"I hope you know what you're doing!"
Siôn has compiled the annual report for Megan, and Britt hopes he knows what he is doing;
Wiliam announces his intention . . .
Wiliam arrives unexpectedly, and wants to ask Siôn something.   “With your permission, I’d like to ask Iolo to marry me,” he says.   Britt is overjoyed as he continues, “I know it’s a bit sudden, but we understand each other.”
. . . Britt hugs him, but Siôn . . .
Siôn comments, “You broke up last week!” and when Wiliam insists he wants to show Iolo he is serious, Siôn mutters,
. . . objects most strongly
“Give him the key to your flat, buy a cat or a budgie or something, but don’t expect me to give my blessing, not after a five-minute fling!”
Megan arrives, and Wiliam seizes the opportunity to escape, as Siôn says, “Wiliam and I understand each other, don’t we?”
"I'm fairly sure it's in order"
Siôn assures Megan, “I’m fairly sure that it’s in order,” but Britt looks anxious.
Jim reports for work at Penrhewl
Cadno has apparently employed a casual labourer at the farm, and is suprised when Jim arrives to help;  “There’s no sense in you being on your own,” he tells her.   She allocates him to stack the bales of silage.
Iolo and Wiliam are off, trekking
Iolo and Wiliam, wearing their rucksacks, come out of the shop and go off for a walk.
Garry emerges from the chippy with his lunch, walks round the corner and collides with a stranger coming the other way, sending his chips to the ground.
Garry's chips are on the ground
“You looking for trouble?” demands Garry,
Furious, he flings the empty carton in the bin
but the man, carrying a brown paper parcel, says he is looking for a taxi.
"You're so conscientious!"
Megan praises Siôn for the quality of his book-keeping;  “You’re so conscientious, down to the last penny.   I’m ashamed of myself for not doing my fair share.”   Siôn replies that he and Britt are used to doing the Deri and chip shop accounts, so one more is no hardship.
"Why don't I handle the accounts?"
Megan is insistent;  “Why don’t I handle the accounts for the next quarter to take the pressure off you?   I am supposed to be part of the leadership.”
Siôn employs his persuasive powers . . .
Siôn tells her his weakness is that he cannot delegate, and manages to persuade her to pay the weekly collection into the bank instead.
. . . and gets the accounts back
As the accounts book is handed back, he smiles smugly at Britt.
"Yes, I've got it – I'm still in Cwmderi"
The man with the parcel is in the café, talking to someone on the phone;  Sioned informs him that a taxi will be there in five minutes.   When Garry comes in, he asks Sioned, “Who’s he?” but Sioned does not know.
"Penrhewl have a 4x4, don't they?"
Then Garry gets to the point of his visit;  “I’ve had an order for a 4x4 – there’s one at Penrhewl, isn’t there?”
"Cadno's lost enough already!"
Sioned protests that Cadno has lost enough already, but Garry says, “If she had played her cards right, she would have got a decent sum from the insurance!”   Sioned emphasises she wants nothing to do with the job.
Tea-break time for Cadno, Jim and the casual labourer
As they have a tea-break, Cadno praises Jim for his hard work;
Wiliam and Iolo are a bit off course . . .
then Iolo and Wiliam arrive on their hike, with Cadno pointing out the actual route of the public footpath, and adds,
. . . so Cadno puts them right
“Make sure you close the gates!”
Jim discovers he has not been stacking the bales efficiently
As they get back to work, Jim discovers some of the bales he has been stacking have tears in their plastic covering.
"Oh, this and that"
Ed, driving the taxi, discovers that his fare used to work in a Port Talbot foundry, as he did, but when asked what he is doing now, the man warily replies, “Oh, this and that.”   He pays Ed £10 and walks to his house, still carrying the parcel.
Jim will be back tomorrow
When Jim leaves Penrhewl, promising to be back tomorrow, he gives back the tractor key,
"The spare house key is gone!"
then Cadno discovers that the spare house key is missing.   “You must have dropped it somewhere – if you don’t find it, I’ll change the lock tomorrow,” says Jim.   As he goes, he sees the damaged bales, and dials DJ’s number, but only hears a message,
Jim cannot contact DJ
“I can’t answer the phone right now.”
