Anita is tending to suffocate Meic again
Anita once again fusses over Meic, who insists he does not want breakfast;  “Harri says you should eat regularly,” she nags.
Gabriella's relatives want Meic to visit them . . .
Later Gabriella show him photos of some relations who live at Llanuwchllyn, at the southern end of Llyn Tegid, and who want him to visit them.
. . . but Anita will not allow that
“What?   You can’t go!” says Anita.
Kelly wonders what her ex-husband wants
Then Kelly arrives in a bad mood, as her ex-husband, Dafydd, wants to see her, and she does not know what it is about, as the divorce is already in progress.   Meic tells her to meet him at the house, and they will go out.   “Anita objects, “It’s too cold for you!”
Meic is getting tired of this
but Meic says that he can put on a coat.
Dani, showing off her extremely expensive dress . . .
Dani has bought a very expensive dress, and wants Sioned to alter it;
. . . which is strangely reminiscent of a stegosaurus
“Be careful with it – it costs more than your sewing machine,” she boasts.
"Why don't we enjoy ourselves?"
Jim has overslept and is in a hurry to get to work, but Eileen persuades him they ought to have a day off and enjoy themselves.
He cannot have her eating all that herself . . .
When she produces a bowl of popcorn, he says she cannot eat all that herself, and rings Dai to say he will not be in,
. . . so he tells Dai that he is unwell
“As I’ve been up all night!” while Eileen laughs.
"Dani doesn't deserve a dress like that"
Sioned is jealous;  “She doesn’t even know who the designer is.   You don’t deserve a dress like that unless you read Vogue, like I do.”
Sioned discovers a couple of tenners
Then she finds two £10 notes in the bag, and is very tempted to keep them.   “Do you think she knows they’re in there?” she asks Gwyneth, “Fixing hems for £5 a time – I deserve a bonus!”   Gwyneth tells her if she gets caught, Sioned will get no sympathy from her.
Jinx arrives with Arwen
As Meic, Anita and Gabriella are about to leave, Jinx arrives, asking Kelly to look after Arwen while he does an interview.
Auntie Kelly is pleased to see Arwen . . .
Kelly is only too pleased to oblige, but then Dafydd comes in.
. . . but is much less pleased to see Dafydd
After Jinx has gone, Dafydd says, “So I’ve met the famous Jinx at last!”   and tells Kelly that his girlfriend is expecting a baby.   She is furious that he said he did not want children, while she wanted to become a mother, and that is why they split up.   He informs her, “You never wanted me – one person kept coming between us, and now I’ve finally met him!   Children are not supposed to save marriages!”
Calm down, or you will frighten Arwen!
Kelly is in a state by this time, and screams at him to get out,
She ought to take Arwen's coat off
then returns to cuddle Arwen, with tears in her eyes.
"I know there is twenty pounds in here!"
Dani, in the café, is sure she had twenty pounds somewhere,
"Sorry, Debbie won't let me!"
and Gwen will not allow her to pay later, so Gethin foots the bill for her.
A blissful scene, until Jim mentions Meic
As they are eating popcorn, Jim remarks, “We should do this more often, while we have the chance.   I can’t stop thinking about poor Meic – life’s not fair!”
"Do we have to talk about this now?"
Eileen is troubled;  “Do we have to talk about this now?” she asks, and then hurries out.
"Just checking my workmanship!"
Sioned is wearing the dress, “Just checking I’ve done a good job,” she assures Gwyneth, who looks at her current job and asks, “Does that mean I have to try on Gwynfor’s trousers?”
"Can I have it back now, please?"
At this point Dani walks in and is not impressed to see Sioned in her expensive dress;  “You’ll have to stitch a lot of seams before you can afford that!   Can I have it back now, please?” says Dani.
As Sioned goes to change, Dani tells Gwyneth she should have a discount for that, but the reply is, “Not all of us have rich husbands who can afford to buy us posh dresses.”
"Crisps are nasty unhealthy things!"
Dani then tells Gwyneth that she has taken the crisps out of Gwern’s lunchbox and replaced them with an apple, despite Gwyneth’s protestations that he does not like apples.
Sioned hands back the money to Dani . . .
When Sioned returns, she hands over the £20 and tells Dani the cost of the alteration is £12.   Dani is so surprised that it is only half the price of having it done in town that she gives back the £20, adding,
. . . who pays her with it and says, "Keep the change!"
“Keep the change!”
Sioned snootily comments, after Dani has gone, “I’ll always be too good to accept charity from her!”
I thought Sioned was in desperate need of money
and puts the two notes into the charity collecting box.
Ffion sees the story of The Three Bears being enacted
Kelly is in the café, reading The Three Bears to Arwen, when Gethin comes to join them, providing the voice of father bear.   Ffion sees this touching scene as she passes, goes in and enquires where Jinx is.
"Thanks, Kelly – do come for dinner!"
Just then he comes back, and, as thanks for looking after Arwen, invites Kelly to dinner, much to Ffion’s dismay.
“I did the cooking yesterday, and need to work on my portion control,” he says, so Gethin invites himself to join them, “If there is so much food!”
Gethin is still besotted with Ffion
This does not go down well with Ffion, but he confides to her, “Just being in the same room as you makes me happy!”
"This stuff tastes like grey wormwood!"
Anita brings Meic the vitamin drink the hospital says he must have.   “It tastes like grey wormwood!” he complains, and tells Gabriella he does not know how much more of this he can take.
"You must be patient with Anita"
Gabriella urges him to be more patient with Anita;  “She wants you to be here as long as possible.”   He replies that he wants to live as much as possible while he has the chance.
Meic rids himself of the noxious liquid
As he pours away the unappetising liquid, Gabriella tells him he has to, “Meet Anita halfway.”
Eileen explains her sudden disappearance
Jim finds Eileen in the Deri, and she confesses that she has lost two husbands, although they were not married when Denzil died, and she cannot bear thinking that the same might happen to Jim.
Sioned is looking for customers for curtains
As they come into the Deri, Sioned is proposing to Gwyneth that they make matching bedclothes and curtains;  she asks Eileen if she needs any curtains, then asks the same of Dani.   Dani replies, “Will you be hanging them in your house, before handing them to me?”
"Never could resist jam and cheese sandwiches!"
Meic is tucking into a delicious jam and cheese sandwich;  Gabriella has gone to Llanuwchllyn on her own.
"Why don't we go out somewhere tonight?"
“Someone has to stay here and look after you!” he tells Anita.   “Why don’t we go out somewhere tonight, perhaps even stay the night?   I don’t want to be wrapped up in cotton wool.”
Meic is rather disappointed by Anita's response
“If that will give you a bit more time, that’s exactly what I’m going to do!” replies Anita, and he appears very disappointed.
Kelly moans about her former husband
Jinx is doing the cooking, and Kelly expresses her anger that her ex-husband has told her he is going to be a father.
"My family is nothing to do with you!"
Ffion has a quiet word with her;  “That sob story is not going to work!   I don’t want you anywhere near my family – my family is nothing to do with you!”
Kelly picks up the file, about to hide it
As she goes to turn down the volume of the music, Kelly picks up Ffion’s black file from school and surreptitiously hides it behind a cupboard.
Ffion's look of smouldering hatred
Then she compliments Jinx on his cooking, while Ffion tries to subdue her fury.
