Iolo enquires about DJ's "date"
Iolo is loading the washing machine when DJ visits;  Iolo asks how the “date” went, and DJ still insists that he and Cadno are “friends”, but does admit that she looked stunning.
"I've never even thought about Wiliam"
When asked if he has phoned Wiliam, Iolo says he has not given it any more thought, so DJ grabs his phone, rings Wiliam’s number and immediately hangs up.
"He's bound to ring back now!"
“He’s bound to ring back now!” he tells Iolo.
Iolo finds a birthday card in his jeans pocket, admitting it was his 27th birthday last Friday, but only his father and Britt remembered.
Kelly bails out Gethin to the tune of 30p
In the café, Gethin is 30p short as he pays Gwen, but Kelly supplies the shortfall.
As they chat . . .
As Gethin and Kelly chat, Jinx and Ffion come in,
. . . Jinx thinks there is something going on
Jinx remarking, “Those two look close these days,” but Ffion says she has not noticed.   As Kelly compliments Jinx on his CwmFM programme, Ffion leaves.
Meic wears his old leather jacket
Meic finds an old leather jacket which still fits, and Anita comments that he looks like, “A man going through a midlife crisis,” but he is determined to wear it.
They look at Amanda's cruise photos
Anita is looking on her iPad at photos Amanda has sent of her cruise, and Meic tells her they could go on one, as they can afford it.
"Ooh, I like your jacket!"
Meic is just going out as Ffion arrives to see Anita;  what she wants to know is whether Kelly intends to stay.   Anita’s reply, “She’s certainly in no rush to leave,”
Ffion is not going to be rid of Kelly any time soon
leaves Ffion very disappointed.
What is this "hiding money in cereal packets" thing in Cwmderi?
Sioned removes some of the bundles of notes from a vase on the shelf, and puts them into a cereal packet.   “Afraid they’ll come looking?” asks Ed, and adds,
"You can give money to the police anonymously"
“You can give money to the police anonymously – just ring this number, and tell them where you have hidden it.   Whoever owns it suspects Cadno, or they wouldn’t have broken in.
For just a moment, Sioned wonders if she should
What if they hurt the children?   Could you forgive yourself?”
They plan a party for Iolo
As Jinx and Gethin leave the café, DJ tells them about Iolo’s birthday, and they agree to plan a party this Friday.   Then Jinx invites Gethin to the Deri for a pint, at 7:00pm.
"If you still want Deri Deithio, you can have it"
Sioned is putting jacket potatoes in the oven when Meic comes in and announces that he is willing to sell Deri Deithio for £10,000;  Sioned jumps at the chance (and still has enough left to pay for it).
“We can do the deal today,” she enthuses, and Meic says that her father would be delighted.
"We're going out to the Deri"
Ffion arrives home to be told that they are going to the Deri in fifteen minutes, as Jinx is arranging to get Kelly and Gethin together;  “We need to help her move on,” he insists,
Ffion is not very keen
and, reluctantly, Ffion trudges off to get changed.
Gwynfor and Mal are witnesses for this transaction
Meic has found two witnesses for the legal document, Gwynfor and Mal, who will do it for the price of a pint.   After the formalities, Meic says, “I wish that everything were that simple,” and asks Sioned how she can afford it.   “Ed’s Auntie Muriel has died and left him some money,” is her answer.
“She’d be glad you’re spending it so wisely,” Meic tells her,
They start researching cruises
and mentions that he is going on a cruise with Anita, so Sioned helps him look for one online.
DJ puts the lasagne in the oven
DJ takes a lasagne round to Iolo, who is in a much more cheery mood as Wiliam rang back and they have arranged a date for Friday.   As this clashes with the proposed party, DJ attempts to dissuade Iolo;
DJ wants Iolo to postpone the date
“It doesn’t give you much time to decide what to wear.”
Iolo flies off the handle a bit
Iolo accuses him of a stereotypical attitude:  “Next you’ll be saying that I need to get my hair and makeup done by Sheryl!” but he admits he is excited.
This is why Gethin's mind is not on the party
In the Deri, Jinx is trying to organise the party, but Gethin, who has had five calls from Garry, is preoccupied.   “I’ve booked a stripper for Iolo’s party, perhaps Dai, or maybe Jim!” he says, but Gethin simply mumbles, “Great!”
A rather clumsy attempt at setting up a date
As soon as Kelly arrives and is seated next to Gethin, Jinx pretends that he has a text from Elinor, the baby-sitter, telling him that Arwen is not well, so he and Ffion leave.
"Not that they made it at all obvious!"
Gethin remarks, “Right, I think we’re on a date!”   “Not that they made it at all obvious!” comments Kelly.
"I'm going home on my own tonight"
After some banter, Kelly tells him, “I’m going home tonight on my own, OK?”
At home, Jinx reports that Arwen has no interest in sleeping, and makes a drink for her.
Gethin makes it clear that Jinx's plan changes nothing
Ffion hopes that Gethin and Kelly are not angry at being set up, and then receives a text from Gethin;  “Home from the date - I wasn’t interested.”
“Fancy a date with me and Arwen in bed, watching Fireman Sam?” asks Jinx,
"Sounds perfect!"
and Ffion replies, rather insincerely, “Sounds perfect!”
"You didn't discuss it with me! . . ."
Ed is furious when he is told that Sioned is now the boss of Deri Deithio;  “Without any discussion again!” he rages,
". . . It's not your money!"
but she replies it is not his money.   “He replies,
"You can't steal £17,000 without getting found out!"
“Or yours!   You can’t steal £17,000 without getting found out!”
"Of course you can – I've just done it!"
“Of course you can!   I’ve just done it!   The money’s gone now – no-one can prove anything!”
Anita shows her distaste for Sioned and her underhand methods . . .
Meic arrives home and announces the sale to Anita, who immediately objects.   “Are you serious?   I can’t believe how low she’ll go to get what she wants!   She’s taking advantage – have you signed anything?”
. . . then pours cold water over the cruise plans . . .
She is no more encouraging when he announces they will go for a cruise together, and says she will be seasick, or cannot get the time off from CwmFM.
"Is it that I'm spending their inheritance?"
When Meic suspects she objects to his spending the children’s and grand-children’s inheritance, she admits, “I’m scared of taking you!”
“What if I die, you mean!   I just wanted us to do something together,” Meic pleads.
"We can do that here"
“But we can do that here, and you’ll get the best care,” she replies.

Meic has had enough, and gives in
Meic gives up;  “All right!   You were right about this coat – I won’t wear it again.”   Disconsolately, he sits down on the sofa.
