Kelly prepares for the budget fashion photo shoot

Kelly is looking through some clothes she has bought at Maenen, and when Anita comes downstairs, announces that she has organised a fashion shoot; “Party Hottie on a budget – type of thing,“ she says.

“We’re going to have breakfast at the café, then you’re helping model dresses.”

Anita's excuses do not convince Kelly

Anita makes excuses, which Kelly sees through immediately; “You have to leave the house at some point – you haven’t been socialising since the money business.” As Anita pleads that she feels so ashamed, Kelly insists,

"Go on, get changed!"

“Go on, get changed – you have to face the public at some stage.”

"Don't be too hard on Chester"

As Siôn works on his computer, Britt asks him not to be too hard on Chester; “We all do stupid things at that age. This is not a personal vendetta – he deserves to be punished, and then life goes on.”

Siôn appears to have some serious trouble

“What’s going on here?” exclaims Siôn, as his computer screen fills with all sorts of error messages. His frantic presses of keys make no difference. “My work! Aargh!”

As Angela is getting ready for work, Eifion tells her he is going to see Sioned, to check she is pulling her weight and that the car is making money for him. “And check she’s not spending the money on Christmas presents!” suggests Angela.

Angela is called for the results of her tests

Then she has a phone call, and agreees to go to the surgery for her test results; she will meet Eifion for lunch in the Deri afterwards.

"I had another client last night"

Vicky goes to see Dani and announces, “I had another client last night – here’s your cut.” Dani’s first reaction is to ask if she slept with him. “No, I don’t do that any more,” replies Vicky,

She reports the trouble with Hywel

“But the bad news is that it was Hywel, and he tried to pay for more – he’d booked a room! He got angry and made me feel really cheap. I’m worried what he’ll tell Sheryl, as a lot of people saw us together.”

Eifion is safeguarding his investment

Eifion visits the Deri flat, and demands, “I want to know how you’re promoting the business. People must know about us, especially at this time of year.”

"Advertising is expensive!"

When Sioned protests that advertising is expensive, he continues, “But a blog isn’t! I want you to put new stuff on the website each day, and get Kelly to write a feature about us. I must have value from my investment.” When he has left, Ed advises that she had better come up with a few ideas.

Sion looks for computer repairers

When Britt returns from the Cash and Carry, Siôn is leafing through the yellow pages, as Hywel has not rung him back.

"Why don't we carry on where we left off?"

Britt suggests, “I’ve got an hour before I have to go to the Deri – why don’t we carry on our plans from last night?”

This does not go down well with Siôn, worried sick about his computer and its repair.

"Just let me get this sorted out"

“It’s not that I don’t want to, but this is the worst possible time! Just let me get this sorted out, then I’ll make sure we have some time to ourselves.”

"Fancy a bit of modelling this afternoon?"

In the café, Kelly asks Dani if she wants to do some modelling this afternoon, but she has clients at the salon.

Eifion suggests a subject for a Western Post article

Then Eifion comes in, proposing that Kelly should do an item on Ceir Sir Gar; “An interesting new business in a small village,” but Kelly dismisses this as free advertising.

Anita pipes up with the thought that Angela would make a good model. Kelly appreciates this; “You’re much more than a pretty face, Auntie Anita!”

"You're a pretty face too!"

Then she looks at Eifion and tells him, “You’re a pretty face too!”

Dani tells Hywel off

Dani runs after Hywel in the street, berating him, “Vicky says you were nasty to her last night!”

"She didn't deliver the service!"

Hywel in turn accuses Vicky of being unprofessional; “She didn’t deliver the service! I don’t take my car to the car-wash and wash it myself! She sat down and ate the food I paid for – we all know what service you offer!

"You women are all the same!"

“You women are all the same – promise the world, take it all and give nothing back. You just use men!”

"Look at yourself, Hywel!"

Dani furiously responds, “Look at yourself and the hurt you’ve caused to Sheryl, Gaynor, Ffion, Nesta – want me to go on? I know you’re going through a difficult time, but you can’t blame others! Whatever you think of them – I bet you’ve done a lot worse!”

