"Are you still babysitting?"
Dani sees Britt with Arwen in the street, not realising she was still babysitting;
"A couple of days, Ffion said!"
“A couple of days, Ffion said!   I’ve tried ringing, but there’s no reply!” complains Britt.   Dani heads resolutely towards Cysgod y Glyn.
Gemma is presented with her raffle prize
Seeing Gemma passing, Britt informs her that she has won the Meic Memorial Fund raffle, and hands her the prize;  “Now you have to find someone who likes curry,” she says.
Ffion is "out of it" on the sofa
Ffion ignores the buzzer, so Dani goes straight up, finding her on the sofa as usual.   The mobile is ringing, so Dani accepts the call
Ffion makes excuses
and passes it to Ffion.   Gaynor is calling;
"You're supposed to be in school today!"
“You’re supposed to be in school today!”   When Ffion pleads that she is still unwell, Gaynor tells her to see the doctor, and she will call in later.
“No, you might catch the bug,” insists Ffion,
Gaynor is not fooled
and Gaynor has no doubt about what the real situation is.
Dani berates Ffion;  “Are you sure it’s not food poisoning?   This place is filthy!   I promised Gethin I would check on you – and you’re obviously not OK!”
"I can't help being ill!"
Ffion protests that she cannot help being ill, and Dani tells her, “The word is hungover!   Stop lying – I’m not stupid!   By the way, I saw Arwen earlier, if you’re interested.   You don’t give a damn about her – why not phone Britt about her?   Why not go and see her?   You can’t be bothered, because you’d rather drink, in the middle of all this mess.”
Dani picks up the photo of Arwen . . .
Picking up the photo of Arwen, Dani places it in front of Ffion, and says, “I’ll tell her Mami sends her regards next time I see her, shall I?”
. . . and puts it in front of Ffion
Dani storms out, and Ffion’s immediate reaction is to reach for the vodka bottle, but then she stops, looks at the photo and changes her mind.
Siôn has a pram for Vicky's use
In the café, Siôn has just brought an old pram for Vicky to use, but she is  not in a good mood, having been kept awake all night.
Vicky seems determined to return to London
“I’m not going to cart that to London – you don’t want any mistakes in your life!” she tells her mother.
"I love having you here"
Debbie protests that she loves having her there, “As long as you don’t expect me to do everything!   You need to register Nicky with a GP, and also register his birth.   You can take him out in the pram.”
DJ has just mended a gate at Penrhewl, and is off to clean the farmyard;
"You're too hyper"
Cadno insists he should stop for two minutes.   “You’re too hyper,” she tells him, “Did the solicitor tell you what sentence to expect?”
"It's a lottery, with no jackpot"
DJ replies, “If I’m lucky, it may be a fine or suspended sentence, otherwise up to three months.   It’s a lottery, with no jackpot, but we can’t turn the clock back now.”   Cadno tells him she just wants to thank him, but does not know how.   “Just buy me a meal,” he jokes, but she immediately phones to book a table.
"Come out for a meal with me"
Gemma finds Kelly in the café and invites her for a meal in Cwm Delhi tonight.   Kelly says this is impossible;
"I can't – I'm chocker with work!"
“I’m chocker with work!” and urges Gemma to rearrange the date.   Then she has a phone call;  someone wants to meet her at the Deri in a quarter of an hour.
Milkshake for Arwen
As Debbie brings over a milkshake for Arwen, a stranger enters
"Rob Evans, Hygiene Officer"
and introduces himself as Rob Evans, Hygiene Officer, and suggests starting in the kitchen.
Britt alerts Siôn
Britt looks worried and phones Siôn to warn him that an inspection of the Deri is imminent.
Ffion wants to see Arwen
Ffion walks into the Deri and tells Siôn that she wants to see Arwen;  Siôn replies that she is out with Britt somewhere.
"I miss her terribly!"
“I miss her terribly!” says Ffion, and Siôn tells her that they are trying to keep her busy so she does not miss her mother too much.
She decides to wait for Britt to come back, and Siôn will bring her a coffee.
"Can you change the date of the meal?"
Gemma appears, asking if the date for the Cwm Delhi free meals can be changed, but tonight is apparently the only available date.
