Colin samples the freshly-baked food
At Penrhewl, DJ is cooking food for the party, which Colin is sampling, and has arranged for Wiliam to help Gethin prepare;  DJ will create a plumbing crisis which will get Iolo there, so that he will be late for his date.   Cadno tells them that half the village will be going to Angela’s Healthy Eating Class tonight;
Colin thinks it might be interesting
Colin thinks that might be a good night out, and rings Mark.
Kelly is not impressed by Jinx's matchmaking
Kelly tells Jinx that his attempt to set her up with Gethin could not have been more obvious;  “Are you sure you’re not trying to force me to take interest in someone else?”, she asks him.   Although he denies it, she continues,
"You're with Ffion – I get it!"
“You’re with Ffion – I get it, but it doesn’t mean that I shall be heartbroken over you!”   She wants him to help with photos for an article she is writing, on getting teenagers to take up sport.
"Jinx, get a present for Iolo!"
Ffion comes out of Cysgod y Glyn, on her way to a meeting, and asks Jinx to get a present for Iolo.
"Looking forward to all those rugby players?"
Hywel remarks to Sheryl in the cafĂ©, “Looking forward to the party with all the rugby players?   Don’t go!   Come to bed with me!” and he says he is going to cancel the meeting with his friends.
"If I don't hear from you, I'll go to Cardiff"
Sheryl tells him, “If I don’t hear from you by 4:00pm, I’ll go to Cardiff.”
Iolo reluctantly agrees to go to Penrhewl
Meanwhile Iolo has the phone call, summoning him to a plumbing emergency at Penrhewl, as arranged by DJ.
Quite a good turnout for the first Healthy Eating Class
At the Healthy Eating Class,
Angela and her decidedly plump former self
Angela has displayed a cut-out figure of herself at 15 stone,
Dai is rather sceptical
and Dai is curious why thin people want to lose weight.
Janice and Colette being chatted up by Colin
Colin sees a couple of plump strangers – from Llanarthur – who introduce themselves as Colette and Janice.
Mark is doubtful about "Quiniona and Dodgy Berries"
Colin goes on at length about how he and Mark are health food freaks, with “Quiniona and Dodgy Berries” featuring in their diet.   Then Colin invites them to the party afterwards, telling them there will be loads of organic food there.
Hywel, about to be doubled up with excruciating pain
As Gaynor prepares to go to this evening with the boring Hubert and Lilian, Hywel is suddenly, and theatrically, gripped by stomach pains, so severe that he has to run upstairs to the bathroom.
"Looks like I'm going by myself"
Thus, Gaynor has to go alone,
"Don't kiss me – I don't want your bug!"
and as soon as Hywel has closed the door, he receives a text.
Sheryl is rather eager
Then immediately there is a knock at the door, and Sheryl rushes in;  she drops her coat and handbag at the foot of the stairs and without delay they both hurry up to the bedroom.
Message from Gaynor which Hywel does not receive
Soon Hywels phone, left in the lounge, rings, but of course it goes unanswered.
"Hang on a couple of minutes, while I have a shower"
Iolo has sorted out DJ’s fabricated problem under the sink at Penrhewl, and is eager to get to his date with Wiliam, but DJ wants a lift into the village and delays him further.
Janice and Colette, putting away a lot of food
Colin and Mark see their lady friends stuffing large quantities of sausage rolls and other food;  he tells Mark that is a good sign – “No self-discipline, and not too fussy!”
Iolo is taken by surprise as he enters number 7 . . .
When Iolo comes in, with DJ, he is shocked to see all his friends there,
. . . but very pleased to see Wiliam
and even more so when Wiliam comes in, bearing his birthday cake, to an accompaniment of “Happy (belated) birthday to you!   Wiliam asks if he is forgiven for going behind Iolo’s back;
"There's nothing to forgive"
“There’s nothing to forgive,” replies Iolo, “I’m glad you went to such trouble!”
"Let's make a day of it in Swansea tomorrow!"
Jinx apologises to Ffion that, with all the photography, he forgot to get the present, but Ffion is remarkably unperturbed and says, “Another day wont matter!   We can get it tomorrow, and make a day of it in Swansea!”   Hearing this, Kelly looks rather put out.
Discarded clothes and bag on the floor . . .
As Lilian is also ill, Gaynor returns home early, and upon entering the house finds the discarded coat and bag in the hall;
. . . and picture of Sheryl in the bag
looking in the bag, she finds a photo of Sheryl and Wil.
"I can imagine what's going on up there!"
She looks upstairs, hesitates, then retreats out of the door, looking stunned.
Looks as if Gethin is moving on . . .
At the party, Cadno tells Gethin she will not be a lot of good to the sheep in the morning;  “I don’t go out much,” she says.
. . . wanting to take Cadno to the Deri . . .
“We should do something about that,” replies Gethin, and wants to take her on to the Deri.
. . . which DJ finds particularly dispiriting
When she tells DJ, he is very disappointed, but puts on a brave face.
Hywel helps Sheryl on with her coat
After their cavorting in the bedroom, Sheryl and Hywel come downstairs, with Sheryl complaining how quickly the time has gone.   She wants them to go away somewhere together;
"Ooh-er!   Gaynor's on her way home!"
Hywel then discovers the message on his phone that Gaynor is coming home, so he shunts Sheryl out of the back door as rapidly as possible.   She scampers away through the darkness.
"Actually, we fancy more chunky men!"
Colin asks the two girls, who have said they are going on to a club in Carmarthen, if they want some company.   “Not yours,” is the reply. “We don’t actually fancy thin men, especially with health fads.”   “We went to the Health Club hoping to meet more ‘chunky’ men,” says Colette, looking pointedly at DJ.
When Gaynor returns home again, Hywel says that he is recovering;  “I’m all right, I guess,” he tells her.
Hywel gets exceedingly worried
“You’re not lying, are you?   It wouldn’t be the first time!” she demands,  but he is mightily relieved to hear she is referring to the Gastritis that he tried to hide several months ago.
Gaynor resolves to have an early night, as she “Feels a bit sick!”
