27 July 2015

Anita is very depressed . . .
When Kelly comes downstairs, Anita is looking depressed;  she explains,
. . . as a result of her dream
“I had an awful dream – I could hear Meic calling for me, but I was in a dark cave somewhere and couldn’t get to him!   What if it’s a sign he’s getting worse – or that he’s died?   I can’t take this much longer!”
"No news is good news"
Kelly tries to tell her that it was only a dream, and that no news is good news.
"Everything's great!"
At breakfast time in the farmhouse, Cadno tells DJ to smile;  “There’s no need to worry, everything’s great!   We got a better price for the lambs than we expected, and the calves are going without a hitch.”
"And you're going to court for trying to shoot Eileen!"
DJ reminds her, “And you’re going to court for trying to shoot Eileen – great!”   Cadno informs him that her solicitor agrees that she was simply defending herself in her own home, and blames DJ for being away on a jolly holiday with Eifion when it happened.
"It is going to be all right"
She tells him to shut up about the case, as it is going to be all right.
"No, you can't have a fortnight off!"
Garry is on the phone, telling Gethin that there is no way he can take two weeks off.   He moans at Dani that her brother wants to go off for a fortnight;  “I said no!   He’s not going with Ffion or anyone else!”
Dani is worried about the relationship
Dani is worried that the relationship is moving too fast;  “What if she falls off the wagon while they’re away?” she asks.   As Geraint has injured his hand, Garry insists there is no possibility of him running the garage on his own.   “My business is more important that your brother’s love affairs,” he says, as he leaves for work.
Ffion, in bed, is brought a cup of tea
As Ffion sits in bed, Gethin brings a cup of tea;
"You're on your way to Cardigan"
“Pack your bags, Mrs Llywelyn, you’re on your way to Cardigan.   Garry says that I can go – why would he let down his best mechanic?   I’ve booked a cottage – and the price had gone down!
"Lots of cwtches!"
We’ve just got to pack, pick up Arwen from Y Felin, and off we go for two weeks of peace – and lots of cwtches!
"You'd think her boyfriend had gone to Timbuktu"
In the café, Debbie has just had an anguished phone call from Vicky in London;  “You’d think her boyfriend had gone to Timbuktu, not Liverpool,” says Debbie.
Debbie likes Sioned's idea
Sioned suggests she could visit Vicky in London, and Ed insists that he and Gwen can run the café,
Sioned has been volunteered to help
with Sioned helping if necessary.
"Someone is very soppy this morning!"
Sioned comments, “Someone is very soppy this morning,” and Ed replies that family is more important than anything else, including business.
"The editor wants some 'cool new stuff'!"
Anita tells Kelly that the paper is lucky to have her working there, and Kelly explains that the editor wants some “cool new stuff”.
"Sorry for going on about my silly dream"
Anita apologises for going on about her silly dream and says she feels much better now that she is awake.
"Phone me back please!"
As soon as Kelly has gone, Anita gets her phone, and leaves a message for Meic;  “I hope you get this – I want to know how you are.   Phone me back please – I’ve been worried!”
"Yes, OK, nine o'clock on Saturday"
Garry is arranging to service another car when Gethin comes in to collect his jacket;
"You're an hour late already!"
“Finish the Mondeo by lunchtime, then start on Mr Rees’ gearbox,” Garry orders.   Gethin replies that he is going on holiday, but Garry tells him that he is not.
“I’ve got new priorities, and for once I’m doing the right thing,” insists Gethin.   Garry asks whether his new priorities will pay for food and rent.
Garry is becoming angry
Garry stresses, “If you don’t work here this week, you won’t have a job!” but Gethin is sure he would not do that;
"You and I both know you need me!"
“You and I both know you need me!” he says.
"Give Gethin time to think"
Dani has come in during this exchange, and urges Garry to let him have the holiday, as it will give him time to think.
"I've got to work out what to do!"
Again Garry tells her, “I told you, I’m not interested in your brother’s love life!   What am I going to do now?”   He wants her to go while he thinks about the situation.
An unexpected discovery . . .
Ffion gets out a case, and opens it to find a bottle of vodka inside;  after looking at it, she replaces it, covering it with clothes, but then takes it out again.
. . . and Gethin jumps to conclusions
Of course this is the time when Gethin returns, and finds it difficult to believe that she did not know it was there.   As he looks angrily at her, Ffion pleads, “Don’t look at me like that – you have to believe me!   On Arwen’s life, I didn’t know it was there!”
