Dani texts Garry, asking what he wants for dinner, than his iPad sounds its message tone; when Dani looks, there is a message from Sioned,

| . . . but when she sees the message from Sioned . . . |
“We have to talk about the future.”
![]() |
| . . . she wants to know what is going on |
She looks worried.
At APD, Jim is eagerly watching the progress of the online auction, which ends at lunchtime; “There are a lot of people bidding – it might make £200!”

| Dai has a slight problem with Jury Service |
Meanwhile Dai finds a letter in his pocket which he had forgotten, summoning him to Jury Service, but he is due to go to the Caribbean. Apparently he has already postponed his Jury Service twice, which is the maximum, but he gets no sympathy from Jim, who simply laughs at his predicament.

| They are watching the auction when Diane's hat arrives |
Mark delivers a parcel, containing Diane’s sunhat for the holiday, then Ed comes in for a halogen bulb.
![]() |
| "I don't know where Sioned went" |
Dai remarks to him that he saw Sioned, all dressed up, going somewhere, and asks Ed where she was going, but Ed knows nothing of her whereabouts.

| A snap for Bobi's album |
Jim finds the toy hedgehog in his pocket, and poses with a somewhat doleful Dai, while Diane photographs them. Dai grumbles that children should do their own homework.
![]() |
| Mark is very apologetic . . . |
Mark’s next delivery is at Anita’s, where he apologises, but has a registered letter addressed to Meic. Anita erupts with rage;
![]() |
| . . . but he still gets a mouthful from Anita |
“He’s not here and I don’t know his address – stuff your letter!” Kelly is approaching and admonishes Anita; “Half the village can hear you!” ushers her inside

| Kelly signs for the letter |
and signs for the letter.
![]() |
| "You can't let these little things upset you!" |
She tells Anita, “You can’t let these little things upset you. Meic’s post will be coming here for ages.” This does nothing to calm Anita;
![]() |
| "I'm fed up with it all!" |
“I’m fed up with people treating me with kid gloves and expressing sympathy! They all ask about Meic – it’s as if I have disappeared altogether.”
She then jumps up and starts removing things from the cupboard; Despite Kelly trying to dissuade her, she insists,
![]() |
| "What's the point of keeping his stuff?" |
“Everything reminds me of him – I don’t want reminding of him, because he’s not coming back! What’s the point of keeping all his stuff?”
![]() |
| Jim watches the price rise inexorably |
As Diane tries on her new hat, Eileen comes into APD; Jim, still intently watching the auction, predicts they are going to make a fortune. Diane comments, “You should take Eileen on holiday, as it’s nearly her birthday,” but it is lost on Jim, who is too busy watching the screen to take any notice.
![]() |
| "Right, I think that's everything" |
By now, Anita has gathered together all Meic’s clothes and piled them on the bed,
![]() |
| "Don't you want to keep this – it was Meic's favourite? |
insisting that they all go to Megan’s charity shop, telling Kelly, “I feel surrounded by all this stuff –
![]() |
| Anita frantically tries to pull the bed apart |
“and I want to get rid of this bed!”
![]() |
| Kelly sits her down and tries to calm her |
Kelly sits her down and agrees to phone to have the bed collected, and then to help take everything over to Megan’s shop.
The excitement grows to fever pitch in the last few seconds of the auction; Diane counts down,
![]() |
| Rather a strange closing figure – £497.86 |
“Three, two, one,” then the screen appears which informs them they have made £497.86,
![]() |
| They look pleased with the result, and head for the Deri . . . |
and they all resolve to go off to the Deri to celebrate, but Dai says he will join them in a minute.
![]() |
| . . . but Dai does an internet search |
First he conducts a search on the “Chwilota” search engine: “How to get out of jury service.”
![]() |
| Dani tells Ed of her fears |
As Ed is fitting the halogen bulb in his table lamp, Dani arrives and voices her fears; “I’m afraid Sioned is chasing after Garry,” she tells him, “Can you keep her under control?”
![]() |
| "Are you sure?" |
Ed cannot believe this,
![]() |
| Ed wants to "have it out" with Sioned . . . |
He is forced to admit that things look suspicious, and wants to confront Sioned immediately, but Dani says that they need evidence.
![]() |
| "We must have conclusive proof" |
She has an idea that Garry financed Sioned’s purchase of the taxi business, but they must find proof before saying anything.
![]() |
| "I can't accept this without Meic's agreement" |
Megan at first refuses to accept the clothes, on the grounds that Meic has not given his permission for them to be sold. Then, in the face of Kelly’s intransigence, she offers to put them to one side, in case Anita reconsiders, but Anita is emphatic that she wants to be rid of it all. She also takes off her locket and adds that to all the other items.
![]() |
| "A letter from the hospital and a doctor's note?" |
At the Deri, while the others celebrate, Dai is talking (in English) on his phone; “Oh, I need a letter from the hospital and a doctor’s note? Right, I’ll look into it.” Diane has gone to get another bottle of wine when Jim rejoins Eileen and Jim.
![]() |
| "You really have to tell her, Dai!" |
“You’ll really have to tell her,” urges Eileen, and Dai is disgusted that Jim has told her. “Husbands and wives usually tell each other things,” Eileen informs him.
![]() |
| An uneasy peace is starting to descend . . . |
Kelly has phoned to arrange collection of all the medical stuff tomorrow;
![]() |
| . . . when Mark appears, and it all kicks off again |
then Mark arrives with the bag and box he says he rescued from Megan’s shop. Predictably, Anita is furious; “Rescued? If I wanted it, I wouldn’t have taken it there in the first place!”
![]() |
| "You could sell all the stuff online" |
Mark argues that Jim and Dai made a small fortune online, and she could make some money selling Meic’s stuff, but she again rants, “Money? I sorted this once –
![]() |
| "I don't want it in the house!" |
“I don’t care what you do with it, but I don’t want it in the house! Take it away!”
Kelly grabs a bag and marches out, urging Mark, in what hardly sounds like Welsh, “Come on, man, shift!”
![]() |
| Mark finds the video camera . . . |
They take it all to Maes-y-deri,
![]() |
| . . . containing meic's video . . . |
where Mark finds the film which Meic recorded on the camera.
![]() |
| . . . so he takes out the SD card . . . |
He takes out the SD card and puts it in an envelope marked, “Anita,”
![]() |
| . . . and it, together with the locket, go into an envelope |
with Kelly adding the locket.
Back home at Bryntirion, Diane wants Dai to get the cases down from the loft, so she can start packing.
![]() |
| Diane is off to get their holiday dollars tomorrow |
She tries to grab Dai’s wallet from his pocket, and he takes pains to make sure she does not see the letter. She wants his credit card so she can go to town tomorrow to pick up some dollars for their holiday.
![]() |
| She will have to be told some time, Dai |
“Caribbean, here we come!” she enthuses, but Dai simply looks glum.
