”

| Anita maintains Debbie is to blame for everything |
Anita is still blaming Debbie; “You sent him away, you found Gabriella, and if it weren’t for you, he would still need me, and all his stuff. I want him with me!”

| "And I want him with me!" |
“And so do I,” agrees Debbie, “He didn’t want to be nursed here, with people feeling sorry for him.”

| "How's the evening going?" |
Gemma has popped upstairs to the toilet, so when Gwyneth has been given her takeaway, she asks DJ how the evening is going. “Do you want to know whether I’m staying over?” he jokes.

But then Gemma returns, and asks DJ, “She said something, didn’t she? Did she warn you that I’d stick a knife in you, like Ed, Dani and my mother?”

This rather puts DJ off; he tells Gemma that Gwyneth did not say anything and admits that he has had a fun evening, but, “I’d rather have a night out with the boys.”

Over the meal table, Colin is rather puzzled; “You’ve got a daughter, but you’re gay, and the mother is gay. Well how . . .? Did you just close your eyes and . . .?”

Wiliam quite straightforwardly explains he was the sperm donor, and the laboratory did the rest. Colin reaches the conclusion, “Oh – you missed the best bit, then!”
Gethin does his best to change the subject, suggesting a game of twister, but Iolo does not want to get involved with that, so Gethin and Colin go off to the Deri for a pint.

Wiliam insists that Iolo should see the doctor about his OCD, but Iolo says it is not that but, “I knocked over someone in the car a long time ago; he was seriously hurt and in a wheelchair, but he’s better now. It was Gethin.”
Wiliam remarks that they obviously understand each other now, but Iolo continues, “I drove off and left him lying there.”

As Wiliam protests, “You can’t tell me this,” Iolo pleads with him to listen. “The case went to court, but not against me. Some other guy took the blame and he’s now in jail.”

Wiliam gets up, takes his coat and leaves, saying, “I’m going for a drink!”

Anita and Debbie are now drinking tea together; “I was jealous of you - younger and full of life. He had a lot of fun with you,” says Anita.

| "We chose a good man" |
Debbie reminds her, “But he came back to you. I think we chose a good man, and he’s trying to avoid hurting us. We should remember him, and feel proud we knew him.”
In the Deri Colin remarks that Wiliam is a nice guy; “But Iolo will spoil everything if he doesn’t pull himself together,” adds Gethin.

Then Wiliam walks in and orders a whisky; Colin and Gethin look at each other.

| "What did you tell him, then?" |
Gemma also arrives and stands by Gwyneth at the bar; “What did you tell him?” Gwyneth admits she was tempted, but did not say anything. Gemma accuses her of being jealous and wanting to spoil her date. “No, I was worried about DJ – everyone who gets close to you gets hurt!”

Gemma tells her, “I did have a date, but that’s over, so I want a drink with my friend,” and sits down with her.

Iolo comes into the Deri, and says, “Wiliam!”

| "I don't want to see you again!" |
Wiliam replies,“How obvious do I need to make it? You’re not the person I thought you were. I’m leaving, and don’t follow me because – I’m being honest now – I don’t want to see you again!”
He turns and leaves, as Iolo stands, distraught, and Gethin and Colin watch.
