At Llwyncelyn, Hywel asks Siôn if he can hold the service in the chapel;

“We have no idea about a date yet, I should know when Sheryl will come out of hospital when I see her this afternoon. I’m going to tell her about Meilyr on Monday – the doctors are happy with that.”

| Gaynor is making herself at home (and it is her home) |
Gaynor comes in with the washing basket, and Siôn is surprised to see her; she says that Hywel needs some company, and tells him, “The counsellor has a slot tomorrow, so I’ve put your name down.”

Hywel explodes, “It’s only been a few days since my son died! What can a counsellor do to change that?”

| Siôn thinks it opportune to go |
Siôn thinks it an opportune moment to leave, and Hywel tells Gaynor, “You can go too! I’ll go to hospital on my own!”

| "Sheryl should have been told!" |
In the salon, Dani tells Ffion that Sheryl should have been told; “It’s not right that we know and she doesn’t.”

Ffion enquires if she knows when Gethin will be back, and she answers that he is expected sometime next week (as Pudsey Bear can be seen loitering outside the café.)
When Ffion remarks that it was generous of Garry to give him the time off,

Dani reveals, “He was sacked – while he was taking care of you. But never mind – you needed help.”

| "Do you know of any attractive women?" |
Vicky has been doing her nails, when Dani receives a text and asks, “Do you know of any attractive women living around here? My friend is starting an Escort business – she already has one, but is looking for others.”

| Vicky jumps at the chance |
Immediately Vicky replies, “I’ll do it – depending on how much it pays,” adding, “It’s obvious you’re behind this!”
Dol comes in with the pram, and inevitably asks Vicky,

| Mark catches her on the scrounge again |
“You couldn’t lend me a fiver, could you? I forgot my purse.” Mark has followed her in and demands which of them left the front door open at Maes-y-Deri.

| Dani wants them out |
As they argue among themselves, Dani raises her voice; “Hello! This is a hairdresser’s, not a community centre!” and orders them out.

| Siôn offers his old television |
When Mark delivers to the Deri, Siôn offers him their old television, to replace the one the “bailiffs” removed, and says he will bring it over tonight.

Chester is sitting there, and tells Siôn that he has been to the doctor’s,

| It is beneath Sioned to clean the Bentley . . . |
so when Ed informs Sioned that the Bentley needs cleaning after the hen party booking, she asks Chester,

“Get lost,” he replies, “I’ll do it for twenty!” but Sioned is having none of that.

Hywel has a packet in the post – a congratulations card and a cuddly toy. Then he receives a text from Sheryl;

When Ricky comes into the Deri, looking for Siôn, Chester calls him, “Charity case – getting our old telly – scroungers!”

| Vicky proudly announces her new job |
Vicky proudly announces to Ed and Sioned that she is now working for Cwmni Perffaith (Perfect Company) – Diane’s and Dani’s Escort business. Sioned is aghast when she hears that Ed is driving the Bentley for them;

“I don’t want anything to do with such a business!”

| Sioned shouts to Diane . . . (the sweetness and light did not last long) |
and she shouts to Diane, who has just walked in,

“I hear you’re working in the gutter – and employing trailer trash!”
Diane looks Vicky up and down, remarks, Am I indeed?” and stalks off. Sioned gleefully remarks that it looks as if Vicky will not be going on her outing after all.

Storming into the salon, Diane berates Dani for not consulting her, and tells Vicky, who has followed her, “Sorry, I don’t think you’re suitable! It’s our first job, and we’re looking for . . . professional ladies!”
Dani reminds her that it will not be very professional if they cancel,

then Ed arrives and advises them that he will still drive for them, just as long as they do not tell Sioned. Diane grudgingly agrees;

“Just this one time! One wrong move and I’ll hit you in the pocket!” Vicky wants to borrow a dress from Dani and get a makeover.

Ricky reports to Mark in the café that Chester will not stop taking the mick, but Mark tells him that it is a free television. Siôn brings Mark some more posters for distribution.

