"At least have some breakfast!"

Anita is surprised to see Kelly come downstairs with her bags;

"I have to get away!"

she announces, “I’m leaving – I have to get away!”

Hywel will let her know if he hears anything

As she leaves, she meets Hywel outside the door; he tells her he has not heard anything from Jinx.

"Running away?"

Gwyneth asks Kelly, “Running away?” and Kelly replies that anywhere is better than Cwmderi. “I’m going to Porthcawl to look for Jinx!” and Gwyneth offers to go with her.

"Poor thing, playing happy families again!"

As Hywel continues along the street, Gaynor remarks that he looks worried; he tells her that Sheryl is going for her 20-week scan this morning.

“Poor thing, having to play happy families again,” she mocks him, but he insists that he has never been happier. “How about you?” he enquires, and she walks away.

Dani is getting stressed

When Hywel reaches the salon, Sheryl is briefing Dani on ordering procedures, and Dani is becoming flustered at the prospect of Sheryl leaving her in charge.

Gaynor checks on Ffion . . .

Gaynor calls on Ffion to check that she is coping, and Ffion puts on a brave face. Gaynor reminds her of a meeting at school this evening,

. . . who tells her all is well

and Ffion pretends she has made arrangements for Iolo to babysit.

Walking on the clifftop

Kelly and Gwyneth walk along the clifftop at Porthcawl; Gwyneth says that she thought Gemma was a friend. “You can never work someone out properly – you think you know them, but don’t really. I fell into the same trap with Gemma as I did with everyone else, and feel a real fool!”

"Join the club!"

“Join the club!” replies Kelly. Gwyneth asks why Kelly is looking for Jinx there, and Kelly tells her, “We both used to come here, and this is where I realised I loved him. I thought we’d be together for ever – stupid – but I never stopped thinking about him. I should be arranging my wedding! I’ll go back to Cwmderi for a while, because of Auntie Anita, but then – I don’t know.”

Gwyneth is scared of going somewhere new

Gwyneth suggests Kelly should leave Cwmderi as soon as possible, and says that she will stay, as she has Gwern, but actually she is scared of starting again somewhere else. “I’d have to tell people the truth about what I did; in Cwmderi everyone knows and has forgiven me – well, I thought they had.”

"You must think I'm mad!"

Kelly reflects on her conviction that she really would see Jinx there; “You must think I’m mad! He might be in a pub,” and they continue their walk.

Dani works herself into a panic

When Garry walks into the salon, Dani is trying to work out VAT on her calculator, and tells him that Sheryl will not be there when the baby arrives. “She wants me to take over while she’s on maternity leave – she’ll come back and all the clients will have left!

"Everyone knows I'm useless!"

“Everything I do turns out wrong – everyone knows I’m useless!”

She picks up her bag, exclaims, “I quit!” and walks out, leaving Garry alone,

Anita wonders where she has gone

but then Anita comes in for the massage she has booked. Garry looks rather helpless.

"Phone me back!"

Garry phones Dani and leaves a terse message; “There are customers waiting, and I don’t know what to do with them! Phone me back!”

Gwynfor has come for his "wax"

Then Gwynfor walks in and says he has an appointment. “Not for a massage, I hope!” quips Garry. However, he is dismayed when Gwynfor replies, “No, for a wax!” Garry makes a hurried exit from the salon.

"Have you seen Iolo?"

Ffion sees Gethin outside the shop, and asks if he has seen Iolo. Apparently he is with Wiliam, so Ffion is desperate for a babysitter, but Gethin offers to do it. “I know its awkward between us at the moment, but I think the world of Arwen,” he says,

Ffion accepts Gethin's offer

and Ffion gratefully agrees. “I shall expect a fridge full of chocolates and a selection of DVDs,” he jokes.

"Dani Monk, get off that sofa now!"

Garry storms into his flat, issuing the order, “Dani Monk, get off that sofa now! I’ve just been in a really embarrassing situation with Gwynfor. I’m not going back to the salon without you!” When Dani refuses to go anywhere, he continues, “You really are useless! I thought my wife had guts!”

