Colin, working on his charitable activity
Colin has borrowed Iolo’s van and is collecting Christmas trees for disposal at £5 a time, to be given to the cancer charity;  he wants somewhere to store them temporarily until he can get them to the tip, and Jinx suggests the garage.
Anita removes the tree decorations
Anita is taking down the Christmas tree decorations;  Meic tells her to get Darren to help put them away in the loft, ready for next year.
Siôn discusses wedding arrangements
Then Siôn visits, to discuss details of their wedding.   Meic is perfectly happy for Siôn to officiate;  “I don’t want a fuss – only Dai and Diane as witnesses.”
Dani is aggrieved she was not offered a discount
Dani is perturbed, when she phones the florist, from the garage, that she will have to pay full price for wedding flowers;  she was expecting a discount after the last time, and realises they are short of money.
"Yes, Colin, put them over there," Dani says
Colin calls, asking to leave his trees there, and Garry refuses, but Dani overrules him;  “Yes, over there,” she says,
"Gethin can clear up all the mess"
pointing out that Gethin can clear up the mess later.   Garry advises her to let Gethin think she has forgiven him.
"I want my money back! . . ."
Eifion is eating his breakfast when Diane comes to call, informing him, “I want my money back!” and when Eifion responds that he has not got it, she continues, “You’re loaded after selling your share of Penrhewl!
". . . and if I don't get it . . ."
I want it now – every penny, and if I don’t get it, we’ll go to the police!”   Angela defuses the situation by telling Diane,
Angela intervenes
“We’ll get the money and bring it over later.”
Anita looks at the order of service
Siôn shows Meic and Anita his proposed order of service, and Anita would like Diane to read a poem.   Meic asks that Calon Lan be included, as everyone will know the words;
"I once sang that on a table in Dublin!"
he reminisces, “I once sang that on a table in Dublin!   I want it at my funeral.   It will be a change from our last wedding – I couldn’t choose the colour of my pants then!”
"Hello, what was Siôn doing in there?"
Darren sees Siôn come out of the door of Meic’s house,
Colin is totally ignored . . .
and totally ignores what Colin says to him from Iolo’s van.
. . . and as he drives away, a taxi arrives
As Colin drives away, a taxi arrives, and a young blonde gets out.
"Kelly?"
She calls up the street, “Jinx!”   He turns and realises it is Kelly;
She has had a letter
she tells him, “I’ve come to talk about this,” brandishing a letter.
"No, it wasn't about the funeral"
Darren assumes that Siôn’s visit was connected with the funeral,
Darren is pleased to hear of the forthcoming nuptials
but Meic reveal that is was about the forthcoming wedding, and Darren hugs the pair of them.
In the flat Kelly asks why Jinx did not phone her to say he needed a reference.   He did not realise they would get in contact so soon;
The letter from the adoption agency
“They want to talk to friends – and former partners,” he replies.
"You're serious about adoption, then"
She sees that he is serious about adoption, and he tells her he has never wanted anything so much.   Kelly assumes that Arwen is also adopted, but  Jinx says, “We’re Arwen’s parents – it’s a bit complicated.”
"I remember – black, one sugar!"
He remembers how Kelly likes her coffee, “Black, one sugar.”
"Look at this mess - clear it up!"
As Gethin moves the trees, Dani equips him with a brush;  “Look at this mess – clear it up!” she orders, and insists on putting a Christmas CD on the player, solely because Gethin does not like it.
"That floor won't sweep itself!"
“Chop chop!   That floor won’t sweep itself!”
"She's gorgeous, and she has your eyes!"
Kelly looks at a picture of Arwen, and remarks that she has Jinx’s eyes.
Kelly speaks of what she has been doing
She tells him that she works in Swansea, writing articles for a magazine for young people, that she has separated from Dafydd, and is now recovering from the split.
Jinx warns her about Meic
When she proposes going to see Auntie Anita, Jinx tells her the news that Meic has cancer, and that he is not going to get better.   She immediately dashes off to see him, with Jinx in pursuit.
Eifion and Angela have come up with the money . . .
At Bryntirion, Eifion and Angela deliver the money, and Diane carefully counts it.
. . . but Diane has one more condition
Then she announces that she wants that wall knocked down so they can access the kitchen.   “Dai can’t do it, and Jim is busy with the Indian Restaurant.”   Angela sees where this is leading;  “So you want him to do it?”
Eifion argues that he is not a builder, and that anyway it will cost her;  “Right then, the police it is!” is Diane’s response.   Jim will be back and forth, and Dai will be able to keep an eye on him.
"Go and fetch the tools from APD," she orders
“You can use APD’s tools – go and fetch them!” she orders;  Eifion walks out in disgust.
An unseen villager, possibly Madge, has brought a casserole for Meic and Anita;
Meic is fed up with the procession of visitors . . .
Anita says, “People don’t know what to say, so they feed us.”   Meic has had enough of people coming in all the time, but then there is another knock at the door, followed by a shout of, “Auntie Anita!”
. . . but he is very pleased to see Kelly
They realise it is Kelly, who immediately hugs Meic and complains that no-one told her the situation.
Now Eifion unsuccessfully attempts to get money out of Colin
Eifion finds Colin, with the van, and demands the repayment of Colin’s cut of the compensation, lying, “I have to pay back Dai and Diane,” but Colin has already given it to the cancer charity.   “Can’t you use the Penrhewl money?” asks Colin.
Garry has negotiated with a florist
Garry arrives back and reports to Dani that he has negotiated a good deal with a florist in Carmarthen.   Dani explains that the music is something Gethin hates, “So it is staying on!”
"Can we rearrange the wedding?"
Siôn calls and is told they want to rearrange the wedding,
"There was a lot of wastage last time!"
but says they cannot have the Deri free, as he had a lot of expense and wasted food last time.
Meic explains he is making the most of the time he has left
Meic tells Kelly that he is trying to make the most of every minute he has left, and Jinx emphasises how worried everyone is about him, saying that they do not know how they can help.   Kelly is sure that she can have some days off;  “I’ve got a lot of catching up to do,” she says.
Darren is unsettled by the phone call from Katie . . .
Darren has a phone call from Katie;  he looks concerned as he says, “You’re all right, aren’t you?   No, I have to stay here for a while – can’t you ask Caroline to come over?”
. . . but insists it is a minor problem
He tells Anita that it only a minor problem with high blood pressure, and insists that he is staying in Cwmderi, although Meic encourages him to go home to Katie.