“I want to believe you, I really do, but if I’m going to help you, you have to be honest with me,” says Gethin.
"We have got a mountain to climb"
“If you can’t remember buying the bottle, let alone hiding it, we have got a mountain to climb.”
"I did think about it – just for a second!"
Ffion admits, “For a second I did think about packing it – but I didn’t – that’s what’s important!”
"Do what you like with it!"
As she hands the bottle to Gethin, she tells him, “I want you and Arwen – do what you like with it!   I don’t want it here.”
Gethin wonders if there is another one somewhere that she forgot about;
"Take it out of my sight, please!"
she assures him if there is she will give that to him as well.   “Now take it out of my sight, please!”
"Debbie has gone to London, and Ed's at the cash and carry"
Anita is surprised to see Sioned behind the café counter;
"Meic, is that you?"
as soon as she sits down she receives a call from Meic, and hurries home.    Debbie is ready to leave for London, and Ed tells her not to worry about the café and to enjoy herself.
All too soon the line goes dead . . .
At home, Anita asks Meic if he is sure he is all right, but only has time to regret the fact that she cannot see him before the line goes dead.
. . . and Anita decides what she is going to do
She looks at the laptop, then starts it up.
"Cadno and Eileen are as bad as each other!"
After receiving a frosty reception at the shop from Eileen, he meets Ed, who is about to go to the cash and carry.
Jim would not serve Cadno at APD
Cadno has tried to order fencing pliers at APD, but reports that Jim would not serve her.   Ed tells her that Sioned is sorry for all the recent trouble.
Cadno points out that if she had not stole the quad, none of this would have happened;
"Garry was putting pressure on Sioned"
Ed unwisely replies that Garry had been putting pressure on Sioned.   “What has Garry got to do with it?” demands Cadno, and Ed tells her that it was Garry’s idea, as he had a customer for the machine.
Immediately, Cadno strides off round the corner towards the garage;
"You deliberately target innocent women?"
she marches in, accusing Garry, “You deliberately target innocent women these days?   You stole my quad!”
"Be more careful with your mouth!"
Garry tells her, “I haven’t stolen anything – you want to be more careful with your mouth!”   Cadno warns him not to come near Penrhewl or he will regret it.
"I'm quaking in my boots!"
When DJ catches up with her, Garry comments, “Oh, the cavalry has arrived – I’m quaking in my boots!”
“I’ve got a court case in a couple of weeks for defending my home,” says Cadno, “What would my solicitor say if I tell him and the police I know you’re behind the theft?   Sioned admitted it – and paid me back for the quad.   Do you think she’ll lie in court with her record?”
"You wouldn't drag Sioned through the court"
When Garry asserts that she would not drag Sioned through the court, Cadno vindictively continues,
"You've been like a bad smell in this village!"
“You’ve been like a bad smell in this village for years – everyone would be happier if you weren’t here!   So don’t come near Penrhewl, or you’ll see how tough an innocent woman can be!”   Garry betrays no emotion as Cadno stalks off, followed by DJ.
Kelly's latest assignment – the woman who keeps pythons
Kelly returns for lunch, as she is on the way to talk to a woman in Llanarthur who keeps, “Wait for it,” she says, “Pythons!”
Obviously, Anita is looking for a cheap flight
Then she notices the laptop, displaying the website of flyforless.com.   Anita dismisses it as a link that popped up when she was searching for recipes.
Kelly thinks it is a good idea for Anita to go on holiday, suggesting Spain or Bulgaria as good value destinations.   Anita tries to change the subject;  “This woman with the pythons – is she a stripper?”
Kelly laughs raucously, replying, in her usual English, “She’s 76, like!”
"Together we'll succeed"
Ffion straighten the bedclothes, and, with Gethin, sits on the bed.   “I’m here to help you – together we’ll succeed,” he tells her, “We’ll leave our phones here, fetch Arwen and go.”
"Running away?"
“Running away?” suggests Ffion, but Gethin answers that they will be looking for the best way to move forward.   “We have a long way to go, don’t we?” says Ffion, wistfully.
"We're going to be fine"
Gethin insists he wants to see a smile on her face;  “We’re going to be fine – come on!”

Anita tells Meic of her plans
Anita phones Meic again, and this time leaves a longer message;  “You might be able to avoid my calls, but you won’t be able to avoid me face to face.   I’ve had enough of this, and I’ve decided to come to Patagonia as soon as possible.   Nothing you say can make me change my mind – I just hope you’ll understand.   I’m heart-broken here, and I love you, Meic!”