An idyllic riverside picnic spot
Iolo and Wiliam are at their picnic spot by the river, where Wiliam asks,
"Sure you're all right about London?"
“Are you sure you’re all right about London?”
"Looking forward to it!"
and Iolo confirms he is looking forward to it.   Wiliam continues,
"I want to ask you to marry me!"
“Do you know what matters most to me? – You!   That’s why I want to ask you to marry me – will you?”   Iolo looks stunned.
"He dropped his credit card in the taxi"
Back home, Ed tells Sioned, “That bloke I picked up – there’s something about him, and he dropped his credit card in the taxi.”   He gets up and intends to return it.
Iolo does not like having this sprung on him . . .
“I don’t know why you won’t consider it,” protests Wiliam, but Iolo complains that it is unfair, as they have agreed to have a long-distance relationship.   “Why do you have to complicate it?”
. . . so that is the end of the picnic
Despite Wiliam’s arguments, Iolo is of the opinion that marriage is a step too far, so they pack up their picnic materials.
"What's the meaning of this?"
Megan strides into the Deri with an envelope in her hand;  “What’s the meaning of this?   There are thousands missing from the account!   There is no mention of this in the annual report!”
"I hope you're not accusing me of stealing!"
“I hope you’re not suggesting this is my doing!   Accusing me of stealing from Bethania!” blusters Siôn.   Megan maintains she is not accusing anyone, but he is adamant that he will go to the bank in the morning and sort the matter out.
"It's unforgivable!"
“I’ll get to the bottom of this – it’s unforgivable!   Thank you for drawing my attention to it;  I’ll phone you when I get some sense out of them.”   Britt quietly remarks, “It’s only a matter of time before Megan finds out.”
"What's that all about?" asks Garry
Garry asks Britt what is the problem with Megan, and Britt manufactures a story about Megan’s will being complicated, but Garry is far from convinced.
Jim reckons he has done a good day's work
Jim boasts in the Deri of his hard work at the farm and how pleased Cadno was with him.   As Sioned enquires how Cadno is, she receives a text from Garry,
Garry appears to be doing the job without Sioned's help
saying simply, “Penrhewl tonight”.
He smiles at her
She looks over at him, standing by the bar, and he smiles.
Cadno is feeling under the weather
Cadno is tired out, and is suffering from a cold;  she makes a lemon drink and curls up on the sofa, watching the television.
Helen and Ben are having a difference of opinion
When Ed returns to the home of the man, apparently called Ben, to return the credit card, he and his wife, Helen, come out of the house, bringing out the black bin to the pavement.   They argue loudly;  he says he cannot afford to turn down the work, and his wife shouts, “This job is too dangerous – it could kill you!”
Ed changes his mind and drives off
As Ben says he is not going to listen to her any more, Ed has second thoughts and drives away.
"Fine police officer you are – getting us lost!"
Iolo and Wiliam have become lost in the fields, and Iolo is becoming more and more angry;  he thinks that they are near to Penrhewl, and could asks Cadno to drive them home.
Barking dogs wake Cadno . . .
Cadno has fallen asleep on the sofa, and it is dark when the sound of barking dogs wakes her.   As she approaches the door, she hears the sound of someone outside, so in a panic unlocks the gun cabinet and takes out a shotgun.
"How are we going to get out of this?"
Britt asks, “How are we going to get out of this, Siôn?”   When he tells her that he will think of something, she is unconvinced;
"Let's tell her the fairies did it!"
“I know, let’s tell her the fairies stole the money!   They saw the chequebook when they came for Aaron’s tooth one night!”
Sioned comes into the Deri and is told by Jim that Eileen has gone to see Cadno at the farm.
"Cancel the Penrhewl job tonight!"
She immediately rings Garry and leaves a message for him to call off the job there.

A panic-stricken Cadno takes aim . . .
Cadno has retired to the kitchen with the shotgun aimed at the door;  she watches the handle move and the door begins to open.   There is a tremendous bang and flash;  a mirror in the dresser shatters.
What has she done?"
Then she creeps forward and is aghast at what she sees.
