20 January 2015

"I'll do anything!"
When Hywel catches up with Sheryl at the salon door, he tells her, “I’ll do anything, I don’t want to lose you!”   “All right,” she replies, “Take me out tonight – pick me up at six!”
As he tells her he cannot do that as that he has a meeting of the CwmFM management board, Ffion sees them talking;
"This is a battle you can't win!"
when he walks away, she comes over to warn Sheryl, “This is a battle you can’t win!” but Sheryl replies, “That doesn’t mean I can’t have some fun!”
Angela and Diane shopping
Angela and Diane are shopping in preparation for a Girls’ Night to cheer up Anita;  they invite Ffion and Eileen, who says she will also ask Cadno.
Gaynor is cooking spaghetti . . .
As Gaynor is putting on some spaghetti,
. . . and invites Sheryl to join her
Sheryl arrives, carrying a wine bottle, and agrees to stay for the meal as Hywel is out.
Ffion does not like Kelly being there
Ffion is just going out to Angela’s when Kelly arrives to work on the film with Jinx;  Ffion is uneasy about her being there.
"A film about a wedding might be unwise"
Angela looks through her videos for a suitable film;  Ffion advises that perhaps “The Wedding Planner” might be a little insensitive.
Anita wonders whether Meic will want to see her
When Anita and Eileen arrive, they decide on “Dirty Dancing”, but Anita is not keen on the whole idea, confiding to Diane that she does not know whether Meic wants to see her at the hospice, and whether she is ready to go there.
Marian forgot to pay Angela earlier
Then Cadno arrives, with the payment for Angela’s care for Marian, and it becomes obvious that Eileen had not invited her.
Eileen feels rather sheepish
Angela is angry that Cadno was not invited, although she is so lonely up at Penrhewl.
The standard of Meic's film is not up to much
Jinx and Kelly find that Meic’s footage is not very good, and Kelly opens her wine bottle.
"No glasses in the cupboard?"
She makes disparaging comments about Ffion when she finds no glasses in the cupboard, and remarks about wine in a mug as,
"Classy, like me!"
“Classy, like me!”
"I should not have gone on about the ring so much"
Gaynor apologises to Sheryl that she made such a fuss about her new ring, just when Sheryl had been stood up by her date.   “It was so unexpected,” says Gaynor, “He thought I was having an affair – I don’t know what came over him!”
Sheryl does not think she can trust anyone again
Sheryl laments, “I don’t think I could trust anyone, and give myslf to one person – it’s too risky!” but Gaynor assures her she will meet the right man.
"Sheryl, what a nice surprise!"
Hywel arrives home early, and is not happy to see their visitor, although he exclaims, “Sheryl, what a nice surprise!”
Jinx plays some "turkey" music
Jinx suggests that Meic’s film needs a musical soundtrack, and plucks his guitar strings to accompany the turkeys.   “I forgot how daft you are!” remarks Kelly, “I still don’t know how you ended up with Ffion.
Kelly pumps him for information . . .
What happened exactly?”
. . . and Jinx tells her what happened
Jinx relates how he was drunk, that Ffion needed a father for her child, “So she jumped into bed with me and led me to believe that we’d . . . you know!   I believed her because I’m daft.”
Kelly obviously hates Ffion, and wants Jinx back
“Or because she’s scheming, manipulative and lying!” replies Kelly, but Jinx defends Ffion;  “She was doing what was best for her and Arwen – and for me, although I still think the whole thing is nuts.”
"Not hungry, Hywel?"
Sheryl does some teasing;  “Not hungry, Hywel?”   Gaynor says that he has something on every night, so Sheryl comments, “No wonder he thought you were having an affair!”   Gaynor maintains they have never been happier, then Sheryl leaves,
He is glad to see the back of Sheryl
telling Hywel, “I’m glad I caught you!”
Eileen comes to apologise . . .
Cadno is clearing up children’s toys at Penrhewl when Eileen come in apologising for not inviting her, and Cadno explains why Eileen was not welcome at the “pop-up” –
. . . and Cadno describes her as "the valley's Delia Smith"
“You think you’re the valleys Delia Smith!”
They agree to have a glass of wine
Eventually they call a truce and Cadno opens a wine bottle.
The sound, although tuneful, is discordant to Ffion
Ffion returns home to find Jinx and Kelly singing in harmony, accompanied by the guitar.
Done a lot of work, have you?” asks Ffion,
"I think this is my cue to leave"
and Kelly thinks it is her cue to go, as she does not want to leave Anita alone.   As Jinx pours the remaining wine down the sink,
"You don't have to do that!"
Ffion tells him, “You don’t have to do that – you can drink wine in your own house.”
“I’m going to bed – I’m shattered,” says Jinx.
"I could murder Ffion!"
Back home, Anita says, “I could murder a cuppa,” and Kelly adds, “And I could murder Ffion!   Do you know what she did to Jinx?   Hoodwinked him into becoming Arwen’s father!”
"Just keep your nose out!"
Anita warns her, “Whatever the story is, he’s done a good job, and he adores Ffion.   So just keep your nose out!”
"This house is going to be empty without him"
Then she looks at Meics empty chair, and begins to cry;  This house is going to be so empty without him!
Sheryl has a visitor to her flat;
Hywel is full of indignation
“What’s your game?” demands Hywel.
"You needed to be taught a lesson!"
Sheryl tells him he needed to be taught a lesson, after treating her like dirt.   She emphasises that sending her flowers will not make things right.
Hywel responds, “I can’t be at your beck and call – I’m married!”   “Yes, and there’s no room in your life for me!” says Sheryl.
He then tells her that he has arranged cover for Friday, so they can go away together, for a day at the Myrddin Hotel, with its spa and other luxuries.
Smarmy Hywel wins over vacillating Sheryl, yet again
As expected, this changes Sheryl’s mind, yet again, but she stipulates, “This is your last chance!   Cancel this, and it’s all over, understand?”
