Garry wraps up a diminutive parcel, the size and shape of a small handgun, and places it in a carrier bag.

| Dani, imagining herself in a hammock |
Hywel arrives at the salon as Dani is looking at a brochure and imagining herself in a hammock with Garry serving cocktails; “I’d love to have a garden for barbecues,” she tells him, “But we can jump in a car and go to the mountains or the beach.”

| "You go and sit down, dear!" |
When Sheryl comes down he fusses over her and admits, “I’m suffering expectant father panic!” As he makes her sit and rest, Sheryl comments,

| Sheryl comes out with a rather ill-advised comment |
“Having this baby was the best decision I ever made.”

| "It was a mistake – wasn't it?" |
Hywel is surprised; “It sounds like you planned it – it was a mistake, wasn’t it?” She rather stupidly replies, “That’s what you think. It doesn’t matter now anyway – it has all worked out so well.”

| Hywel is stunned |
Hywel is almost speechless, but mutters, “Yes, maybe,” before dashing out. Sheryl realises she should not have said what she did, and looks quizzically at Dani.

| Cadno has not become any less abrasive |
Cadno arrives at the shop to find Sioned assisting; “I’m helping out till Mam is better,” she says. Cadno angrily replies, “The Mother you want to help wants to see me punished. She sent the police to Penrhewl – I’m being prosecuted!”

Sioned takes exception to Cadno’s comment that she wants to speak to Eileen – “Not the monkey!” and then she pushes her way upstairs to the flat.

| Jim wants to sort all this out . . . |
Jim is pleased to see her and hopes this is the chance to sort out their differences.

| . . . but Cadno wants to make a "citizen's arrest" |
Cadno insists, “I want you to come to the police station and admit to trespass – I’m serious! I’m making a citizen’s arrest!” As Jim tries to calm her, Eileen comments,

| "Have you got your handcuffs?" |
“Have you got your handcuffs? Stop this – you’re making a fool of yourself! Are you going to point a gun at me if I don’t come?” Cadno stalks off, warning Eileen, “You’re making a huge mistake!”

| Sheryl is apprehensive |
Sheryl is worrying about what she said when Hywel returns, and after making sure Dani has gone, says to her,

| "You told me you got pregnant deliberately!" |
“You told me that you got pregnant deliberately!” Sheryl tells him that she does not want the baby to think it was a mistake.

| He wants to get to the truth . . . |
Hywel insists that he wants the truth, but she answers, “We’re happy, that’s all that matters. I might have forgotten to take the pill once or twice –its was so stressful for me, as I was seeing a married man!”

He demands, “Did you stop taking it on purpose?” and she nods her head; “Did you consider how I felt? You had no right!”

| Sheryl has now put herself in an awkward situation |
Sheryl maintains that the baby forced them to look to the future, and he continues, “And you were forcing me to leave my wife! You used me, and tricked me!” and he storms off.

| "They's sleep through an elephant stampede" |
In the Deri, Eifion tells Dani he is picking up the boys from Penrhewl, and is glad that they know nothing of what happened; “Like me, they’d sleep through an elephant stampede,” he says. As he has had a couple of pints, he tells Siôn they ought to have a taxi service for the punters.

Siôn immediately suggests to Britt that they should start a Deri minibus service; “It could draw customers away from the Bull at Llanarthur.” Britt tells him that they do not have the money for a tandem, and need to repay Garry before starting any new venture.

Siôn still reckons that accepting Garry’s offer was the best thing he has done; “Preaching from the pulpit will be easier,” he tells her.

| Garry wants some fringe benefits – like free beer |
Garry comes in, expecting his pint to be “on the house”, but Siôn says he cannot remember getting a free service at the garage. Britt tells him that the Monks’ motto is, “Never do business with the police or close family.”

