| First Dai adds butter to whatever is in that bowl . . . |
Diane asks when the Jury Service will be ending; “Who knows?” replies Dai.
![]() |
| . . . then a spoonful of sugar . . . |
“I forgot, you’re deciding if O J Simpson is guilty!” objects Diane, “We should be having breakfast on the veranda. I wouldn’t mind if you kept quiet then – it would be a bonus!”
![]() |
| . . . the usual milk . . . |
Meanwhile Dai is constructing his rather unorthodox breakfast.
![]() |
| . . . but tea, straight out of the pot? |
“Right, stuff you and your breakfast,” says Diane,
![]() |
| Whatever it is, it appears to taste nice! |

| Then Britt turns threatening |
“You’ll do this if your family means anything to you! What you’ve done is going to come out, and it’s likely you’ll go to jail. In order to look after the children, I’ll leave you and deny any knowledge of the fraud!” This leaves Siôn somewhat shaken.
![]() |
| Gwen, Madge and Beti wonder what she is doing |
The café customers are intrigued to see Debbie coming downstairs backwards, carefully scrutinising each step.
![]() |
| Then DJ gets a surprise |
Then she searches under DJ’s table, which he finds rather offputting. She tells him she is looking for an earring.
![]() |
| You can tells her mind is not on Diane's order |
When Diane arrives and orders black coffee and egg on toast, Debbie’s mind is obviously elsewhere. Diane mentions that Colin told her Debbie has an interesting lodger; “Bring it down here – I shall get more sense out of it!” she says.
![]() |
| "You're a good man, Siôn!" |
Siôn comes out of the door of Bethania, when Mark sees him and thanks him for offering a helping hand to Anita. “You’ve given her a boost – you’re a good man, Siôn!”
![]() |
| That grey blur is the slate, just missing Siôn . . . |
As Siôn is about to unlock the vestry door, Mark calls him back to give him a bill, and at that very second a slate from the roof crashes down,
![]() |
| . . . and shattering on the pavement |
exactly where Siôn had been standing.
Mark comments, “Someone is looking after you – or trying to tell you something!”
![]() |
| Diane commiserates with Debbie . . . |

![]() |
| Lois succinctly summarises Hywel |
Lois orders her to stop it. “Face facts – Hywel Llywelyn was always an old dog! He was never good enough for you, and the sooner you realise, the better. Don’t waste another second, feeling sad about that waster!”
![]() |
| "If you won't listen to me, listen to your God!" |

At the same moment Anita opens the door, and Colin falls in through it.

| . . . into Anita's house |
“Sorry, Mark, our secret’s out,” says Anita, sarcastically; “It was nice while it lasted,” he replies. We’re just friends – I know it’s boring, but loneliness leads to finding friendship.”
![]() |

She tells Colin that he is suffering as much as they are from loneliness.

“Life is a lot easier without men,” she says, but excludes her father from that statement. Gaynor regrets that she started the separation between her and Colin,

![]() |
| "I'm going on holiday – without you!" |
“Right, you’ve pushed me all week to do this, so don’t act surprised when I tell you you’re going to the bank tomorrow to withdraw the money for a week’s holiday for me. Me and a person of my choice – which won’t be you!”

| Mal laughs at the ugly sculpture, minus one horn |
