Ffion is feeling the "odd man out" here
In the café, Kelly and Jinx reminisce about what they used to get up to together, and Ffion feels very left out;  she thanks Kelly for her reference for the Adoption Agency, and leaves to have her hair done.
Jinx says the Indian Restaurant is a good idea
She suggests to Jinx that they go out for a meal later, possibly to the new Indian Restaurant.
Darren returns with some shopping and asks if there has been any news about Gabriella;  he says he cannot leave for Canada.
Meic urges Darren to go back to his family . . .
“It’s not the right thing to do,” he says, but Meic insists that he should be with his family.
. . . but is in a lot of pain . . .
Anita can see that Meic is in considerable pain,
. . . so Anita calls the Palliative Care Nurse
and rings Harri.
Gaynor’s latest obsession is to install glass partition doors between kitchen and lounge, and she is surprised by Hywel’s immediate agreement with this, despite the cost.
Hywel agrees that Gaynor can have what she wants
“If that’s what you want, you might as well have them,” he acquiesces.
"It must have been a shock, seeing Kelly here"
Ffion is having her hair done by Sheryl, who remarks on the return of Kelly to the village;  “It must be a shock, seeing her here!” Sheryl says, but Ffion replies,
"Not everyone around here has affairs!"
“She’s giving us a reference for the Adoption Agency, so don’t start stirring!   Not everyone around here has affairs.  I know what’s going on with you and Hywel, the mystery man you have been talking about.
"I saw you kissing!"
You were kissing on New Year’s Eve.”
After trying vainly to deny the accusation, Sheryl’s response is, “You should be concerned with what goes on in your family – where’s Jinx now?”
Ffion heads for a rival hairdresser's
Ffion has had enough, and despite her hair being half-done, she jumps out of the chair, collects her coat and leaves, saying, “I’ll get better service in Llanarthur!”
Darren has had bad news about Katie
Darren learns that Katie has been taken into hospital with continuing high blood pressure.   Meic tells him he now has no choice but to go home, and Katie and the baby are his first concerns.
Harri gives Meic some morphine
Then Harri Wyn arrives, and Meic tells him he is in a lot of pain, so Harri gives him morphine, telling him to take a capful when in pain.
"I don't know whether I'm coming or going!"
Meic attempts to get some sleep on the sofa as Anita tells Harri that she does not know whether she is coming or going, and Gabriella’s absence has made things worse.
Sheryl tells Kelly about Arwen not being Jinx's daughter
Kelly goes to see Sheryl, and is told about the “awkward customer,” Ffion;  “She’s not as innocent as she makes out,” says Sheryl.   When Kelly asks what she means, she continues,
Sheryl gets her own back;  "Ffion deceived him"
“Ffion deceived him into thinking he was the father, but he found out the truth.”
"You're not Arwen's father!"
Kelly marches round to Jinx’s flat, announcing, “You’re not Arwen’s father!   Has she forced you into this?   That’s an unforgivable thing to do!”
Kelly cannot understand Jinx's attitude
Jinx replies that it is old news and they have now moved on;  “I wanted to be with her, even though she’d lied, because I love Arwen.”
Jinx looks uneasy about the hug . . .
Kelly hugs him, and then attempts to kiss him, but he pushes her away, saying, “Whoa!”
. . . then pushes her away  — "Whoa!"
Kelly tells him it was a “mistake”.
As Gaynor looks forward to her expensive doors, Ffion arrives, bringing some files;  when Gaynor slips upstairs to get the brochures, Ffion asks Hywel,
"Trying to keep her happy?"
“Are you trying to keep her happy?   Making her think nothing’s wrong?
"I know all about it!"
I know all about it – you and Sheryl – I saw you kissing!”
"If you dare tell anyone . . ."
He of course tries to deny it, and then threatens Ffion, “If you dare tell anyone . . .”
Hywel cannot make up his mind what to do
Gaynor returns with the brochures, and Hywel is torn between dashing off to see Sheryl and staying to prevent Ffion telling Gaynor what has been going on.
"You shouldn't feel obliged to stay!"
Kelly tells Jinx she had a shock when she heard about Arwen, and tells him he should not feel obliged to stay with Ffion after this deception.
"I love Ffion and I belong here!"
Jinx insists, “I love Ffion and I belong here!   I think you’ve said and done enough for one day.   I think you’d better leave – I don’t have anything else to say to you.”
"What have you been telling Ffion?"
Hywel is furious with Sheryl;  “What have you been telling Ffion,” he demands, “She’s probably spilling the beans to Gaynor right now!   If you dare tell anyone else . . .”
"Anyone would think you wanted people to find out!"
Sheryl reminds him that he told Garry, but he maintains, “That was different!   Anyone would think you wanted people to find out!”   However, when Sheryl suggests that the simple answer would be to call it off, he changes his mind, becoming all conciliatory.
Just as Ffion is about to put the cat among the pigeons . . .
Meanwhile, just as Ffion is about to reveal the truth to Gaynor, the man from the door company arrives to measure up, so Ffion leaves.
Darren says goodbye to his mother . . .
Darren bids his parents a tearful farewell, assuring them he will be back in a month or two.
. . . and to his father
After he has hugged both of them, he leaves for the airport, and Meic laments,
"That's the last time I'll see him!"
“That’s the last time I’ll see him.   Kevin and Gabriella, they’ve all gone and left me.”
Cwm Delhi (formerly Scallywag)
We have our first sight of Cwm Delhi, next door to APD, where Ffion and Jinx are among the first customers.
"You did remember the 'two for one' vouchers?"
Jinx checks to make sure Ffion has the “two for one” vouchers.
Yes, Ffion's hair does look nice
He remarks that her hair looks nice, and she says she had it done in Llanarthur, as she had an argument with Sheryl.
Jinx appears astonished that Hywel is up to his old tricks
Then she tells him what the argument was about, that she had seen Sheryl and Hywel kissing. and Hywel threatened her about it.   “I’m angry that he is playing happy families with Gaynor.   I thought he had really changed this time!”
"I'm glad we understand each other
Turning to Jinx, she says, “I’m glad we understand each other!”