Then he turns and sees Ffion; she asks after Arwen. “She’s in Cylch Meithrin, (Nursery Group) and she has a new friend called Callum,” he tells her. She asks if he knew that Gethin had been sacked, which comes as a surprise to Siôn, and imagines that Gethin will not want to see her when he returns next week.

Dol arrives with the baby and invites Ffion to join her for a cuppa; “You’ve got plenty of time on your hands, from what I hear,” she says.

At the Coronary Care Unit, Hywel arrives, looks through the door at Sheryl,

| . . . and takes a deep breath |
takes a deep breath and goes in. He apologises for being late,

| "Isn't Meilyr with you?" |
and she responds, “Isn’t Meilyr with you?” He tells her he wanted to spend some time with her, so left the baby with Anita.
“You thought I’d forgotten, didn’t you?” she says, fishing an envelope from under the blanket.

He opens it and finds a birthday card which reads, “Lots of love from Sheryl and Meilyr.” He struggles to fight back the tears.
“One of the nurses got it for me,” she explains, “Nothing is too much trouble for them. When I get home, we’ll celebrate properly.”

She hugs him.
Later she asks if Hywel has any photos of Meilyr on his phone; he shows her, and she says,

“I’ve seen these – don’t you have any more recent ones? Will you take a few tonight, please? I haven’t seen him since Monday.”
He is understandably in a hurry to leave, and says that Anita will be wondering where he is.

He kisses her and goes, as the nurse brings her some more tablets. Outside in the corridor, in a rage Hywel rips the card in half.

| "Too many tequilas, was it?" |
Dol tells Ffion that she used to go to all Tom Jones’ concerts; “He was lovely, and awful handsome! I’ve heard that you’ve been in the wars – too many tequilas, was it? I’ve got addiction problems too – it’s shopping channels – I’m obsessed, like a dog with a bone, I can’t let it go!”

Ffion points out that there are ways of stopping, “But you have to want to. I’ve lost a lot of things because of alcohol.’
Dol reassures her that the “tidy” friends will swing back, like boomerangs. She opens her bag,

saying she has to ring her neighbour in Ponty to check on her goldfish, then (predictably) exclaims, “Damn – I forgot my purse!” Ffion of course says she will pay,

and as she settles up with Gwen, Dol smiles.

Looking into the Bentley, Sioned exclaims, “Someone has been sick in here!” and tells Ed to go and get another cloth. Vicky passes and Sioned comments, “Thank goodness we didn’t agree to drive her!”

Siôn meets Chester in the street and stresses that he does not like this attitude of teasing Ricky; he has also given them some X-box games, as Chester does not use them.

Chester points out that the console was also taken, so the games are useless.

| Gaynor is back at Llwyncelyn again |
Hywel arrives at Llwyncelyn to find that Gaynor is back there, cleaning up the kitchen;

he receives a phone call, giving him the cause of Meilyr’s death. “He had a heart condition – Anomalous Coronary Artery – a very rare condition,” he tells Gaynor.

He pauses, then adds, “It’s wrong! Being born like that – with no hope!”

| Whatever it is ends up in Dol's pocket |
When Mark returns home, Dol is in the kitchen, removing money from a tin and slipping it into the back pocket of her jeans. She tells Mark that she is only there to look after the baby until Vicky comes back.

Mark snaps, “Well, I’m here now, so you can go! And close the door after you!” She leaves, looking quite pleased with herself.

As Hywel looks at the two halves of the card,

| "I cancelled the appointment" |
Gaynor tells him, “I cancelled the appointment with the counsellor.”

| "Go home, Gaynor!" |
He replies, “Go home Gaynor! I want to be alone, and I don’t care what you think – you’re only making it worse!”

| "I was only trying to help" |
When she insists she only wanted to help, he rages, “I asked for your help just once, and you failed to do that! I asked you not to tell anyone about Meilyr, and what did you do? Opened your big mouth and told everyone!

You’re not my wife and not my partner, so I don’t want you here! It’s about time you learned that this isn’t about you, Gaynor! Go home – leave me alone! You have no idea what I’m going through!”

She leaves, he locks the door behind her, turns off the light and gradually sinks to the floor, sobbing convulsively.