Hywel is temporarily put in his place

This puts Hywel in his place.

"Am I a genius, or what?"

Eifion finds Sioned in the Deri and announces, “Am I a genius, or what? Kelly is doing a feature on Ceir Sir Gar, using our cars in a fashion shoot, if we model the clothes – us two, Ed, Angela and Gemma.”

Sioned does not intend demeaning herself

Predictably, Sioned is less than keen; “What clothes? Style and Kelly don’t go in the same sentence. I’ll do it – but in my own clothes!”

Angela is simply anaemic

Angela comes in and tells Eifion that the results show that she is anaemic, nothing more, much to her relief.

A bilingual poster, for a change

As Dani and Vicky admire their latest offer in the salon window, Ed passes;

"Can we use Deri Deithio taxis?"

Dani asks him if they can use Deri Deithio taxis for Cwmni Perffaith.

"A client who wouldn't take no for an answer"

Vicky tells him, “I had a scare with a client who wouldn’t take no for an answer. I would feel safer if there were a strong man waiting in the taxi.”

"I'll pose as your boyfriend"

He readily agrees to collect her, and suggests posing as her boyfriend, as it would make it harder for the clients to try it on. Of course his final comment is, “Don’t tell Sioned!”

Hywel deciphers this lot as very concerning

As Hywel delves into the computer diagnostics,

"I have to get my work back!"

Siôn is anxious that he gets his work back. “A lot of rubbish has been downloaded – have you clicked on any dodgy links?” enquires Hywel, but Siôn insists he is always very careful.

"I think you'd better start again!"

“This has not happened by chance – someone has gone to a lot of effort to download all these videos and films. It was deliberate – could it have been one of the children?” Hywel asks, and Siôn suspiciously replies that could possibly be the answer. Hywel will take the machine home and work on it but regrets that there is not much hope.

High and mighty Sioned will wear her own clothes

In the Deri, the various models are wearing the Maenan clothes, but of course Sioned insists on wearing her own. When they have trooped outside for the photo shoot,

Is Hywel turning on the old charm again?

Anita and Hywel are left alone at the bar, and he buys her a drink.

Sioned, luxury car propriatrix

Outside, Sioned is her usual insufferable self; “I should be on the bonnet, as it’s my car. Eifion can bring champagne on a tray,” she orders.

Anita is ashamed

Anita tells Hywel how ashamed she is on the business with the money, and he invites her for a meal. “A rebound date?” she replies, but does agree to the meal, simply as a friend. “I know exactly how you’re feeling – I’ve lost two children,” she says, and Hywel admits to her that he has lost everything.

As the photographer snaps away,

Sioned wants no change in the arrangement

Sioned tells Eifion that she does not want any change in their agreement. He insists, “I like the variety; look at today – it was my idea and it’s now become a 2-page spread!” Angela tries to dissuade him from getting involved.

"I'll just treat him as the bank!"

As she turns back to Ed, Sioned assures him, “I have no plans to treat him as anything other than a bank!”

"Sheryl's head is all over the place"

Anita sympathises with Sheryl, as she was looking for someone to blame; “Sheryl’s head is all over the place at the moment – it’s enough to drive anyone over the edge.

"You have to deal with your own grief"

“And this is not just about Sheryl – you have to deal with your own grief. You’ve lost your son too, and have to learn to live with that. Give her a bit of time and space – that peace and quiet might make her realise how much she misses you.”

Siôn psyches himself up for the confrontation

Siôn sits on the sofa, waiting for Chester’s return from school, then confronts him.

"Someone downloaded rubbish on my computer"

Someone downloaded rubbish on my computer and Hywel can’t retrieve my work!” Britt demands what he means by “someone”.

Siôn continues, “It took time and effort – it’s not a mistake. I’ve spoken to Catrin and Aaron, and they know nothing about it.”

"Nothing to do with me!"

Chester denies that it is anything to do with him. Siôn is becoming bad-tempered; “Tell the truth, Chester, then we’d know that you had some talent, and that you’re not just a time-waster. Do you know how many hours’ work you’ve destroyed? Of course he’s guilty! Who else would do it?”
