Gwyneth goes to the hospital and sees Dani motionless in the bed with Gethin and Garry either side of her.

Garry comes out and tells her that Dani’s heart is to be shocked under anaesthetic.

| The sight of an electrical socket scares Dani |
Dani wakes up and, upon seeing an electrical socket, begins to panic.

| "Everything I touched gave me a shock!" |
When Garry rushes back in, she says, “I was in the flat – everything I touched gave me a shock!” A nurse is called in and administers oxygen.

| Diane tries to distract Anita |
Anita is having a meal at Diane’s; Diane fancies a Caribbean holiday, and is working out how to persuade Dai to agree, but Anita is waiting for her phone to ring. “You know he arrived safely,” says Diane, but Anita adds, “And he might come back.”

| "The loft is full of rubbish!" |
Dai complains that he cannot install insulation in the loft as there is so much stuff up there, which needs clearing out; “There are enough handbags to stock a shop! I want it all cleared!”

| Gethin puts doubt into Garry's mind |
In Dani’s room, Gethin asks if Garry knows what caused the shock, and tells him that it all needs checking; “That sort of thing doesn’t often happen – by accident, anyway!”

| "I might not wake up!" |
Dani is scared by the forthcoming procedure; “I might not wake up from the anaesthetic – I might die!” she says,

| Garry provides reassurance |
and Garry reassures her that the doctors have done this dozens of time. Gethin wants to check the flat,

| "You get back to the garage!" |
but Garry tells him to go back to the garage.

| Gwyneth wants nothing to do with Gemma . . . |
Gwyneth sees Gemma in the street and tries to avoid her; Gemma whines, “I’ve sent you loads of texts – I thought we could go out.”

| "Stay away!" |
Gwyneth snarls, “That’s a good idea – we’ll go and get drunk while Dani’s life is in danger! I don’t want you to come near me again! Stay away!” and slams the door.

| Dai brings in some rolls of loft insulation |
Dai tells Diane, “That stuff’s been in the attic since the beginning of time!”

| Anita's news brings a frosty reception |
Then Anita’s phone rings; it is Darren, and when she tells him where Meic has gone, he blames her for not trying hard enough to dissuade him, and ends the call. She grabs her coat and leaves abruptly.

| Garry is told of a break-in |
Britt is visiting Dani when Garry has a phone call from Gethin, telling him that someone has broken into the flat; he tells her it is garage business, and is reluctant to leave Dani, but she insists he should go. “I’ll be here when you wake up,” he assures her, and she replies, “You’d better be!”

As Anita was so upset, Diane follows her home; Anita laments, “I miss him so much! The house is so quiet without him, and I miss his company.”
Diane attempts to console her; “He is still alive!” but Anita points out, “Yes, but on the other side of the world!”

Gwyneth is looking up “Arrhythmia” on the laptop when

| Gemma will not keep away |
Gemma hammers on the door, saying she will not go away until she is let in.

| On seeing Garry, Gwyneth lets her in |
Gwyneth opens the door, saying, “Which part of ‘Stay away’ don’t you understand?” but seeing Garry on the other side of the road, she invites Gemma in.

| "How can you act as if nothing's wrong?" |
“How can you act as if nothing’s wrong when Dani’s life is in danger?” Gwyneth asks, but Gemma rather half-heartedly apologises.

| "I don't know what came over me" |
“Sorry – I don’t know what came over me. I couldn’t bear seeing her make life difficult for you. I did it for you!”

| "You tried to kill her!" |
“You tried to kill her!” rages Gwyneth, but Gemma, casually offering her a custard slice, insists, “You have to forgive me.”
When Garry arrives home to investigate the break-in,

Gethin, who is doing some checking with his multimeter, admits there was not one, but that he had to get Garry’s attention.

| "You have to check if this is deliberate!" |
“You have to check if this was deliberate! You’ve made plenty of enemies, and this wouldn’t be the first time someone has been caught in the crossfire.”
He tells Garry that he has been in the flat before, without his knowledge, when Garry was away in China, “Or Germany as you claimed.

“I could have done anything, including tampering with the electrics.”

Britt arrives, seeing the entrance door open, and hears some of this exchange. When Gethin has gone, she asks Garry, “Don’t you think this was an accident?”

| "Shall I help you dismantle the bed?" |
Anita is changing the pillowcases on the hospital bed when Diane suggests that the bed should be dismantled and stored until the hospital collect it.

| "That bed's not going anywhere!" |
“That bed’s not going anywhere! Meic will need it when he comes back,” Anita tells her, “He won’t be happy on the other side of the world!”

| "What if the treatment doesn't work?" |
Britt makes tea for Garry, and he worries, “What if the treatment doesn’t work? I couldn’t stand losing her. No-one knows what will happen. I have to go back to her!”

| "Don't draw attention to yourself" |
Gwyneth feels that she should call the hospital, but Gemma chillingly advises, “You don’t want to show too much concern and draw attention to yourself.”

| Britt suspects something is not right |
Britt arrives to say she will pick up Gwern from school as Garry is at the hospital, and is surprised when Gwyneth raises no objection, but agrees with her.

After she has left, Gwyneth is sure that she suspects something, but again Gemma is confident;

“There’s nothing to link me with what happened to Dani – I’ve made sure of that. If someone asks, we were here all night, together. It will all be all right, if you don’t panic, but if you do people will suspect something. Remember what happened with Brandon? What would Garry think?”

Dai shows her a fishing book that Meic gave him, and asks if she would like it, and then adjourns to the shower, while Diane protests about the mess in her livingroom.

Garry is at Dani’s bedside, confirming, “It worked! Your heart is pumping normally again – they just want to monitor things.” Dani is keen to go home,

| Gethin persuades Garry to check the electrics |
but Gethin, waiting outside the door, insists that Garry make certain that the flat is safe before Dani goes back there, “Or Gwern,” he adds.
Garry agrees; “I’ll get an electrician in, someone who knows what they’re doing, if only to keep your mouth shut!”

Gethin asks, “And if someone did try to kill her?” Garry emphasises that no-one threatens his family. “If it’s true, I’ll find them!”
