Gwyneth has an unwelcome surprise
A Valley Taxi arrives outside the chippy,
Dani on her way to Garry's flat
and Dani alights;  Gwyneth sees this, and hurries to the garage.   When Garry sees her, he asks, “Would you and Gwern like to go to the circus in Swansea?”
"She's back!" . . .
Gwyneth tells him, “She’s back, and went straight to the flat!”
. . . and Garry cannot get out of the garage quickly enough
Without hesitation, Garry hurries her out of the garage and closes the roller shutter.   Gwyneth asks if he expects Dani to stay, but he replies, “It’s none of your business – and don’t mention that kiss!”
Dai is glad he has such a good business partnet
Dai is racked with pain on the sofa as Jim visits, enquiring, “How’s the patient?”   Dai tells him of his terrible pain, but is lucky to have a business partner who can shoulder the added burden – the work in their lounge.
Jim does not relish knocking down that wall
“You’ve been playing with turkeys for months – it’s about time you did an honest day’s work!” says Dai.
Looks as if he needs some anaesthetic
Then he asks Diane to drive him to the Deri for, “A bit of anaesthetic!”
Garry feels rather awkward with Dani
Garry welcomes Dani home;  “I thought I’d never see you again!” he says,
"I'll do anything to sort it out!"
“I’ve missed you, I don’t know what to say.   I’m sorry, I didn’t want this to happen.   I’ll do anything to sort it out – I’ll move out for a while to give you some time.”
"I had a lot of time to think on honeymoon"
Dani replies, “There’s no need – I want to stay here – with you!   I’ve had a lot of time to think . . . on honeymoon.   It was Gethin’s fault – he’s been to blame for a lot in my life.”
Garry admits he was to blame too.   She replies, “But I can forgive you for that;  you’re no angel, but you were as disappointed as me that we didn’t get married.   We can work through this.”
Dai grumbles on, but his pain seems to have lessened
In the Deri, Dai is still moaning that Eifion caused his injury, but Colin reminds him,
Colin gets rather philosophical about life
“Everything seems so insignificant compared with the news about Meic.   We must concentrate on the fact that we’ve got our health – that arm will heal in a few weeks.”
A lovely signed photo of Robin McBryde . . .
Colin then hands him a package from Hywel, which contains a signed photo of Robin McBryde, bearing the words, “To my old friend Dai.”
. . . which Dai shows to Gwynfor
He shows it to the other customers.
Gwyneth expresses dismay at Dani's return
Gwyneth comes in and tells Sheryl that Dani is back, which rather spoils things for her and Garry.   “Things have been good between us lately – he kissed me on Christmas Day,” says Gwyneth, “One minute he loves my company, and the next he tells me to get lost.”
"He doesn't know what he wants"
Sheryl urges her to forget about him;  “He doesn’t know what he wants – he tried to kiss me too – he’s just lonely!”
"I'm lost without you!"
Garry assures Dani that he would have told her about Meic if he had known;  “I don’t want to lose you again, after the last few weeks;  I’m lost without you!”
"An elephant, because he likes dinosaurs?"
Dani produces a wooden elephant, a gift for Gwern, “As he likes dinosaurs.”
"I've spent all your money!"
Then it is her turn to apologise;  “You know that money you put into the account just before the wedding?   I’ve spent it all!”   Garry replies that there will not be any more jobs like that, but Dani tells him money like that would come in handy, and if Gethin had not got involved all would have been well.
"I'm keeping my eye on Gethin!"
Garry reassures her that he has Gethin on a short leash, and will keep an eye on him.
Newspaper cuttings about fake injuries . . .
In APD, Jim looks in a folder of estimates and finds newspaper cuttings;  “Man fakes injury for six months,” he reads to Diane (in English), “Faking it for sympathy or gain.”
. . . "He's doing this to avoid working!"
Jim concludes that Dai is faking his injury, to avoid working on the lounge at Bryntirion;  “It wouldn’t be the first time he has pretended to be ill,” he tells Diane.
"You can't go round, playing happy families!"
Gwyneth goes to confront Garry at the flat, and is told that Dani has forgiven him.   “You can’t go round playing happy families, then turn your back!” protests Gwyneth, “You don’t want Dani finding out about your antics, do you?”   Garry warns her, “Say anything, and I’ll make sure you never see Gwern again!   I was lonely and you filled a hole.   It could have been anyone.”
“Someone like Sheryl – another little secret you don’t want Dani to know about?” suggests Gwyneth.
"I don't have any interest in you!"
Garry emphasises, “Neither of you mean anything to me!   I don’t have any interest in you!   Leave Dani and me alone!”
Sheryl reminds Dani about the stolen goods
Dani is in the salon, arranging to be back at work on Monday;  Sheryl warns her off Garry, mentioning the stolen goods and dodgy gangs.
"Don't you like seeing him with someone else?"
Dani is angry;  “You like giving me advice about Garry;  don’t you like seeing him with someone else?”
Sheryl reveals what Garry did
Sheryl admits that he tried it on with her at Christmas.
Dai almost forgets his excruciating pain . . .
Dai is looking adoringly at the picture when
. . . which Diane thinks he is faking . . .
Diane marches in and asks if his conscience is troubling him.   She accuses him of playing the same game as Eifion, and tries Angela’s method;
. . . she casually tosses the picture to him . . .
she throws the picture to him, but he cannot move to catch it,
. . . but it shatters on the floor
and it smashes on the floor.
"I've been talking to Sheryl"
Dani arrives back at the flat and tells Garry she has been talking to Sheryl;  he readily admits he tried to kiss Sheryl, but contrary to his expectations, Dani does not pack her bags and go.
"I never stopped loving you"
“When Sheryl refused, I didn’t care, because I had lost what I wanted.   I never stopped loving you!”
"This must be on my terms"
Dani insists that if this relationship is going to work, it must be on her terms, and her first requirement is to go for a drink at the Deri.
Dani invites Gwyneth to the Deri
As they emerge from the flat on to the street, Gwyneth is passing, and Dani persuades her to accompany them to the Deri.

Dai explains the press cuttings
Inside, Dai is explaining that the press cuttings are connected with his investigations into Eifion’s so-called injury.
"Before long, I'll be Mrs Dani Monk!"
Dani proposes a toast;  “Raise your glasses – before long I’ll be Mrs Dani Monk, and nothing’s going to stop me this time!”
Someone looks definitely displeased
