who has discovered a dead crow on her table; she says that someone must have broken in, but Siôn asks,

| Hywel overdoes the "caring husband" act |
Hywel fusses over Gaynor, asking if she wants coffee, or some toast, so she decides to go to school, asking him, “Aren’t you going to kiss your wife goodbye?”

| "I really messed up!" |
Kelly runs after Jinx, ignoring his request for her to go away; “I’m sorry, I really messed up!” she tells him, but he is concerned that she go before Ffion sees her. “I really thought Ffion was having an affair!” she protests,

| "Bye, Kelly!" |
but Jinx insists, “When it comes to our family and the adoption we are taking no risks. Bye, Kelly!”

| "And you're just carrying on?" |
Gaynor goes to see Colin, who is surprised that she intends to carry on as though nothing has happened.

| "Are you sure it's over?" |
When Gaynor tells him that she wants to deal with the matter quietly, Colin comments, “Sheryl has a talent for getting her affairs on the front page of the Western Post! Are you sure it’s over between them?” He agrees to keep quiet about the matter.

| Jinx has to go back to CwmFM . . . |
As Jinx has to go to CwmFM to cover for another presenter, Ffion has an opportunity to tell Gethin, “I want you to move out – carrying on like this is impossible!”

Gethin reacts that he has nowhere to go, and thought they understood each other. Despite Ffion maintaining that they need some distance between them, he responds,

| The dead crow puts Garry off his coffee |
Sioned marches into Garry’s flat, and dumps the dead bird on his table, demanding, “Did Britt give you the key?” Garry is concerned that she has not brought the money she owes, but she is convinced that he left the crow; “Who else has an axe to grind with me?”

| "If we work together, you'll get your money quicker" |
She suggests that if they work together, he will get his money quicker, but he is reluctant: “I don’t want to work with a partner who has a psycho after them! Go and play Sherlock somewhere else.”

Gaynor walks into the salon, saying, “I hope you don’t expect us to be friends ever again! You knew exactly what you were doing, using me to get your claws into Hywel! I’ve warned you before, but you didn’t listen. Understand this – I’m his wife and the one he loves; you’re just a bit of fun – anyone would have done the trick.”

| Sheryl drops the bombshell about the baby |
Sheryl responds, “I shall have to start telling people before long, about the baby– I’m four weeks gone!” At this, Gaynor’s attitude changes; after accusing Sheryl of lying, she marches out of the salon.

| Gemma reveals the meaning of a dead crow . . . |
In the Deri, Sioned tells Gwyneth of her experience; Gemma is nearby and comments, “Isn’t there some significance to a dead crow? Bad news on the horizon, and a death of course.” Gemma advises that Sioned may want to stay with her mother while Ed is away.

Gwyneth poses the question, “I wonder if there is a connection between this and the weird letter that Diane had.”

Gemma describes it as, “A coincidence – there are a lot of sickos out there! It must be terrible, not feeling safe in your home.”

Gaynor returns home and confronts Hywel; “Congratulations! You didn’t have the guts to tell me yourself – I had to hear it from her.”

| He surely could not have thought it would stay secret |
“I was going to tell you – I thought we’d been careful – I love you, that’s all that matters!” Hywel blusters.

| "You're utterly beyond belief!" |
“You’re utterly beyond belief! You may want me today, but it will be Sheryl tomorrow! You don’t know what you want!”
“I have to keep Sheryl sweet for the baby’s sake – I want to be a good father!” insists Hywel, but Gaynor has had enough.

“I don’t want you here!”

| "Why are you still here?" |
Ffion returns home to find Gethin eating a sandwich; “Why are you still here, eating my food?” she demands, “I’ve asked you to leave!” He answers that he cannot leave, as he loves her.

“Nothing is going to happen. What more do I have to do? This is just a game to you!” says Ffion, exasperated, “If you love me, move out, please!”
Gethin reluctantly agrees; “If you want me to leave, I’ll do it, but don’t think for a moment I’m giving up on you!”

| Kelly has been rejected by Jinx |
In the Deri, Kelly is drowning her sorrows, and confides to Sheryl that she feels that she does not know anyone in the village any more. She tells Sheryl she is really brave, letting Wil go to Canada,

| "I'll make sure I'm settled with the right man!" |
and Sheryl replies, “Children need stability; before having another baby, I’ll make sure I’m settled with the right man.”

| "Come on, hand over your key! . . ." |
Hywel is wearing his coat, and has two bags slung on his shoulders; Gaynor demands his key, but he makes one last appeal to her. “Please don’t do this – I know I messed up. I love you! I’ll do anything to stay here – I won’t have anything to do with the baby if you want.”

Gaynor is unmoved; “Give me your key!” she insists. He does so, and walks slowly out of the house.

Gemma goes to visit Gwyneth; “You know that I know,” smiles Gwyneth, “You might as well admit it. I saw you let down Angela’s tyre, and the list of names in your diary.”

Gwyneth says she will not take any action, as she understands why Gemma did it.

| "Even Ed turned his back on me!" |
Gemma complains that she has no-one, as even Ed turned his back on her. Gwyneth tells her that Garry would never agree to her living under the same roof as Gwern, but she will help find her somewhere to live; “That’s what friends do, but one condition – don’t leave a horse’s head in my bed!”
Jinx arrives home and asks where Gethin is.

“He has moved out – I called in at lunchtime and he was packing,” replies Ffion, “I think he felt uncomfortable after Kelly came here. I don’t know where he has gone, but I’m glad he’s gone – we’ve got the place to ourselves again!

| "I felt it was time to leave, and Gwynfor offered me his sofa" |
In the street, Gethin tells Jinx that it was time he left,

and they pass Sioned, who is asking Gwen if she saw anyone loitering by the Deri last night.

| "She's going round, accusing everyone!" |
Garry remarks to Siôn that she is accusing everyone.

| Gaynor tells Colin all about it . . . |
Gaynor tells Colin what has happened, and he comments,

| . . . and he thinks it is probably for the best |
“If anyone can have an affair and lie so easily, the trust is gone. Maybe this is all for the best – Hywel Llywelyn has always been like that!”

| "I've done it — I've left Gaynor!" |
Laden down with his luggage, Hywel enters the salon and announces, “I’ve done it – I’ve left Gaynor!” Sheryl flings her arms around him, asking, “You are happy, aren’t you?”

“Yes, of course!” he replies, and they carry the bags upstairs.
