| Ricky is looking after a pet |
Ricky has brought in a glass tank, with an ill-fitting, flimsy lid, containing an enormous, hairy spider; he tells Debbie he is looking after the pet for a friend at school. When he has gone, she looks and gets the shock of her life;

| "That's not a flipping gerbil!" |
jumping back, she exclaims, “That’s not a flipping gerbil!”

| "What are you doing in my flat?" |
Dani comes home to find Sioned looking around her flat;

| "I want my phone back! |
“You know what I’m doing – I want my phone back! Hand it over!” demands Sioned.
“Are you calling me a thief?” asks Dani, but Sioned tells her she has been back to the club and searched her mother’s car three times.

| "I want you to leave now!" |
Dani answers, “So one of your friends has taken it? But not Deb, or Kelly or Angela! I want you to leave now.”
On her way out, Sioned adds, “Why were you going through my phone the other day? I don’t know what your game is, but I’ll find out.”

| Eileen takes her car to the garage . . . |
Eileen takes her car to the garage and asks Gethin if they have some heavy-duty cleaner for car seats.

| . . . to see if they can get rid of the smell . . . |
Gethin has heard; “Ah, the present Debbie left you!”

| . . . "Phew! I see what you mean!" |
When Eileen tells him she has bought rail tickets to the spa weekend, he breaks the news that there is likely to be a rail strike.
At the cafĂ©, Debbie angrily leaves a message for Ricky; “I want a word with you about your little friend upstairs! Phone back, or you’re grounded for a month!”

| Debbie's memory of Tuesday night has returned |
Eileen comes in, and Debbie suddenly remembers what happened on Tuesday night, and is full of apologies. Eileen is sympathetic and says that Angela told her that she too is going to be a grandmother.

“It doesn’t mean your life is over – you’re just starting a new one!”

| "People expect it at your age!" |
Debbie rudely replies, “People expect it at your age, I’m far too young!”

| Ed is surprised by Dani's admission |
Dani comes in and finds Ed sitting at a table; he complains that Sioned has been on all morning about Dani stealing her phone. He is taken aback when Dani admits, “I did take it! Come over this afternoon – Garry has gone to Swansea,” and walks out again.

At school, Gaynor enters Ffion’s classroom and puts down two files on a desk.

| Ffion makes excuses for her actions |
“This coursework is exactly the same – Elliw Bevan’s and Arwyn Hughes’ from last year!”
“I wasn’t expecting her to copy it word for word,” says Ffion, “It was intended to guide her in the right direction. It’s so difficult for her at home, and I know how important good results are for you. I did it for Elliw and the school; she’d fallen so far behind and was going to be punished for something beyond her control.”

In the Deri, Debbie insists, “I wasn’t that bad!” but Sioned snaps back, “How do you know – you can’t remember it?”

| "Another night out — you must be joking!" |
When Debbie suggests another night out, Sioned says she must be joking.
Eileen is upset about the rail tickets she bought online, and says she will get no refund it the rail strike goes ahead. Angela tells her there will be an announcement this afternoon.
Debbie turns to Angela; “Thanks for sharing my secret with Supergran!”

Angela points out that they could have left her there to sort herself out, but Eileen went out of her way to bring them all home. “I told her to explain the reason for your behaviour!” Debbie gets up and goes, while Sioned marvels at the fact that Eileen has spent nearly £400 on the rail tickets.

| Dani presents the evidence to Ed . . . |
Dani shows Ed the message from Garry to Sioned the night they both went missing;

she also reads another message, “You were perfect. I have an envelope for you. Come and get it when you’re ready.”

| "This is not an affair – it's dodgy business!" |
She explains to Ed, “This is not an affair – I believe that Sioned has been doing dodgy work for Garry, and in the envelope is her cut of the money!” Ed is shocked.

When Ricky arrives home, Debbie insists, “That thing can’t stop here! I nearly had a heart attack this morning.” Ricky replies that it is a pity, as the boys at school have been saying that she is “super cool”,

giving Terry a holiday, and even calling her “Spiderwoman.”
She reluctantly agrees to keep it there; “Super Cool – I like being super cool,” she mutters.

However, while tidying up, she dislodges the totally inadequate lid on the tank.

| Gaynor has already done the dirty deed |
Gaynor visits Ffion, who is alone as Jinx and Arwen are on holiday with Taid, and apologises, although she has already made a report about the incident.

| "Find another shoulder to cry on!" |
Ffion is unrepentant; “I tried to help Elliw when she needed it, and you came over here, hoping that I’d comfort you? Just get out and find another shoulder to cry on!”

| She finds Gethin's number |
Ffion finds her phone and scrolls to Gethin’s name.
Debbie sits morosely in front of the television.

| "Have you made arrangements for your funeral?" |
Her mood is not brightened by the advertisement, in English: “Have you made arrangements for your funeral? Why not have peace of mind, knowing that everything has been taken care of, before the time comes?”
She changes channels, where a voice announces that the rail strike will not now go ahead.

Ffion arrives at Gethin’s, where he serves her orange juice, “with a hint of ginger.” She is so lonely, and did not realise how much noise Arwen made. Gethin jokes that he was a quiet child, as Dani made so much noise, nobody heard him.

“How does Salade Nicoise with fresh Tuna sound?” he asks, and Ffion calls him “an angel”.

| Ed says he is exhausted . . . |
In the Deri, Ed tells Sioned that these double shifts are killing him, “But it will be worth it for the money, I suppose. I’m looking forward to you and me getting some peace – to talk.

“We haven’t had the chance to talk properly.”

| "Look what someone out in my bag" |
Just then Dani dashes in; “I don’t know who did it, but I just found this in the bottom of my bag! You must have put it in the wrong bag.”
Sioned erupts, to the amusement of the other customers of the Deri;

“There’s only one thing I like better than driving round Swansea and Cwmderi, and that’s hiding my mobile in other people’s handbags!”
Dani hands over the phone, says, “Enjoy your weekend,” and leaves.

| "Come to Chez Gethin more often!" |
Ffion tells Gethin, “That was the nicest supper I’ve had for weeks!” He encourages her to visit Chez Gethin more often. “To make it perfect, I’d like a warm bath, with candles and Mozart playing,” she fantasises.

“I’ll go and run the taps,” volunteers Gethin, and Ffion says that is what Eileen and the girls will be doing all weekend.

| Gethin points out the disadvantages of adopting |
Gethin suggests having a rota for her and Jinx to look after Arwen, then she could get away and be pampered. “You’ve enjoyed tonight – why not do it again?” he asks.
He points out that life is difficult with one child, and that adopting another would make it twice as bad,

| Ffion thinks it is time to go |
but Ffion takes this as a signal that it is time to go. “You’re doing this for his sake,” he tells her,

| A quick kiss and off she goes |
but she kisses him and leaves.

| "You're going to be an uncle" |
Debbie sits on the sofa with Ricky and reveals that he is going to be an uncle; he says,

| "So you're going to be . . ." |
“You know what this means – you’re going to be . . .”

| What is that on Debbie's shoulder? |
Debbie tells him she knows what he is going to say, but something hairy is visible on her right shoulder.

Ricky assures her, “You don’t look old enough to be a granny,” and neither of them notice the presence of Terry the tarantula.