"I can't run a business like you can"

Dani replies that she can’t run a business like he can, so Garry tells her, “You wouldn’t say that if you saw the salon – I put some brown cream on Anita, and Gwynfor is under the dryer.”

Garry smiles as Dani makes a hasty exit

Dani jumps up in alarm and rushes out, as Garry grins.

Gwyneth checks out the talent

Gwyneth remarks that the Porthcawl pub to which they have gone is “not short of talent,”

Kelly sees someone wo resembles Jinx

when Kelly suddenly sees someone who, from the back, resembles Jinx. She dashes across and grabs his arm, but of course it is not him.

She tells Gwyneth, “From now on I’m not going to make any plans,” adding, in English, “Whatever’s meant to be is meant to be.”

Gwyneth is staying in Cwmderi

Gwyneth agrees, “Just take life as it comes. I’m going to stay in Cwmderi, although seeing Gemma hurting people is torture.” Just then a man approaches them, and asks, “Do you come here often?”

Someone fancies Kelly

Gwyneth recognises him as Aled, who she had to eject from APD the other day, and he apologises for his behaviour then.

Anita complains, and Gwynfor does his own nails

When Dani returns to the salon, Anita complains that she has been waiting ages,

"You can have a free manicure and pedicure"

so Dani offers her a free manicure, and pedicure. Gwynfor wonders what he will be offered, and is not impressed with a free blow-dry,

A free service at the garage is more to Gwynfor's taste

but when Garry suggests, “A free service at the garage,” he seems happy with that.

Ffion insists that alcohol in the flat is no problem

When Ffion returns to the flat, Gethin apologises for having cans of drink there, but Ffion insists that is no problem.

In the Deri, Hywel and Sheryl are looking at the scan picture, calling it a new start for both of them.

"Its leg's in the way!"

Then Dani comes in and on seeing the picture, remarks, “I can’t see – its leg’s in the way!”

Dani is confident that she will cope

She assures Sheryl that she will be able to cope, and she is going on a book-keeping course.

“Who do you think the baby looks like?” Sheryl asks her, and Dani thinks there is a resemblance to Hywel.

Sheryl accidentall reveals the baby's gender

“Oh, he looks like his dad,” blurts out Sheryl, before realising she has revealed the sex of the child. Hywel ponders on the fact that he is a second son for both of them.

"I have a knack with children"

Gethin is glad that he could help, and says that he has a knack with children.

Thinking of Jinx again

Ffion wistfully remembers, “Fair play to Jinx, he was always there, keeping an eye.” However she she has a lot of school work to do, and Gethin goes, although she tells him to leave the three cans for the next time.

"I'm going to phone Rhys"

When Hywel suggests phoning Rhys to tell him he has a little brother on the way, Sheryl stops him; “I’m not ready to tell Wil yet – he might be jealous.” Hywel is sure that he will want to be part of it, and may even come home,

"I hope I can raise this one properly"

but she insists that Wil must stay where he is; “I hope I can raise this one properly,” she says.

Gaynor thanks Hywel for signing the papers

Gaynor comes in and thanks Hywel for moving on with the divorce.

"She means the world to me"

He replies, “I didn’t do it for you – I didn’t want more stress for Sheryl. She means the world to me, and so does the little boy she’s expecting.” Gaynor is remarkably unimpressed by this statement.

"What does your boyfriend think?"

Kelly asks Aled if he is just here for a few drinks; “That’s up to you,” he replies, “Are you escaping like everyone else? What does your boyfriend think?”

"I don't have a boyfriend!"

When she tells him she does not have one, he is surprised; “I can’t believe that!”

Is this what they call "on the rebound"?

Suddenly and without warning, Kelly violently kisses him, and he is somewhat shocked;

"Make the most of it!"

Gwyneth comments, “Looks like you’re enjoying each other’s company. You only get one life – make the most of it!” Kelly says it helps her forget about Jinx and gives her “closure”.
