As Jinx comes out of the café, carrying Ffion’s dinner, Kelly grabs him and he drops it.

Colin has prepared for the “pop-up restaurant” by applying liberal quantities of “Ginger and Lilies.”

Gethin opens a letter to find that the soup kitchen has been nominated for an award, worth £1,500; “That’s a lot of soup,” comments Iolo. As Gethin has to work on a statement for the next round, Colin and Iolo go to Penrhewl without him;

“Come on, ‘Mr Ginger and Lily’, we’ll be late!” says Iolo.

| "Are you still together?" |
Hywel and Gaynor are watching television, when Sheryl comes calling; as Hywel opens the door, she says, “I’ve been waiting for a text – are you still together?”

| "My date has been cancelled!" |
When Gaynor invites her in, she says she was supposed to be going on a date, but it has been cancelled.

Gaynor says, “We’ve had a tough week, and Hywel has to crawl to get back in my good books!” After Sheryl has left, Gaynor says she feels sorry for her.

At Penrhewl, the table has been prepared, and Cadno insists that the guests should have arrived by now. Marian, sitting with Jinx, remarks, “I hope they come soon – I’m starving!”

Soon Colin, Iolo and Mark arrive, and Jinx is disappointed to see that Kelly is also there, to film the proceedings for Meic’s village chronicle.

“Thank goodness I had my hair done,” says Marian, “It’s nice to go out without going anywhere!”

Ffion, expecting a quiet evening alone, is in her pyjamas when Gethin arrives, requesting assistance with writing this statement. It transpires that Ffion was the one who nominated his soup kitchen for the award.

“You deserve that award,” she says, “If everyone were as perfect as us, the world would be a better place!”

Hywel proposes that they go for a walk along the coastal path tomorrow, and perhaps stay at a B&B. His phone rings – “It’s CwmFM again!” he complains,

though in reality it is Sheryl again, complaining about the fact that he is still with Gaynor. She insists,

Gaynor will go and have a bath, but urges him to hurry back, so they can have an early night.

The meal at Penrhewl is judged to be a resounding success, and while the guests chat, Kelly tells Jinx she is sorry she “tried it on” with him, and assures him it will not happen again.

“You and Ffion are made for each other, and I’m glad you’re happy,” she says. Jinx advises her to point her camera at Colin; “You’ll get the best material from him.”
Gethin reads what Ffion has written for him; “An award of £1,500 will enable us to step into the future with confidence.”

Ffion provides a tray of nibbles, and Gethin says, “Being single, I miss sharing like this at the end of the week.”

Ffion teases him, “Don’t you do this with Colin and Iolo?” Gethin replies, “Colin would scoff the lot before you gave him a plate!” He recalls that Sheryl was the last person he went out with, and he does not fall in and out of relationships easily.
“I tend to fall for people big time – you probably know that by now!”

As Gwynfor carries three pints to his mates, Hywel comes into the Deri, where Sheryl tells him,

“I don’t want to do this any more – I don’t like being made to look a fool. You made me believe it was over between you and Gaynor.”

| Hywel admits that there was no affair |
Hywel replies that Gaynor has not been having an affair, and now that he has stirred up a hornets’ nest, he has to keep her happy. “But what about me?” demands Sheryl, “I deserve more respect than this!”

Hywel offers to take her away somewhere special, where no-one will know them, “Any time you want!” He is rather deflated when Sheryl suggests Monday, as it is usually quiet in the salon, “Or is that too early for Gaynor?”

At the farm, Iolo pronounces the meal, “Tip top!” and Marian comments, “It’s not often you get a pansy on your plate!” DJ corrects her that it was an African Violet.

Colin says, “I’ll eat anything that’s free!”

| "But this is supposed to be £20 per head!" |
Cadno is displeased; “We’re not a charity! This is £20 per head!” But it appears that DJ did not mention the charge when he invited them.
Mark cannot afford it, and Colin wants to pay by instalments, so Cadno gives in; “The horse has bolted,” she says.

Kelly wants to leave and walk home with Jinx; she promises not to grope him in the dark.

Anita interrupts Hywel’s and Sheryl’s tryst, and says that it is driving her crazy, being alone in the house. As Kelly comes in with Jinx, she tells him, “You’re going to help me with Meic’s film.”

As she passes, Anita grabs her and warns, “You’re playing with fire! I know all the signs.” Kelly simply replies, “Put a sock in it, Anita!”
When Hywel arrives home, Gaynor suggests they should have a bath together; after she has gone upstairs,

Hywel tears a page, bearing an advertisement for rings, from the magazine she was reading, then picks up a candle and joins her.

Cadno tells DJ that she has had a fantastic night, and says she hopes no head chef in London hears about him; “It would be strange here without you!”

As she looks into his eyes, he assures her he is not going anywhere.

Gethin thanks Ffion, who says, “I hope that you get what you want . . . the award, I mean!” He leans forward to kiss her, when they hear Jinx coming in.

He is wondering why he agreed to help Kelly with the film. Ffion tells him of the award, and that it would be a good item for CwmFM if Gethin won.

Jinx goes to bed, leaving Ffion a chance for a long and passionate kiss with Gethin, before he leaves.
