In the morning, Jinx is asleep on the sofa when Ffion comes in;

she is startled to see him there, and at first tells him to get out, as she does not want him there. He insists he is not there to cause trouble, and she makes a cup of tea.

Gemma eats breakfast with Dai and Diane;

| An antique jug meets its end |
her insistence on helping to clear the tables results in a broken jug, one which was Diane’s mother’s. She tells Dai, “I don’t trust that girl! You and Gwyneth were friends the other day.”

| Dai admits Gwyneth had him fooled |
Dai admits that he fell for Gwyneth’s lies.
As Gemma listens from round the corner, Diane continues, “How do you know that Gemma is not lying to you now? There’s something not adding up in this business. I don’t want her here long – do you hear me?”

| Jinx expresses his regrets |
As Jinx tells Ffion he honestly regrets all that has happened, the buzzer sounds;

| Kelly is looking for Jinx |
Kelly is looking for Jinx, but Ffion tells her she has not seen him.

| "I didn't want things to end this way" |
“I didn’t want things to end this way,” Jinx tells her, but she points out that he started it when he took Arwen. He says he was scared of losing her, but Ffion protests, “What about me? It was all right for me to lose her?”
“I thought you were too busy with Gethin,” replies Jinx, “Everything was fine until you slept with him.” Ffion maintains that things were never “fine” and that they are both to blame.

| Mark is dismayed to see Anita there again . . . |
Anita visits Mark again, this time wanting to do some gardening,

| . . . and she refuses to be put off |
but Mark tries unsuccessfully to put her off by saying he has a migraine, then that Ricky is bringing some friends home to revise. Anita simply says she will make some sandwiches for them. “I enjoy helping – and Jinx and Kelly are driving me up the wall!” she adds,

“I like coming here for some peace.”
Diane instructs Gemma about doing some ironing,

| Dai takes Diane to task |
but Dai objects that Gwyneth has been forcing her to do the same thing.

| Gwyneth wants her job back . . . |
Then Gwyneth arrives, demanding her job back; “You don’t honestly believe her?”

| . . . but whimpering Gemma convinces them . . . |
Gemma tries to hide behind Diane and whimpers, “Please don’t make me go back!”

| . . . and Dai tells Gwyneth to go |
Dai’s mind is made up; “I knew things were not right, and I don’t have to listen to any more of this nonsense – there’s the door – get out!” Gwyneth leaves, all the while protesting that Gemma is dangerous.

| "Jinx has gone walkabout" |
Gethin is about to text Ffion when Kelly arrives, looking for Jinx; she reports that, “Jinx is a bit shaky after what’s happened and he’s gone walkabout. You’ll be sorry if he ends up back at Cysgod y Glyn.

| "Turn on the charm with Ffion!" |
“If I were you, I’d turn on the charm bigtime with Ffion if you don’t want to lose everything!” When she has gone, Gethin thinks for a moment, then grabs his coat and goes out.

| Gemma embroiders her tale still further |
Gemma continues to peddle her fantasy; “She’s been like this all the time – she seems so reasonable, but when you trust her and feel safe, she turns against you! I thought she was a friend, but now it has turned into a nightmare!”

| Diane is not entirely sure |
Dai decides to go back to work, but Diane is uncomfortable at being left alone with Gemma; “You will be back for lunch?” she asks him, but he says he is very busy, being short-staffed.

Ffion ponders that she should have let Jinx go the day they were supposed to get married, but at least they tried to make things work.

| A disappointment for Gethin |
Their conversation is interrupted by Gethin, who arrives with flowers for Ffion, and is shocked to see Jinx sitting there.

| Ffion tells him to leave |
Ffion makes it clear to him that she does not want him there; “This is nothing to do with you, please go, I don’t need you.”

| "You're better off without us!" |
When he has left, Jinx comments, “Men are a pain in the backside, aren’t they? You’re better off without us.” He remembers what Taid used to do – pack a bag and head for the mountains. “‘You realise who you are on the summit of a mountain,’ he used to say,” Jinx tells her.

| "I'm going to leave Cwmderi" |
After a moment’s thought, he announces, “I’m going to leave Cwmderi, and maybe it’s best if I never come back!” Ffion is shocked by this revelation. “It is best for everyone, especially Arwen,” Jinx tells her, “She’s supposed to be with you – I realise that now.”

When Ffion protests that he is the only father Arwen has ever known, he assures her, “She’ll be all right – you’ll make sure of that!”

When Ffion argues that they could work something out, he explains that Arwen would see them fighting over her, and concedes, “You were right – I don’t have any rights to her – I’m not her father.”

| "But I need you!" |
Ffion pleads, “But I need you! Please stay with us!” She cries when he tells her he cannot stay.

| Dai orders pie and chips at the Deri |
Gethin sits in the Deri, looking downcast; Dai comes in and orders pie and chips, to avoid going home.

| He tells Mark why he is there |
He tells Mark he is escaping from a house full of women;

| "Join the club!" |
“Join the club,” replies Mark, and is amazed to hear that Gemma has been rescued from Gwyneth, who was about to attack her.

| Gethin tells Kelly that Ffion and Jinx are "looking cosy" |
When Kelly comes in, Gethin advises her, “Don’t worry about Jinx, he’s back at Cysgod y Glyn - and they looked very cosy!” She runs out of the Deri as fast as she can.

| Blissfully ignorant, Arwen plays |
In what appears to be a peaceful domestic scene, Jinx sorts though a box of belongings while Arwen plays; Ffion pleads, “It doesn’t have to end this way,” but Jinx is insistent that it is better for everyone.

He picks up Arwen and asks Ffion, “Look after her for me. Promise me one thing – don’t ever go back on the bottle, OK?”

| "I'll never go back there!" |
She tearfully assures him, “I’ll never go back there!” Jinx asks Arwen, “Are you going to give dad a kiss?” and she does.

| A tearful parting |
“Whatever happens, she’ll always be a part of you,” Ffion says, and the three of them embrace for the last time.

| Anita makes excuses for being there |
Mark returns home to find that Anita has made the sandwiches, and asks, “Why didn’t you tell me that Jinx had moved out?” She replies that he might move back, and that Kelly is behaving oddly, but Mark suggests that it is not about them.
“I know you miss Meic,” he begins, and she quickly assures him she is not looking for a partner.
“I enjoy cooking for you and Ricky; it’s as if I have a little family again.”

Mark tries to tactfully tell her that they cannot be her family, and she hurries away, embarrassed.
Kelly arrives back at number 10 and sits down angrily on the sofa;

| Kelly is aghast at the news |
Jinx comes downstairs. “You’re a good friend,” he says, “but I’m leaving Cwmderi, for everyone’s sake – yours, Ffion’s and Arwen’s.”

| "We're meant to be together!" |
Despite her protests, he continues, “It won’t work, and you deserve better. There is someone out there for you.” In floods of tears she exclaims, “That someone is you, Jinx – that’s why I came back – we’re meant to be together!”

He opens the door, and as he leaves, telling her, “Look after yourself,” she dissolves into floods of tears.
Ffion comes out of her front door with Arwen;
