Hywel is up and dressed; Gaynor tells him, “You said some very romantic things last night – you don’t regret staying, do you?”

He replies that it was his choice, and she looks at the picture on her phone, grinning broadly.

| "Straight out of the bottle!" |
Colin, outside the shop, tells Sheryl, cleaning the salon windows, that Gaynor used to have a craving for salad cream, straight from the bottle.

| "Yoghurt and gherkins!" |
For Sheryl it is, “Yoghurt and gherkins – I get in a panic if the fridge is empty!”

Mark comes along with the letters for the salon and asks if Hywel is ready for the great match. “He had a big night in Carmarthen and didn’t come home,” she replies.

Mark concludes, “So that’s his game – pretend to have a hangover when I thrash him!”

| Hywel is famous for chasing women |
Colin warns him, “Hywel is quite a sportsman – cricket, rugby, chasing women. He’s got a lot of stamina!”

| "I've got to check that Sheryl is OK" |
When Gaynor comes downstairs, she wants to make breakfast, but Hywel is keen to go and check that Sheryl is all right. Gaynor assures him, “I don’t want you to think I’m taking advantage of you and Sheryl having a hard time,” but he again confirms he was happy to be there.

He hurries away, but unfortunately leaves his racket behind.

| "We're going to see Mark" |
Garry is not terribly impressed when Dani tells him they are going to watch Mark; “Not Mark and Colin’s stand-up?” he says, and when told it is the tennis match, he comments, “Sounds like fun!”

Ffion calls on Gaynor, who seems unconcerned about being late for school; she tells Ffion, “It can be good to be naughty! Someone I know very well landed here last night, one thing led to another, and he stayed the night.”
“No-one can blame you after the way Hywel treated you,” answers Ffion, then interpreting Gaynor’s mischievous expression, realises,

“It was Hywel! I thought it was over!” Gaynor insists that this is a new part of her life, and she is in a silly mood, which is better than the gloom of the last few months.
Mark tells Debbie that Ricky is looking for a holiday job, and Debbie suggests he could go round, rustling up some votes for her. As he leaves the café, Diane and Gemma come in;

Mark tells Diane, “If you mollycoddle her, she’ll never stand on her own two feet!” but Diane is convinced she can give Gemma stability.

Debbie interrupts, “Do I need to remind you what she did after hearing Mark was dead? She pretended they were getting married!” She also accuses Diane, “You’re using her to prove you’re better than anyone else!” Gemma has heard enough and flounces out.

Anita is vacuuming when Colin brings a box of food, ordered by Hywel; this irritates Anita, who asks, “What am I supposed to do with all this? I can’t do everything!” Then Hywel and Sheryl arrive with another box.

“So this match is just a chance for you to show off!” Anita tells Hywel. Sheryl announces, “He was on the pop last night, so Mr Llywelyn looks shattered,” but she adds,

“Hywel never gets up on the wrong side of the bed.”
Hywel has an unwelcome phone call from Gaynor, advising him that he has left his racket behind.

“I’m home as I’m shattered – for some reason,” she laughs.

As Sheryl tells him he should be helping prepare the sandwiches,

he lies that he has left his racket at Phil’s in Carmarthen, and must fetch it, as he needs it to beat Mark. “Oh, you’re so competitive,” she simpers.

When he reaches Llwyncelyn, he moans at Gaynor for ringing him; “What if Sheryl has checked the phone?” Gaynor maintains that it is only natural for his wife to phone him, and then insists, “We can’t get divorced – we can’t live without each other!”

She is very disturbed by his reply; “We can’t get back together – I need to give this child a stable home with two parents. Last night was a bit of fun, and there’s nothing to stop us having more fun!” As he leaves, with his racket, he spells it out to her;

“Listen, Gaynor, I’m not going to leave Sheryl!”

Dani and Garry are in the Deri when Ffion joins them, and Garry is not happy to hear they are forming a foursome, as Gethin is also invited. “I’m helping my brother – he’s shy with women, and they’re ideal for each other,” Dani assures him.

At the tennis club, Sheryl makes sure that Hywel looks smart, then the players go on to the court,

as Umpire Colin tell them he wants a clean game. He warns Mark against messing about, or he will be banned.

Gethin arrives and tells Ffion he is not interested in watching tennis, but asks if she will give him a lesson. She insists on buying the first round, saying she has been looking forward to this all day.

She asks Anita for four Pimms, which alarms Anita, who says she will make one non-alcoholic, but Ffion insists there is little alcohol in them.

As the game begins, Ffion brings the drinks,

and eagerly takes a swig of hers. She leaves the group for a minute, and Garry comments, “Looks as if she’s back on the pop,”

and to confirm this, picks up her glass and tastes its contents. “There’s something stronger than lemonade in there,” he pronounces, and warns Gethin,

“If you’re sensible, you won’t go near her! You really don’t want to be with an alcoholic! A mechanic with problems at home is no use to me.”
Back at Bryntirion, Diane tries to calm Gemma, telling her that Debbie likes to upset people;

“At least, she’s willing to tell the truth to my face,” answers Gemma, “I don’t know who to trust any more.”
Diane comforts her, “You’re safe here – this is your home, Emma,” and then realises her mistake.

She tells Gemma that Emma had her share of problems too, but she was a fighter. “Maybe we should have a family get-together,

Ffion sees Gaynor and says she is supporting Hywel; Gaynor comments, “If he performs like he did last night . . .”

Ffion considers this rather uncalled-for and moves away from her.

Hywel argues with a decision made by the umpire, and then the players have a break and a drink.

Gaynor warns Hywel to calm down or Mark will beat him, and adds,
“I feel guilty for tiring you out last night.”

Hywel snaps at her, “Last night didn’t happen!” and when invited over after the game as she has a lot of wine to drink, makes it very clear, “I’m not interested – that was last night! You’re not as good as Sheryl!”

Gaynor feels somewhat deflated, and goes to sit down quite near Sheryl;
Gaynor looks at her phone and presses a few buttons.

Sheryl’s phone rings, and she sees it is a message from Gaynor; she looks across, puzzled,

then sees the “selfie”.
Gaynor approaches her; “Don’t expect me to apologise – he is my husband!” Sheryl shouts, “Bitch!” so loudly that Colin calls for quiet, but she again shouts, “Shut up, Colin!” The game stops, and Hywel investigates what is going on.

Sheryl demands, “Was it you or her that took this?” Hywel argues that it is an old photo, but Gaynor gleefully points out,

“No, it was last night! We slept together, and had great fun!” Hywel blusters about it not meaning anything and that it will not happen again.

“You’re right! You’re a dog, and always will be!” exclaims Sheryl.
“You’re welcome to him – but I feel sorry for that baby!” snarls Gaynor,

As the onlookers stare in amazement, Hywel demands that someone call an ambulance.
