29 October 2015 (1st episode)

"I was just going to do that"
As Cadno clears the table, DJ tells her he was going to do that, but she insists,
"What can I get you for lunch?"
also asking what he wants for lunch.
"I'm going to plead guilty tomorrow!"
“Stop it, stop grovelling,” he says, “I know what you’re doing, and there’s no need – I’m going to plead guilty tomorrow!”
Eifion is in a drunken stupor
Angela finds Eifion with a hangover, dozing on the sofa, and rudely wakes him;
"Where were you last night?"
“Where were you last night?   I sent five texts, and you didn’t answer.”
He replies, “We went out after rugby and stayed out!   I was enjoying myself, while I’m still young.”
"Boozing, you mean!"
Angela takes this to mean he was boozing, and protests that she waited up for hours.
As he searches for some painkillers, she advises him that they are going to Y Glyndwr to discuss the wedding.
Sheryl is hard at work
Sheryl is mopping the kitchen floor, and Hywel insists that he should be doing that;
"The doctor said rest and relax!"
“Remember what the doctor said – rest and relax!”
She is adamant that the housework has to be done;  “I haven’t changed my mind.   I know it’s difficult, but I know best.”
"You know what you can do!"
Hywel begs to differ, but she answers, “If you’re not happy about it, you know what you can do!   If you can’t cope with my illness, maybe that’s best.”
"A bit fragile this morning?"
As Angela and Eifion leave the house, Sioned sees them;  “A bit fragile this morning?” she asks Eifion, adding,
"What was her name?   Denise?"
“I heard from Ed about your antics with a ‘cougar’ – what was her name?   Denise?   Apparently you were all over each other!”
Angela is furious and struts off across the road, with Eifion chasing after her;
"You're making a fool of me!"
“You’re making a fool of me!” she snarls,
"Nothing happened!"
but Eifion assures her that nothing happened.
"Any plans for tonight?"
DJ visits Gemma, who is experimenting with some jewellery;  “Do you have any plans for tonight?” he enquires, and invites her for a meal at the farm.
"Come over for a meal at the farm"
“Come and keep me company on my last day of freedom.   Cadno is at a Young Farmers’ meeting – otherwise I’d take you out.”
“Cadno’s a cheeky madam!” says Gemma, “Leaving you on your own, after all you’ve done for her!” but DJ points out that he will not be on his own.
Hywel wants a short-notice wedding
At the bar of the Deri, Hywel asks Siôn, “I want you to officiate for a wedding at Bethania next week if possible.”
"This is a bit sudden!"
When Siôn remarks that this is a bit sudden, Hywel continues, “She wants assurances – she’s worried that the operation will kill her and leave Meilyr motherless, although there is a greater risk if not having the operation.
"I'll do anything to persuade her to have the operation!"
I’ll do anything to persuade her to have it!”
“That’s not the reason people get married,” insists Siôn,
"Go and talk to Sheryl"
“You should do it because you love her.   Go and talk to Sheryl.”
Angela tells her troubles to Debbie
At the café, Angela wails to Debbie, “It’s bad enough he was out all night, but with another woman!”   Debbie replies that she heard the woman was over sixty and did not have her own teeth;
"Show him you can enjoy yourself too"
she suggests that Angela should have a booze-up to show Eifion she can enjoy herself, too.
Gaynor visits Llwyncelyn . . .
Gaynor arrives at Llwyncelyn, ostensibly to collect her mail,
. . . and wants to pick up Meilyr . . .
and upon seeing Meilyr, wants to pick him up.
. . . which does not go down well with Sheryl . . .
Sheryl then comes in and is perturbed to see her baby with Gaynor;
. . . who soon gets her baby back
she soon retrieves him, and Gaynor leaves hurriedly.
The curry is almost ready to serve
Gemma arrives at the farm to find the Rogan Josh curry simmering on the Aga;
"I don't want you to go to prison"
she tells DJ that she does not want him to go to prison, but he insists that he must be realistic.
Thwarted by a saucepan
She is about to kiss him as the saucepan boils over, and he has to attend to it.
"Do I look tarty in this?"
