A Deri Deithio taxi arrives outside the Deri; Ed has brought Gemma back to the village;

| . . . and Gemma is apprehensive |
she is not confident of a welcome, so he goes inside to inform Sioned that she is back.

| Gemma sees a familiar figure at the pillarbox . . . |
When Gemma sees Mark, emptying the pillarbox, she panics, moves into the driving seat and drives the taxi away,

| . . . and drives the taxi away |
but not before Mark sees her.

| Kelly explains to Arwen the derivation of her name . . . |
Kelly is at Jinx’s again, this time chatting to Arwen and telling her what her name means, “A magical character in ‘Lord of the Rings’, which we watched four times when it came out, didn’t we, Jinx?”

| . . . and Ffion becomes suspicious |
Ffion becomes even more uneasy about her presence; “Did you both like the name Arwen after that?” she enquires. Today they are going to interview Siôn after dropping Arwen off at nursery.

| "I woke up, and you weren't there!" |
Sioned tells Ed she wondered what was going on when she woke and he was not there. He tells her that Gemma phoned during the night as the place where she was staying had been burgled. “That’s not our problem,” says Sioned, “Where’s Andrew? He’s supposed to be looking after her.”

| "Gemma says she is better" |
Ed tells her he has gone back to the oil rigs, as Gemma says she is better, but Sioned is adamant, “You’re not bringing her here! She needs professional help, and it’s not our place to give her round the clock care!”

| "Who else would take her in?" asks Sioned, wearily |
When he says he will have to find somewhere else for her to stay, Sioned asks, “Who would take her in?”

| "She's not here, is she?" |
As they continue arguing on the way downstairs, Britt hears them, and asks, “She’s not here, is she?” and when Ed points out she is in the taxi outside, and tries to change Britt’s mind, she says, “My children could be at risk with her around!”

| "I'm sure I left a taxi just over there!" |
However, when Ed goes outside, he is bewildered to discover the taxi is missing.

| "I'm not taking you to the hospice again!" |
Debbie begs Siôn for a favour; “No, I’m not taking you to the hospice again!” he replies.

| Siôn starts work on the laptop |
She explains she needs him to help her with trying to find Gabriella, and drags him into the café, where he begins some research on the laptop.

| Jinx tells kelly, "Think before opening your mouth!" |
Kelly accuses Jinx of being like a wet weekend, and he asks, “Why did you have to bring up that business of Arwen’s name? Ffion was obviously upset. Think before opening your mouth!” he shouts.
Siôn has found a website for Welsh people in Patagonia, “Paith a’r Pethe”, who have not heard from Gabriella, and has sent e-mails to a few people, but has had no reply so far.

He advises Debbie that it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Jinx and Kelly come into the café, wanting to film Siôn talking about the chapel; he says he is too busy,

but when Jinx suggests they could talk to Megan instead, it is amazing how quickly he changes his mind.

| Mark is far from happy at seeing Gemma again |
Mark reaches home and looks stunned by what he saw;

| He finds a note from Gabriella . . . |
then he opens a jiffy bag addressed to him, which contains a book, “Pequeños Españoles” and a note from Gabriella.

| . . . and the name of a bookshop |
He looks at the bookshop label on the back and rushes off to see Debbie.

| Siôn is in full flow as Ffion arrives at the café |
Siôn is pontificating at length about the chapel, and Kelly is yawning, such is her interest, when Ffion comes in for her lunch, and Kelly goes off to do some more filming.

When Jinx joins her, Ffion asks, “Is Arwen’s name the one you two would have chosen for your child? You wouldn’t have forgotten an unusual name like that. Do you have feelings for Kelly?”
Jinx protests that they are, “Just friends,” but Ffion continues,

“Or are you living in some kind of fantasy with me? The life you would have had with her? The only time you smile is when she’s around!” Then she gets up and leaves.

Mark comes into the café and shows Debbie the book and address; Siôn discovers it is a secondhand bookshop in Canton, Cardiff, rings the bookshop’s number

and Mark asks, in English, whether they remember anything about the sale of that book.

| . . . but they cannot remember anything |
They reply that they have dozens of customers every day, so cannot assist him.

| "Gemma must not come back!" |
Britt anticipates that Sioned will support Ed, wanting to bring back Gemma, but Sioned stresses that she agrees with Britt that Gemma must not come back to the Deri; “I don’t want to be awake, worrying what she’s going to do to me or Ed,” says Sioned,

“She needs someone who can cope with her, and that’s not me!”

| Ed comes up with a story about Gemma |
When Ed comes in, he lies that Gemma has gone back to Llanelli, and Britt tells him,

The taxi is parked outside docks (probably Cardiff); when her phone rings, Gemma ignores it. Ed leaves a message for her, “I can’t believe you did that! Where are you?”

| "Come on, let's have the truth!" demands Sioned |
Then he realises that Sioned is standing behind him, listening, and explains, “While we were arguing, she ran away.” “Where?” Sioned demands, and he testily replies, “People running away don’t usually say!”

“Andrew has gone back to the oil rigs, so he is obviously concerned for her,” comments Sioned, adding, “If she turns up here, we’ll be out, too!”

| "Can I have my taxi keys?" |
When Ed and Sioned venture outside, Geraint asks for his taxi keys, so Ed fabricates a tale of the taxi breaking down, and being under repair at Llanarthur.

| "She's stolen it, hasn't she?" |
Sioned looks at him in disgust; “I can’t believe a word that comes out of your mouth! She’s stolen it, hasn’t she?”

Meanwhile, Gemma gets out of the taxi,

| . . . in fact, there is no telling what she might do! |
and looks around in a confused state.