In the flat upstairs, Ed look suspiciously at Sioned, who has a pocket watch, which she explains was her father’s.

| "No, I haven't stolen it!" |
Eileen gave it to her for helping at the shop, and she wants to give it to Ed, as he has been so understanding.

| "I don't know where I'd be without you!" |
“I don’t know where I’d be without you,” she says.

| No, Garry is not moving |
At the bar, Dani tells Garry she wants a garden, but he rules out moving. Then he goes out to the back and asks Siôn for a favour;

| "I want you to put this somewhere safe" |
“Rather a big favour actually. I want you to hide this somewhere safe – you don’t want to know what it is. I’ll let you know when I want it back.”

| "Don't be naïve!" |
When Siôn objects, Garry says, “Don’t be naïve – you didn’t expect me to give you that money for no return, did you? I knew I could rely on you – don’t open it, you’ll sleep easier that way!” Siôn hides it in a drawer away from Britt’s prying eyes.

| Jim attempts to calm things down . . . |
Jim goes to Penrhewl to try and bury the animosity once and for all, but Cadno keeps blaming Eileen;

| . . . but ends up calling Cadno "crazy!" |
“No wonder you fired the gun – you’re crazy!” Jim exclaims, “I’m doing my best to build bridges, while you make yourself another enemy! I’m not surprised Eifion left you!”

Cadno demands why Eifion did not defend her, but he says it is none of his business. Cadno reveals to him that the police actually told her not to waste their time about the trespass, but still insists,

“I’ll get through this without your help, or anyone else’s!”

| Hywel tells Gaynor his troubles . . . |
Hywel goes to Gaynor’s, telling her that he had to get away. When he tells her that he and Sheryl have quarrelled, she is not sympathetic;

“I don’t want to know. You’ve got a nerve, coming here. Your first argument – not a bed of roses then? You’re going to be a father, be up at night, go to parents’ evenings with other parents half your age! You must live with your mistakes!”

He complains, “She got pregnant deliberately. She stopped taking the pill without telling me. Now she’s got what she wanted, with no thought for my feelings.”

| "Don't worry, Hywel will be back" |
Meanwhile, in the Deri, Dani tells Sheryl that Hywel just needs time to think it through, and he will be back.

Sheryl replies that she did not get pregnant just to make him leave Gaynor. Dani comments, “You’re not that sort of woman, are you?” Sheryl wishes that she thought before opening her big mouth.

Jim returns from the farm to the Deri and laments to Britt, “If only Cadno would admit it was her fault!” Britt confesses she is afraid of burglars at the chippy when she is cashing up.

“If I heard someone coming in, I’d fire a gun!” she says, but Garry comments, “That’s why we shouldn’t have guns, isn’t it, Siôn? Don’t want to get like America, everyone is trigger-happy!”

He laughs, but Siôn certainly does not.

| Cadno decides the boys are staying with her . . . |
Cadno has changed her mind about Eifion having the boys, and when the taxi arrives to collect them and he explains that he had a couple of pints in the Deri, she seizes on that excuse.

“You’re in no fit state to take the boys! I need them here with me – I don’t have anyone else.”

As she tells Bobi and Arthur to say, “Ta-ta to Dadi,” Eifion angrily leaves alone and climbs over the gate to where Ed is waiting with his taxi,

idly playing with the watchchain. Ed remarks, “Cadno had a strop, did she?” which irritates Eifion, who grabs the watch and tosses it away.

Ed tries to locate the watch,

but is unable to find it.
Over a cup of tea, Gaynor advises Hywel that he has to talk to Sheryl.

He suddenly wants to mow the lawn, but she says she is perfectly capable of doing that. They reminisce about the hydrangea she bought him for a birthday once.

| "Can I do anything else for you?" |
He asks is there is any other job she would like him to do, then resolves he had better go and find Sheryl. Gaynor tells him to do what his heart tells him,

and looks pleased as he leaves.

| Ed has borrowed Colin's metal detector |
Outside the Deri, Sioned finds Ed loading Colin’s metal detector into the boot of the taxi; he says that one of his fares lost a ring.

| Sheryl and Hywel apologise to each other |
Then Sheryl meets Hywel, and she apologises profusely to him, assuring him she will never keep a secret again. He too is sorry that he overreacted. “You and this baby are my future – now I have a second chance to start a family with the man I love!” she enthuses.

Garry catches Siôn about to look in the drawer; “I wouldn’t do that if I were you! Don’t do anything stupid - what’s in there is none of your business, understand?