Debbie has ordered a taxi and waits in the Deri for Angela, who enquires, “Do I look tarty in this?”
“Classy, more like,” replies Debbie, “I’m surprised Eifion didn’t want you for himself!”   Sioned passes them and asks if Eifion is still in the doghouse.
"That Sioned is going on an expensive holiday!"
When she has gone, Debbie reveals that Sioned is going for an expensive holiday in Greece;  “The taxis must be going well!”   Angela, with a face like thunder, suspects that the money comes from Eifion’s investment.
As she leaves to inform Eifion, she tells Debbie, “Cancel the taxi!”
"Ssh! –  I'm watching this!"
Eifion has a can in his hand and is watching TV when she comes in;  she tries to speak, but he silences her, as he is trying to watch something.
Angela has had nearly enough . . .
Angela then decides that she will not tell him,
. . . amd gets herself a drink
and goes to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of wine.
"Could I stay the night?"
Gemma suggests, “I was wondering – could I stay the night?”
"That's not a good idea"
DJ thinks this is not a good idea as he has to have a clear head for tomorrow.   She tells him,
"Why not change your plea?"
“I admire what you are doing, but you don’t have to do it!   If you have feelings for me, why not change your plea to be with me?”
"Cadno doesn't know how lucky she is"
DJ makes it clear that this is something he must do;  Gemma tells him Cadno does not know how lucky she is, and kisses him.
"I was talking to Siôn"
As they eat, Hywel mentions he has been talking to Siôn about the importance of the family;  “We should consider what really matters.”
"What's important to you?"
Sheryl asks him what is important to him, and he tells her, “Family is the only thing worth fighting for.”
"You and your ex-wife playing happy families"
Sheryl answers, “Which family are we talking about?   Me and Meilyr?  Rhys?   Gaynor?   What am I supposed to think, seeing you and your ex-wife playing happy families?   I’m not going to let her take away the only certainty in my life.   I’ve fought too hard to give up now!”
“When are you going to realise this is not a competition?” demands Hywel.
Hywel is amazed at her sudden change of mind
Surprisingly, Sheryl has had a change of mind, and responds, “There is no competition – I’m having the operation!   You, me and Meilyr are sticking together from now on.   We’re going to register Meilyr, and then when I’m well enough, I want him to be christened, OK?”
Cadno returns to Penrhewl and DJ reports the children have not made a sound;  seeing the remains of the curry, Cadno asks, “What happened to the dinner for one?”
"Gemma came over"
DJ tells her that Gemma came over.
"She's been in a psychiatric unit!"
“You didn’t leave her alone with the children, did you?” she demands, “She can’t be trusted – she’s been in a psychiatric unit!”   She rushes upstairs to check on the boys.
"I didn't tell Eifion"
Angela goes round to Debbie’s flat, and confesses that she did not tell Eifion.   Debbie stresses that Angela knew what he was like when she agreed to marry him;
"Men never change"
“I’ve learned over the years that men never change, however much I might try,” she laments.
“It was the same with Ed – and Jim,” admits Angela, “Things were never quite right.”   Debbie advises that they have to accept each other, or . . .
Split up!"
Angela completes her sentence;  “Split up!”
Cadno discovers that the boys are fine, and DJ explains that Gemma’s recovery is progressing well, but this is irrelevant to her.
"Anyone with a bit of common sense . . ."
“Anyone with a bit of common sense wouldn’t leave children with her.”
"You're a fine one to talk!"
“You’re a fine one to talk,” says DJ, “You fired a shotgun at Eileen while the boys slept upstairs!   You were wrong then, and you’re wrong now!”
"I don't want her near the house again!"
Cadno is again losing her temper;  “I don’t want her anywhere near the house ever again!”
DJ tells her, “If you can’t respect Gemma, I don’t know why I should respect you!   I could tell the truth in court tomorrow!”
"You could be charged with perverting the course of justice"
Cadno points out he could be charged with perverting the course of justice, but he replies, “It’s a shorter sentence!”
She suddenly comes to the realisation that DJ could land her in serious trouble, and pleads, “Please, DJ!”
"It's a bit late to start grovelling!"
He replies that it is rather late for her to start grovelling.
