"How about this one?"
Sheryl drags Hywel to the window of Tomos ac Ellis, where she has seen a promising house, which needs work, but has potential.
Hywel does not seem to be giving this his full attention
Hywel tries to dissuade her, as they will have a baby to look after.   “I’ll make an appointment for us to look at it,” she tells him.
Breakfast time with a stroppy teenager
Siôn comes downstairs and tells Chester, “I hope you’ve learned your lesson;  you accepted your punishment, so you can start the week with a clean slate.”   Chester moans that he has not finished his breakfast, and Siôn replies, “You won’t get anywhere by being sly.”
Another of Britt's snide remarks
Britt interrupts, “So keeping Meic’s wake from your wife isn’t sly?”
Gaynor intends to "do up" the house
Gaynor is in the shop, buying a home improvement magazine, as she has some ideas for the house.
Dai has abandoned his diet
Dai comes in for a chocolate bar, and when Gaynor comments about his diet being over, he answers, “I’m not in the mood to discuss my private life!”
"There should be a Lottery machine in every village!"
Then he complains to Colin that the Lottery terminal has been taken out of the shop;  Colin explains that Eileen said it was not paying its way.   Dai insists that it is a basic human right to be able to buy a Lottery ticket in a local shop;  “Life’s simple pleasures are all disappearing.”
Geraint is obviously enjoying that
In the café, DJ enviously watches Geraint devouring a cake, but refuses Gwen’s offer of something to eat.
DJ tells Angela of his diagnosis
Sitting with Eifion and Angela, he tells them that the doctor said he is at high risk of Type 2 Diabetes, and would rather not know.
All is going well in the shop . . .
Colin and Eileen are talking about Meic’s wake
. . . until the trouble-makers return
when the three delinquents come into the shop again;  she tells Colin she can cope with them.
Chester throws lumps of bread at Eileen . . .
Chester pulls pieces off a loaf and throws them at Eileen;
. . . then picks up a box of eggs . . .
when she remonstrates, he threatens to throw a box of eggs.
. . . Eileen screams at him . . .
She summons up her courage, confronts him and screams, “Get out!” which startles him so that he stumbles backwards and falls to the floor,
. . . and he falls to the floor
injuring his face on the way down.   “You’ve done it now!” he shouts, and the three escape.   Colin arrives from the back room, but did not see all that happened.
"I want a divorce!" says Gaynor
Hywel visits Llwyncelyn to collect the remainder of his stuff;  Gaynor is doing some painting and says she is glad he came;  “I want a divorce!”   Hywel urges her not to be hasty, but she points out, “You’re the one who was hasty!”   She is painting the table because it needed a facelift, and she was getting fed up with it;  she adds, “The rest of your stuff is upstairs.”
She enjoys winding Hywel up
As Hywel, rather deflated, goes to fetch his belongings, Gaynor smiles wryly.
"Is it that Chester again?"
Jim finds Eileen in an upset state;  “Why is the shop closed?   Is it Chester again?”   She tells him that she went for Chester, but did not touch him;  “He fell and hurt himself.”
"Good, he might learn his lesson!"
This pleases Jim;  “Good, he might learn his lesson – don’t worry, you’ve done nothing wrong.   We’ll go together and see Britt and Siôn later.”
Chester’s version of the incident is somewhat different;  “She went nuts and knocked me down – that’s how I got this,” he says, indicating his injury.
Siôn is sceptical about Chester's story
Siôn asks, “And you didn’t provoke her?   I’m not convinced by Chester’s version of events.”
Britt is furious;  “Can’t you side with your family?” and Siôn replies that it is a matter of finding out the truth.   “Chester, are you telling the truth?” Britt demands, and he immediately answers, “Yes!”
Siôn wants to leave matters there
Siôn concludes, “The Eileen he describes is not the one you and I know.   It’s best for everyone if we leave the matter there, and Chester can go back to school where he should be.”
When Siôn has left for the Deri, Chester asks, “You believe me, don’t you, Mam?” and Britt assures him that she does.
When Jim tells him what has happened, Dai is of the opinion that, “A couple of clouts would sort him out!”
"Lottery ticket — £2 please"
Then Colin appears, having been to Llanarthur, where he obtained a Lottery ticket for Dai;  “£2 please,” he says.
"You'll regret it when I win the jackpot!"
“You expect me to pay?   I didn’t choose the numbers!” is Dai’s response, so Colin tells him, “You’ll regret it when I win the jackpot.”
"I'm not sure about this divorce"
Hywel has collected the last of his things, but tells Gaynor he is not sure about this divorce.
"Oh, you'll get used to it"
Her attitude is, “You’ll get used to it – if you don’t, that’s your problem!”
He tries to convince her that she may feel differently in a few months, and she taunts him, “You think I can forgive you?   Anything’s possible, isn’t it?   Maybe you’d like me to help raise the baby?”
“Would you do that?” says an incredulous Hywel,
"What planet are you on?"
to which she snarls, “Never!   What planet are you on?   Get out of my sight!   Expect a letter from my solicitor,” and she gives her rings back to him.
DJ tells Dai he is at risk
Dai meets DJ and hears about his health scare;  DJ tells him he must also be at risk, with the amount he eats and drinks.   Dai remarks, “I’ve always seen myself as a lucky guy!”
Eileen is concerned at what is causing the behaviour
Eileen and Jim go to the Deri, where Eileen tells Siôn that what she is concerned about is why Chester is behaving in this way.   Britt interrupts, “If he is doing it!”   Eileen continues that she had the same sort of problem with Sioned;  “The reason was she was not getting enough attention from me.”
"So you're blaming us?"
Siôn states, “So you’re blaming us as parents.”   Britt tells her she should not have hit Chester – “He says you did, and his friends saw everything.”
Eileen insists that they are lying, but Jim tells her they are getting nowhere, and should go.   Siôn calls to them, “Sorry!”
"Don't apologise, Siôn!"
but Britt snarls at him, “Don’t apologise, Siôn – don’t assume Chester is to blame!”
"I'll buy half the Lottery ticket!"
Dai, having done some thinking, visits Colin who is about to eat his beans on toast, and offers him half the price of the Lottery ticket, telling Colin he can have half the winnings.   When Colin accepts the £1, Dai wants the ticket, arguing, “You chose the numbers, so I should have custody of the ticket.”
Colin takes the ticket down from the board – his beans are getting cold
Colin hands over the ticket and returns to his meal.
"I have demanded a divorce!"
Hywel arrives back at the salon with his bags, and announces to Sheryl, “I demanded that we get a divorce!”
This pleases Sheryl no end
and of course Sheryl is delighted.
"I've reported it to the police!"
Britt is in a fighting mood as she goes to Eileen’s to tell her, “I was happy to let this Chester business go, until you had the nerve to tell us we’re bad parents!   I’ve reported you to the police for hurting my son – we’ll see what they have to say!   I’m looking after my son like a good parent!”
Jim threatens a boycott of the Deri
Jim assures her, “If you’re playing dirty, we can too!   I’ll persuade everyone to boycott the Deri until you stop this nonsense!”
Britt replies, “Good luck with that.”
Sheryl is still going on about a house
In the Deri, Sheryl is telling Hywel that they need a garden;  “There’s nothing better for a small child.”
"Hywel has a nasty habit of collecting cheap things"
Gaynor comes in and remarks, “I hope you have enough space for all Hywel’s rubbish.   He has a nasty habit of collecting cheap things.
"We're buying a house together"
“We are buying a house together,” announces Sheryl, “We were only discussing divorce this afternoon – there’s no point in wasting time, when you know what you want.”
Gaynor’s reply is, “When you know what who wants?”
