Harri arrives early at number 10 and tells Anita that his previous appointment was cancelled.

He is pleased to see Meic eating his breakfast; “The illness has not got the better of me yet,” Meic tells him.

Gaynor, Hywel and Rhys are having breakfast in the café, and Gaynor tells Sheryl that the work at Llwyncelyn is finished at last. Sheryl reveals that she is going for a date tonight;

“I joined a dating website, as there are no hunks around here – apart from Rhys!” she says, and Hywel looks worried.

| "Sorry, Sioned – card declined!" |
Sioned has her card rejected by the machine in the shop.

| "You're still paying B&B for Gemma!" |
When she gets back to Ed she tells him that they cannot afford to buy food, “But you’re still paying B&B for Gemma! She’s living better than us, and not working!”

| "Oh, it's only Sioned, wanting to talk to Andrew" |
She rings Andrew’s phone again; Gemma, in the shop, takes one look and ignores the call.
Colin tells Gemma that Sioned’s card was rejected, then the text tone sounds, and Gemma reads,

“Ed and I can’t afford to pay for Gemma’s B&B. Please phone me.”

| Anita is concerned about Meic's death |
While Anita washes up, Harri has checked Meic’s blood pressure and advises that the morphine should make sure he is comfortable. Then he tells Anita that he wants to make sure she is aware of all the support that is available.

“I have to go through the appropriate steps with you for when the end comes,” he says.

Anita does not want to hear this, but Meic insists, “It’s important we talk about this now – we have to face it some time.

Harri describes the counselling and group meetings which are available, and warns Anita that she must be prepared for seeing a dead body, which is a difficult experience.

Anita has had enough, and goes upstairs to lie down.
Rhys calls at the salon for a trim, and is finding the chocolate biscuits when Hywel arrives, demanding, “What are you doing with this bloke tonight?”

Then he sees Rhys, and says he came to invite Sheryl for a drink before her date; “I’ll come as well,” comments Rhys, adding, “I hope you’ve seen a picture of him – you don’t want to meet a fat, middle-aged bloke!”
As Sioned is bemoaning the fact that they are “skint”, Gemma comes in, telling them she has had the worst day ever.
“I’m trying to change, and get people to like me again,” but Sioned advises her that Ed has something to say to her.

In the end, Sioned has to spell it out, “We can’t afford to pay your B&B any more!”

Gemma replies, “I understand – I don’t deserve your help – I don’t deserve anything! I’ll cope somehow, I’m used to looking after myself.”

Ed gives her the tip money he has collected on the taxis.
Sioned is angry with him, and wonders how much longer they will have a roof over their heads.

“There’s no chance of getting out of this hole – not with you! I’ll have to sort it out myself!”

As Rhys has his haircut, Hywel waits, on the pretext of giving him a lift home. Sheryl tells Rhys it will be £8.50, but she does not accept cards for under £10.

As he goes across the road to the cash machine, Hywel demands again, “Why are you going on this date?”

| "I deserve some extra fun!" |
Sheryl calmly replies, “Why not? You’ve got both Gaynor and me – I deserve some extra fun as well!” “You don’t even know him!” protests Hywel.

Anita is frantically cleaning up when Meic stops her.

“Look, I’m going to die, we must face that. I might need that bed sooner than expected – we can’t hide from this. It’s important that I know you are going to be all right.”

Anita breaks down in tears; “What am I going to do when I wake up one morning and you’re gone? I don’t want to think about life without you – please don’t leave me!”

when Colin arrives with the bags of shopping she could not pay for.

He sees a bracelet which is just what Lois would like for her birthday next week, and gives Sioned £10 for it.

Sioned realises that even Colin feels sorry for them, and tells Ed, “Maybe you’re happy to live on charity, but I’m not!”

Downstairs in the Deri, Gaynor is boasting about her home alterations, but Colin asks, “Doesn’t the livingroom smell when you’re cooking fish?” When Gaynor maintains that it makes the house seem bigger, he points out that she now has fewer rooms.

Sheryl is looking forward to her 8:00pm date, and Gaynor wants to hear about the mystery man. “He’s in his forties, a businessman with one grown-up child,” says Sheryl, to which Colin enquires, “What is it about businessmen? Why don’t you like honest shopworkers?” Sheryl replies that she does not know any, and goes off for her date.

Elsewhere in the Deri, Gemma is on one of her phones, booking a double room with a view, and also a massage.

“I’m paying by card. The name? Andrew Charles.”
She opens a notebook which already has the name Andrew crossed out, and does the same to the names Ed and Sioned.

Sioned is on the phone, telling someone, “Yes, the field is perfect for ten more teepees. My name is Eileen Probert, and I look forward to meeting you!” Ed comments, “It will never work!”

At 8:16pm, Sheryl sits on her bed, removing her lipstick;

a text arrives from Hywel, reading, “How’s your date going?” and she laughs.

Meic tells Anita, “You can’t wait on me hand and foot like this,” but she insists that she does not want to waste one second away from him. She wants to live each day as it comes, and invites him to sit with her on the bed.

“I don’t want to be afraid; step by step I will accept what is happening to us, but now this is enough!”
