"No need to come to the station yet"
As two police officers leave the shop, they tell Eileen that she does not need to come to the station yet;
"You've got a cheek!"
Siôn then comes into the shop, and is treated with contempt by Eileen.   “You’ve got a cheek, coming in as if nothing has happened!   Why phone the police?”
"You know what Britt's like!"
Siôn realises this is Britt’s doing, and tries to excuse her by saying, “You know what Britt’s like!”
Eileen asks, “So you’re not worried about your pub then?   Jim is organising a boycott!”   Siôn is concerned;  “Can’t you stop him?”
"You know what Jim's like!"
but Eileen tells him, “You know what Jim’s like!”
Meic reviews his film
Meic is watching the film of himself in the Deri,
"Anita must be told today"
and Gabriella insists that Anita must be told of his plans today, so he can enjoy the party.   She also hopes the boycott will not affect the party,
Boycott?   What boycott?"
and Meic asks, “What boycott?”
"When were you going to tell me?"
At home, Siôn asks, “When were you going to tell me?   I can’t believe you called the police without talking to me.”   Britt considers it similar to him not telling her about Meic’s wake.
"I don't believe Eileen hit Chester"
“I don’t believe that Eileen hit Chester, and I don’t think you do either!” says Siôn, but Britt insists that she is simply trying to defend her son.   “Bethania’s money is the root of all our problems, as you well know,” she says, and when Siôn worries about the boycott, she adds,
"Do you think Jim can persuade them to stay away?"
“Do you really think that Jim can persuade the likes of Dai, Mal and Gwynfor to stay away?”
Siôn argues that Eileen was only trying to help yesterday, and running to the police was not the answer.
Gemma invites Gwyneth to the Deri later
In the café, Gemma invites Gwyneth to the Deri at lunchtime.
Meic gives instructions about the DVD
Meic takes his DVD to Siôn in the Deri, asking that it be played last thing on Thursday;  “There’s a surprise on there,” he says.
Siôn explains his problems
When he raises the subject of the boycott, Siôn admits that Britt is angry with him for several reasons, and is punishing him by punishing Eileen.
"Perhaps I can do something about the boycott"
Meic emphasises that Eileen was telling the truth, and advises Siôn to sort out his differences with Britt;  “Perhaps I can do something about the boycott,” he adds.
It is not a good idea to make Gemma angry
Meanwhile Gemma is waiting for Gwyneth, and is angry at her failure to show up.
"I know how bleak the Deri situation is"
Meic goes straight to Y Felin and tells Britt that he is there on behalf of the community;  “I don’t want this to lead to a boycott of the Deri, but you can stop it by withdrawing the complaint.   I know how bleak the Deri situation is, and how easy it would be for it to fold.”
"Withdraw the complaint!"
Britt realises that Siôn has told him, but he assures her that he will not say a word, if he gets what he wants – for the Deri to be the heart of the village, drawing people together.   “Withdraw the complaint to the police!”
Gemma believes that Dani is behind everything
Gemma complains to Gwyneth about the lunch date, which Gwyneth just forgot owing to pressure of work, but Gemma is convinced that Dani is behind it.   “She’ll keep doing it until she gets her way!”
"Life would be easier without her"
Gwyneth agrees that life would be easier without her, and Gemma adds, “Wouldn’t it just?”
Meic and Gabriella join Anita in the Deri;  Meic wants the speeches on Thursday to be short and true, with no silly sentimentality.
"I shouldn't worry about the boycott!"
He also tells Siôn, with a knowing look, “I shouldn’t worry about the boycott!”
"You're getting stressed out about meeting Non?"
Iolo is in the salon, telling Dani of his worries because he is meeting Wiliam’s daughter for the first time.   She tells him he should be looking forward to it,
"I shall get hurt!"
but his opinion is, “The more serious it gets, the more I shall be hurt.”   Telling him he should take the risk, she offers him a complimentary hand massage in the back room.
Gemma waits until there is no-one in the salon . . .
Gemma has been hanging around outside, and as soon as the coast is clear,
. . . looks in Dani's pockets . . .
slips in and looks in Dani’s coat pocket, then in a drawer,
. . . and finds the key in a cupboard
and finally a cupboard, where she finds the spare key to the flat.
Britt gives Eileen the good news
Britt goes to the shop and informs Eileen that the complaint has been dropped, and wants Jim to stop the boycott;  Eileen does not think Jim has actually done anything about it.
"I really wasn't criticising"
She tells Britt that she really was not criticising them as parents, but Britt snaps, “It’s not your problem now, is it?” and leaves.
Non seems to be ignoring Iolo
At number 7, Iolo is awkward with Non, who does not want to play with what he suggests;
"I can't do this – she doesn't like me"
“I can’t do this,” he tells Wiliam, it’s obvious she doesn’t like me;  I’m afraid of spoiling what we have.”
So Wiliam asks her . . .
Wiliam’s answer is to ask his daughter, “Non, do you think Iolo is nice, quite nice, or not nice at all?”
"Nice," she replies
Non unequivocally says, “Nice!” and confirms it when Iolo asks her, “Honest!”
Gemma is plotting again
Gemma is using the Deri laptop, looking at a page entitled, “Danger in the home!”   Gwyneth comes to join her,
Dani is keeping tabs on them
under the watchful eye of Dani.   Gwyneth maintains they should cool things for a while,
"I'm used to people hurting my feelings!"
and Gemma says, “I’m used to people hurting my feelings.”
"This feels like a date"
At the bar, Meic pours Anita some wine, and she remarks that it feels like a date.
"Meic has been blackmailing me"
Britt is angry with Siôn, and says that she has been blackmailed into dropping the allegation.   “Meic threatened to spill the beans about the chapel money.”
"You have an awful habit of talking sense"
However she admits that she dropped the matter because of Siôn;  “You have an awful habit of talking sense.   It’s true we’re not doing enough for the children.   We’ve been so worried about the Deri, we’ve neglected them.
How long will the marital harmony last?
Siôn concedes that Chester is going through a difficult time, but they will get through it, as a team, and he proposes a family day out to Pembrokeshire on Saturday.
Meic confirms that all the arrangements are in place
Meic checks with Gabriella that the taxi, from Valley Taxis, is booked for Thursday;  he tells her, “At the end of the speeches, I want you to slip out with my coat, come back here, put the bags into the taxi and wait for me.”
"You haven't told her, so I will have to . . ."
Gabriella reminds him he has not kept his word;  “You have not told Anita, so I shall have to!”
"No more talk of arrangements tonight"
When Anita, in her dressing gown, comes downstairs, she does not want to talk about any more arrangements, after their lovely evening, so Gabriella says nothing, but goes to bed.
They dance around the living room
Meic turns on some music and invites Anita to dance with him.   “I’m not dressed properly, and have no makeup,” she protests.
"We won't have the chance on Thursday"
“We won’t have the chance on Thursday,” Meic tells her   “No, everyone will be fighting for your attention,” she agrees.
