"Hywel cancelled Gaynor to be with me!"
When Sheryl arrives at the salon, Dani asks how she got on with the rugby players;  “Hywel cancelled Gaynor to be with me,” Sheryl boasts.   When Dani suggests that she just wants a relationship with a man,
"There's something really special about Hywel!"
Sheryl replies, “I haven’t felt like this for years – there’s something really special about Hywel.   There’s nothing complicated about him!”   Dani corrects her;  “Except his wife!”
Jinx says he ought to spend more time at home
Jinx opens a letter from the adoption agency, telling Ffion that they want to talk to them again;  he thinks that not spending enough time at home will go against them, and suggests he could diversify into computer graphics.
"See what the adoption agency says first"
Ffion considers it would be better to see what the agency says, before deciding anything.
Gaynor tells Hywel that she is staying home today, and that Lois is coming to keep her company.
Garry has another job for Gethin . . .
Gethin is under a Nissan Micra when Garry tells him he is to make some enquiries about Ed’s late Auntie Muriel.
. . . as he has suspicions about Sioned
“Something is not right – you throw the money in a field at Penrhewl, and the same week Ed and Sioned buy Deri Deithio.   Find out if the story is true – check obituaries, and ask Angela and Eileen.”
Hywel wastes no time in getting to grips with Sheryl . . .
Hywel goes to the salon, and on finding Sheryl alone, locks the door and takes her into the back room.
. . . but she has some conditions
“Have you spoken to Gaynor about going away with me?   I might be happy being ‘the other woman’, but I expect more than a quick grope!”   Sheryl insists she wants an answer by the weekend.
"When are Ed and Sioned coming back?"
At the Deri, Garry asks Ows when Ed and Sioned will be back from the “funeral”, and, finding the coast is clear, orders Gethin to go upstairs to their flat, to look for evidence like sympathy cards — or preferably the money.
"Get upstairs and find some evidence!"
Garry reminds him that he owes thousands, plus last month’s rent.   This is too much for Gethin, who tells him,
"I'm moving out!"
“Stuff your rent and stuff your house!   I’m moving out!”
Soft-hearted Jinx offers him a place
When Jinx comes in and hears that Gethin is skint and homeless, he takes pity on him and agrees he could stay in the spare room, if he is desperate.
Gaynor begins winding up Sheryl . . .
Gaynor is having her hair done, and jokes about Rhys fancying Sheryl, in order to ‘wind her up’.   “He was disappointed that you were spending time with the rugby players – he has a soft spot for you.   But you’re too sensible to go out with someone young enough to be your son.”
. . . despite Lois' protests
Despite Lois urging her to stop, Gaynor asks whether Sheryl,
"Did you get your hands on a rugby player?"
“Got your hands on one of the rugby players?” and says, regretfully, that excitement for her is cuddling with Hywel on the sofa, with a DVD and a bottle of wine.
Sheryl is a bit put out by these comments
“Your child is in Canada – you can do as you like,” she adds, and Sheryl looks uncomfortable.
Jinx is going to go and see Nathan about software
As Jinx tells Ffion he is going to see Nathan, who has computer graphics software, Gethin arrives to take him up on his offer;
Gethin arrives, looking for accommodation
“Because I am desperate,” he says, much to Ffion’s dismay.    When Jinx has gone, Ffion demands that Gethin should leave;
Ffion is of the opinion he ought to go elsewhere
“You’ve got a sister, and friends, and I thought Cadno was your girlfriend!   She must have loads of spare rooms at Penrhewl.”
"I was only trying to make you jealous . . ."
Gethin maintains that he left the party with Cadno simply to make Ffion jealous,
". . . can't you trust yourself?"
and taunts her, “Can’t you trust yourself?”
Gaynor denigrates Sheryl . . .
At Llwyncelyn, Gaynor is of the opinion that Rhys can do much better than Sheryl;
"She's been round the block more times than a milk float!"
“She has been round the block more times than a milk float!”   Lois demands that if a man can sleep around, so should a woman.
"Don't you agree, Hywel?"
Gaynor comments, “You must lose some respect when you have been with half of Cwmderi!   Don’t you agree, Hywel?”
Ffion asks Gethin why he fell out with Garry;  “Have you argued with him, or was it an excuse to move in here?”   He tells her he has lost Garry a lot of money, but Ffion is adamant;
"You staying here is not going to work"
“You staying here is not going to work,” she says, before kissing him.   This is over very quickly, as Jinx is coming up the stairs, expressing enthusiasm for the software he has seen in action;
Jinx enthuses about this software
“It’s fantastic!   You can even make films with it.”
Dani is cross that Gwern will not go to bed;  “Do I have to do everything myself?” complains Garry,
Garry reveals the reason for his bad mood
and upon questioning, reveals to Dani he is angry because Gethin has cost him a lot of money.
There is nothing like being prepared
Sheryl opens a drawer and takes out a pregnancy test device;  meanwhile Hywel and Rhys are talking rugby, when Gaynor makes the announcement that she has booked for the four of them, plus Izzy, to go somewhere at Easter.
Gaynor has booked an American adventure
“Las Vegas, San Francisco and LA,” she says, “What do you think of that?”
"I shall be away in North Wales at the weekend"
Hywel interrupts, “Oh, by the way, my rugby friend, Ron, has organised a reunion at the weekend, in North Wales.”   Gaynor pretends that she does not mind.
Sheryl paces anxiously, looking at her watch, then looks at the test result;
This pregnancy test result . . .
two pink bars are displayed,
. . . appears to be just what Sheryl wanted
and she looks absolutely triumphant.
