In the shop, Diane asks Llinos if they sell confetti; Angela asks who is getting married.

| Diane warns Debbie not to disturb Meic |
Debbie is about to take a birthday card to Meic, but Diane warns her not to disturb him. “Hang on,” says Debbie, “Are you telling me Meic and Anita are getting married?”

Diane tells her, “He wants a private wedding, don’t spoil it – just zip it!”

| Hywel is looking forward to a bit of fun . . . |
In anticipation, Hywel carefully makes the bed in Llwyncelyn,

| . . . and thinks he can entice Sheryl into his bed |
then takes a “selfie” on his phone with the bed in the background.

| Dani is becoming disenchanted with weddings . . . |
Garry reports to Dani in the salon that the DJ for their wedding reception want to be paid in advance, in case they change their minds again.

| . . . and poor old Garry is confused |
Dani replies. “I sometimes wonder if this wedding is worth all the hassle; spending all this for a piece of paper. Perhaps we should forget it!”

| "Am I allowed an opinion?" |
“Am I allowed an opinion?” asks Garry. Dani logically replies, “If I don’t want to get married, you can’t either!” Sheryl points out that she will have changed her mind by tomorrow.

| Sheryl's remark is aimed at Hywel's marriage |
Dani goes off for a cup of coffee, and Sheryl tells Garry that even the best marriages break up, especially those which were “dodgy” at the start.

Then she receives Hywel’s text.

| Dai is instructed to cook breakfast |
Dai and Diane arrive at number 10, where Meic is still in the bath; Diane volunteers Dai to cook breakfast, while the girls to to the salon.
In the café, Debbie tells Angela that no-one wants a quiet wedding, and is planning something.

| Dai has polished off his cooked breakfast |
Dai has eaten his breakfast, and calls Meic, who appears, looking very ill.

| "Nefi wen! You look terrible!" |
“Nefi wen! You look terrible!” exclaims Dai, and Meic replies, “You’re no oil painting yourself.” He stops Dai from calling a doctor, saying, “I’m not rescheduling anything – it’s the only chance I’ll get.

“Make sure I get there!”
At the salon, Kelly gives Anita a present, a jewelled comb to go in her hair. Sheryl deduces this is not simply for Meic’s birthday, and the truth comes out,

| Dani has weddings on her mind |
as Dani watches in the background.
Then Hywel calls, as Sheryl has not replied to his message.

| "I'll answer your text in my own time!" |
“I’ll answer it in my own time, not when you click your fingers!” she tells him, “I’m not a servant– I’ll come over if I have a chance.”

| Dani reluctantly takes the photo |
They ask Dani to take a photo of the bridal party, which she does grudgingly.

| Debbie spreads the news to the whole village |
Debbie displays her makeshift banner on the front of the café, while Gwen and Gwynfor watch from inside.

| Anita heads out into the rain |
As Anita comes out of the salon, she sees it and realises the secret is out. Garry sees Dani looking at the banner from the salon window.
Meic is suffering uncontrollable coughing,

| Nurse Angela diagnoses that an ambulance is necessary |
so that Dai rushes out and summons Angela, who orders him to call an ambulance, despite Meic insisting to Anita, “I’m going to marry you, if it’s the last thing I do!”

| "Why is that Sheryl keeping me waiting for my bit of fun?" |
Hywel is impatiently waiting for Sheryl, and when she arrives tells her, “If you’re playing hard to get, you’ve succeeded!”

| Sheryl is not such a pushover as expected . . . |
She is not impressed; “You don’t answer my texts for days, then expect me to come running,” she complains. He argues that he has been busy with the rugby club;

| . . . but a bit of sweet-talking and she comes round to his way of thinking |
“I can’t spend more time with you, so we have to make the most of our time together.”

| The ambulance arrives |
An ambulance arrives with its siren blaring; Siôn enquires if everything is all right.

| "Does this look like a bridal carriage to you?" |
Exasperated, Dai replies, “Does this look like a bridal carriage to you?”

| Meic takes a last look at the village . . . |
Meic is wheeled out to the ambulance, and as the paramedics are about to raise the tail-lift, he asks them to stop for a moment,

| . . . as the locals watch . . . |
as he surveys the familiar village scene for the last time.

Then, as groups of villagers watch,

the ambulance leaves.

| Sheryl cannot wait to get into the bedroom . . . |
As Hywel and Sheryl hurry into the bedroom, he is suddenly astonished to find the bed is untidy, and not as he left it earlier.

| . . . but Hywel's demeanour suddenly changes . . . |
“Someone has been here!” he concludes. Gaynor is allegedly at a conference, and he had told her he would be away all day, so Sheryl suspects that she too is having an affair, but, “With whom?” she asks.

| . . . has a builder been using his bedroom? |
It is then that Hywel notices on the chair a toolbelt, such as might be used by a builder. As Sheryl attempts to unbutton his shirt, Hywel appears to have completely lost interest; “How could I not notice? How could I be so blind?”

| "Your attention has been elsewhere!" |
Sheryl reminds him, “Your attention has been elsewhere! Obviously things are worse between you than you thought.” She assures him that she is there for him, and leaves.

| Garry does not grasp what Dani is gabbling on about . . . |
As Garry makes a cup of coffee, Dani rushes in, breathlessly announcing, “I’ve sorted it all out with Siôn and Kelly – we can have the slot at the chapel in half an hour. I’m going to the registrar’s office to get the form –

| . . . but now it dawns on him! |
“By the way, I love you!”
As Garry puts cases into the car, Sheryl passes and asks, “Are you leaving,” to which Garry replies, “Yes!”

| Sheryl is summoned to Bethania |
Then she receives a text (not from Hywel this time) and hurries across to the café, where Debbie is taking down her banner, and being reprimanded by Kelly;

| Kelly gives it to Debbie straight – she is to blame |
“Just get this straight – Meic has not been right since you sent Gabriella away! If he doesn’t come home, it’s your fault, no-one else’s!”

| Sheryl drags Angela towards the chapel |
Sheryl grabs Angela and drags her towards Bethania. Inside are Siôn and Dani, with the registrar. Dani says, “No dress, no bouquet, but I couldn’t be happier!”

| "I saw Garry – he's leaving . . ." |
When Sheryl arrives, she advises Dani that she saw Garry preparing to leave, but then he hurries in to join them, saying, “Next time, I want a bit more notice!”

He explains to Sheryl that he is going away, “Taking Mrs Monk on honeymoon!”

| There is no news at the hospital |
Anita, Diane and Dai sit disconsolately in a hospital corridor, having heard no news about Meic.

| "You are finally Mr and Mrs Monk!" |
In Bethania, Siôn announces, “You are finally Mr and Mrs Monk,” and Dani jumps up and down, laughing wildly.

“You’re obviously happy, then!” remarks Garry and they kiss.

Dani savours the moment; “Mrs Monk – Mrs Dani Monk!”
