3 March 2015

Garry has a little job for Sioned . . .
Garry calls on Sioned early and tells her, “If you’ve got brains as well as guts, I may be able to do business with you.   I want you to steal a car, a Merc SLK.”
. . . to steal this chap's car
He shows her a photo of the owner, and knows that he is always at the Grantham Bar in Swansea at lunchtime on a Tuesday.
"I can't do that!"
Sioned protests that she cannot steal a random bloke’s car, so Garry gets up to walk away, saying,
"I'll find someone else to do it, then"
“If you want to play with the big boys, you have to think like them.   I’ll find someone else to do it.”   Of course, this forces Sioned to agree to do it.
Sheryl is taking it easy, after that scare
Sheryl tells Kelly she is rescheduling all her appointments, as Hywel wants her to take it easy after yesterday.   Hywel looks out of the window;  “Rhys should have been over here by now.”
Hywel is adamant that Rhys should come and apologise
When Sheryl suggests that it would be easier for him to go and tell Rhys the baby is all right, he replies, “No, it was his fault and he should come and apologise face to face!”
"It must be bad news, or Dad would have phoned!"
Gaynor is not at school again, as Rhys is in a panic, expecting to be charged with manslaughter, or worse;  it must be bad news as his father would have phoned if the baby was all right.
"Will you come with me?"
He is scared to go and face Hywel alone;  “Will you come with me,” he asks Gaynor.
Jinx hears about the altercation in the Deri
In the shop, Kelly, who spoke to Sheryl in the salon, tells Colin that the baby is fine, and also tells Jinx when he comes in.
"Cwmderi's biggest coward" arrives in the shop
“Speak of the devil and he appears!   Cwmderi’s biggest coward!” says Colin as Hywel comes in to get a pint of milk.
"You need a pint of arsenic!"
He tells Hywel that a pint of arsenic would be more appropriate;  “Hope you’re proud of yourself, ruining Gaynor’s life!” growls Colin.   Hywel maintains it is no different to what Colin did with Anita.
"I have nothing to say to you!"
When Kelly tells Jinx she wants to talk about last week, he is quite clear;  “I have nothing to say to you!”
Sioned prepares for her task
Sioned has donned a purple dress, and insists that she is not nervous, although Garry invites her to pull out of the arrangement if she wants.   “The Merc will be in your garage by the end of the day,” she promises, “Drop me off at the Grantham.”   Garry smirks.
Colin calls Hywel "a sly scumbag!"
As Rhys is ready to go and face his father, Colin arrives with some groceries for Gaynor, and gives them the good news that the baby, and Sheryl, are fine.   Rhys is convinced that Hywel is punishing him, and Colin describes Hywel as, “A sly scumbag, who should be taught a lesson.”
Gaynor convinces Rhys he ought to go back to University
Gaynor manages to talk Rhys into returning to University, rather than have another set-to with his father.
Jinx fills in Ffion with the latest village scandal
In the café, Jinx tells Ffion the real reason that Gaynor is not at school.
"Poor Gaynor!   Ffion knows how she feels
“Poor Gaynor, I should go and see her,” says Ffion.   Then Kelly flounces in and announces,
Is there no escape from this woman?
“Jinx, you can’t blank me for ever!” but Jinx reiterates that he has nothing to say to her, and when Ffion adds, “You heard what he said!” flounces out again.
Sioned sees the man in the photo . . .
Sioned enters the Grantham, checks the photo and identifies her victim;
. . . and loses no time in chatting up this chap, James
she joins him at the bar, sees his drink and comments, “Pinot Grigio?   You can buy me one if you like.”   Her quarry replies, “Why would I do that?” and Sioned tells him, “Buy me one and you’ll find out!”
“A woman with attitude!” he concludes.
He looks as if he is ready to leave . . .
After a while, he is going to leave, but Sioned suggests they make a night of it.
. . . but he soon has his jacket off . . .
James is reluctant as he is driving, and says his car is in the hotel car park.   Sioned thinks they may as well have a meal, and sends him off to book a table.
. . . conveniently for Sioned, who is after his keys
She takes advantage of his absence to go through his jacket pockets in search of car keys,
Garry has evidently had dealings with DI James Watkins in the past
but finds something else that leaves her rather unsettled.
Sioned checks that the coast is clear, and flees
She makes a hasty exit from the hotel.
Ffion sympathises with Gaynor
Ffion commiserates with Gaynor, having been treated by Hywel in exactly the same way;  “I thought it was the end of the world, but had to face people eventually, and felt better for it,” Ffion assures her.
Rhys will walk to the village with Gaynor
Rhys has to go to the cashpoint, and encourages Gaynor to go with him.
Kelly harangues Jinx again
At CwmFM, Jinx encounters Kelly again;  “I’m going to talk to you today if it kills me!” she insists, “I have to tell you how I feel, and then I’ll leave you alone.   We can do it here or at the house, it’s up to you!”
"You should be with me!"
At Meic’s house, Kelly begins, “You’re going to hate hearing this, but you’re with the wrong person;  you should be with me!   You were the love of my life, my first love.”
Jinx points out that he has moved on
Jinx’s answer is that does not mean they have to stay together for ever.
She still senses a bond between them . . .
She continues to harangue him, “There’s a bond between us – it’s like being 18 again!”  Jinx is becoming tired of this and tells her plainly,
. . . but Jinx has a different opinion on this
“You must get it into your head that my family comes first – they love me and I love them.   What we had was great, but Ffion and Arwen are my future!”
Kelly is not to be put off;  “So you’re just doing the right thing!   You have to be brave to be happy!”
"Stop this once and for all!" – has she got the message this time?
Angrily, Jinx tells her, “I’m really happy, not that I have to justify it to you!   Stop this once and for all!”   She insists that she really loves him;  “So just let me go, please!” he implores her, and leaves the house.
Speaking to Gaynor has made Ffion appreciate what she has
Back home, Jinx finds Ffion appreciative of what she has, after visiting Gaynor, and she resolves that she is taking him and Arwen to Cwm Delhi for dinner.
"How about this car, then?"
Sioned arrives back at the garage with a red car;  “I bet you never thought you’d see me here.   You thought I’d end up in prison, setting me up to steal a CID Inspector’s car.   But I’m cleverer than that.”
"I'll collect my cut later"
It appears that she stole another car from the hotel next door, and she hands over the keys to Garry, saying, “Can you shift it?”   Garry informs her that she will not be getting a cut of the proceeds, as it will start paying back the debt.
Rhys and Gaynor come along the street . . .
Rhys and Gaynor walk up the village street when they encounter Hywel and Sheryl, arm in arm.
. . . and Hywel is in a far from conciliatory mood
“So you’ve decided to come and see me at last!” says Hywel, but Rhys wants nothing to do with him and heads for the cashpoint.

"He's better off without you – and so am I!"
Gaynor confronts Hywel;  “Rhys doesn’t need to say anything to you, after the way you’ve behaved.   You’ve really hurt him this time.   He’s better off without you – and so am I!   Good luck, Sheryl!”
