Anita tells him that she is trying to keep him strong and healthy so that he is here longer.
![]() |
| "I want to live before I have to go!" |
“By keeping me in the house, drinking tea and eating sandwiches? I don’t want that – I want to live before I have to go! I want us to laugh about the silly things I do – and I certainly don’t want to lie in that bed, with you standing beside me, crying all the time! I want to create new memories; if we can’t do that, this set-up is not working – one of us will have to move out.”

Colin cannot believe that Gaynor has not told Hywel she knows about the affair, but she insists she is not going to “play the hysterical wife”. “By keeping quiet, I’ll put the responsibility on Hywel’s shoulders, I’ll give him as much rope as he wants.
