Gemma gives the taxi a good clean
Gemma is frantically cleaning the inside of the taxi, which is still parked where it was yesterday.   Meanwhile Ed is frying his breakfast, seemingly unperturbed by all Sioned’s questions.
Ed tries to get on with his fried breakfast . . .
“Well, is the taxi back?   How will you explain this to Meic?   What if Gemma doesn’t bring it back?   Stop eating and go to look for her!   Go and check Andrew’s house now!
. . . but in the end, he gives up, in the face of Sioned's onslaught
Don’t come back until you’ve sorted it out!”
Ffion is depressed
Jinx is thinking about what to include in the film, but Ffion is disinterested;  she comments, “I hope that Meic appreciates all the time and effort you and Kelly have put into it.”
"There's nothing going on with me and Kelly!"
Jinx responds with, “There’s nothing going on with me and Kelly – you and Arwen are the most important people to me.”   At this point, Kelly arrives again, and asks Arwen, “Are you coming filming with us today?”
"Yes!" — Arwen is keen to go off filming with them
Arwen enthusiastically answers, “Yes!” and Kelly apologises to Ffion for the business about Arwen’s name.   Ffion decides to go and work on her laptop in the café, remarking, “One’s mind is clearer when one’s out of the house.”
Sheryl is letting someone else pamper her . . .
In the salon, Sheryl tells Dani that she is going on a “Pamper Day”, on her own, and if it is successful, she will take Dani next time.
. . . and randy Hywel cannot wait
Then she receives a text, saying, “Looking forward.”
Garry is going to arrange a surprise for Dani
In the Deri, Garry tells Britt that he cannot believe his luck, and is going to Swansea to arrange a special weekend for Dani.
Gwyneth tends to take Gemma's side
Britt breaks the news that Gemma is back, and as Gwyneth approaches, tells Garry that her customers do not want to face Gemma.
"My customers come first!"
Gwyneth expresses surprise that Britt is so judgmental, insisting that everyone deserves a second chance, but Britt is adamant, “If she intends to live with Uncle Ed – this is my business and my customers come first!”
"I'm off to Cardiff to look at some cars"
Garry calls at the salon to give Dani the news that Gemma is around, but Dani asserts, “No-one can hurt me, with Mr Monk around!”   Then he leaves to go to a car auction in Cardiff, at the same time as Sheryl, and Dani looks suspicious.
"Is this the new staffroom?"
Gethin comes into the café to find Ffion working there;  “Is this the new staffroom?” he asks.   Ffion replies that it is nicer than being at home,
"Kelly's always coming over!"
“With Kelly always coming over!”   She offers to buy him lunch, but the boiler at the soup kitchen is faulty, and he has a load of washing-up to do at number 7.
"Especially as Jinx is not her father!"
Jinx, Kelly and Arwen are in the Deri;  Britt remarks to Kelly how good Jinx is with Arwen, and she replies, “Especially as he’s not her father – he’s told me everything!”
"He is her father, as far as he's concerned!
Britt sets the record straight;  “Jinx is her father, as far as he’s concerned!”
Gethin comes in and tells Britt that Kelly looks like someone who gets what they want, then cryptically comments,
"When you find the one for you . . ."
“When you find the one for you, you know straightaway.”
Ed's taxi has suddenly rematerialised . . .
Ed walks through the alley, only to find the taxi parked in the back street, having been thoroughly cleaned;
. . . but he looks very puzzled
he is perplexed.
Gwyneth has found a bargain there
In the Deri flat, Gwyneth is showing Sioned a job lot of clothes she picked up for a fiver at Cross Hands, when Ed comes back and tells Sioned he has found the taxi, and that it was all a misunderstanding.
"She's bad news for Ed and me!"
When he has gone again, Sioned reiterates that Gemma is not welcome there, which Gwyneth regards as unfair,
Gwyneth feels sorry for Gemma
reminding Sioned that they have both been in the same situation.
Dani is just going to ignore Gemma
Britt goes up to the chip shop flat to let Dani know that Gemma is back, and Dani resolves to simply ignore her.   Britt tells her, “I never thought anyone could tame Garry, but you’ve done it!
"He was all smiles when he left for Swansea"
He was all smiles this morning when he went off for some important business in Swansea.”
“Swansea?” replies Dani, puzzled.
Jinx waves to Ffion
Ffion leaves the café just as Jinx, Kelly and Arwen are heading home;  Jinx waves to her, and Ffion stops and ponders.
A very posh (and doubtless expensive) room
Sheryl and Hywel enter an opulent bedroom with four-poster bed and a vase of red roses;  she tells him, “When I want something, I go for it.”
"You're very special . . ."
Later, after their visit to the spa, they return to the room in their white dressing gowns.   Hywel tells her, “I never thought I’d feel like this again, you’re very special,”
". . . and look what I've got for you . . . "
and presents her with a silver bracelet.
". . . I appreciate you more than you realise"
Sheryl tells him that she just wants to be appreciated;  “I appreciate you more than you realise,” he replies, and they lie down on the bed.
Gethin has a big task ahead . . .
Ffion turns up at number 7,
. . . but has a very willing helper
dons an apron and assists Gethin with his piles of washing-up;  she learns that Iolo is trying to fix the boiler at the soup kitchen and Colin is also out.
Garry arrives back and tells Dani that the cars at the Cardiff auction were too expensive.
"Britt must have got it wrong"
When Dani mentions that Britt said he was going to Swansea, he replies that Britt must have been simply mistaken.
"I would tell you if I were up to anything dodgy!"
He assures her that he is not up to any dodgy business again.
Strange that they are fully clothed . . .
Gaynor phones Hywel, and he tells her he is on the way back, which does not please Sheryl, who would prefer to stay at the hotel overnight.
"I'm not going to leave Gaynor"
Hywel states plainly, “I’m not going to leave Gaynor, and you know that.   We must make it easier for ourselves.”
Sheryl, second fiddle, follows Hywel out
She dejectedly follows him out of the room.
"Gemma, where are you?"
Ed receives a phone call from Gemma, pointing out that she cleaned the taxi for him, but when he asks where she is, she ends the call.
As they take off their aprons, Ffion says she always wanted to run a café, “Home baking and good coffee.”   Gethin advises against crying over missed opportunities;
What will this lead to?
“No, you’re right,” agrees Ffion and they kiss several times, increasingly passionately.
“Are you sure?” asks Gethin;  she replies, “Come on!” and leads him up the stairs.