"Who's the mystery woman?"
Then an unknown woman walks into the Deri and sits down;  Siôn is puzzled as to her identity,
Whoever she is, she has an appointment with Kelly
but later Kelly comes in to talk to her.
You cannot see her hands shaking in this picture
He takes the coffee to Ffion. whose hands shake as she picks up the cup;  he tells her she should see a doctor, but she replies, “I want to see Arwen.”
"Do you think it's wise, in your state?"
“Do you think it’s wise, in your state? he enquires, but Ffion insists she has not been drinking.   Siôn answers, “You can’t even hold a cup of coffee!”
"Give her a kiss from me"
She gets up and tells him, “Give her a kiss from me, and tell her I love her.”
"You want to send the inspector to Ffion's"
Dani remarks to Britt in the café, “You want to send the inspector to Ffion’s – the flat is filthy!   She’s obviously been drinking.”
Nappy-changing – in the middle of a café?
Vicky returns with the baby, and decides to change his nappy there and then in the café.
It puts Dani right off her food – hardly surprising
When she removes the soiled one, Dani exclaims, “I’m not eating here!”
Then it is left on a kitchen work-surface
Vicky takes the malodorous object into the kitchen and puts it on the food preparation surface.   Predictably, this is the moment when the Inspector walks in and notices.
"It's too late now!"
Despite Debbie’s protestations that she will sterilise the whole place, he pronounces, “It’s too late now!” and walks out.
DJ is waiting for Cadno
In Cwm Delhi, DJ is waiting for Cadno when Ffion comes in and orders a vodka.   Then Gaynor enters and catches her;
"Your stomach must be better!"
“Your stomach must be better if you’re eating curry!”   Ffion replies that it must be one of those 24-hour things, and at this point the waiter brings her vodka.
“No, it’s a mistake – I ordered an orange juice,” she lies.   Gaynor tells her that they need to talk.
Debbie blames Britt
Debbie is in the Deri, blaming Britt for not telling Vicky to change the nappy elsewhere.   Dani wonders what the inspector will say;  “Perhaps he’ll contact the Western Post!”
"Dish of the day – nappy and chips!"
Kelly joins in;  “That’s a good idea, front page news – dish of the day, nappy and chips!”   Debbie continues to moan that her hygiene score has gone down to three,
Britt is proud of the Deri's hygiene rating
and the Deri was not even inspected.
Oh, Cadno is not coming
DJ is disappointed to receive a call to say that Cadno is unable to come;  Eifion is not available to look after the boys.   Gemma, also alone, invites him to join her, but he is doubtful, after the last time.   “It’s not a date this time,” she assures him.
"I've heard your lies before, haven't I?"
Gaynor does some straight talking;  “Don’t treat me like a fool – I’ve heard your lies before, haven’t I?   Why is Arwen staying with Britt and Siôn?”
"I'm not fit to be her mother!"
“I didn’t have any choice – I’m not fit to be her mother!” replies Ffion.
"You've conquered this before"
Gaynor insists that this is not true and that she has conquered this before, and will do again.   “Not this time!” says Ffion.
Cue remarks about pandas
Vicky has applied a face mask, and tells her mother, “You don’t have to worry much longer – I’ve found a cheaper train on Saturday.”
"I dont want you to go back to London"
Debbie emphasises, “I don’t want you to go back to London – a hygiene score’s not everything!   He didn’t pick on anything else.   Let’s have a drink, while the baby’s asleep.”
However, Vicky is going out again, once more leaving Debbie in charge;  “Don’t be late – you’re a mother with responsibilities now!” she says.
Gaynor gives Ffion her instructions
Gaynor advises that she has made some enquiries as to how to help Ffion, who insists that she cannot be helped.   “Not while you refuse to listen!” snaps Gaynor.   “I can arrange for you to have three months’ leave, and I know a supply teacher who is available.   There’s one condition – that you get help and talk to someone.   You have to make it work – this is your last chance!   If you’re not worried about yourself, think about Arwen – she can’t stay with Britt and Siôn for ever!”
. . . but Ffion is still feeling sorry for herself
Ffion replies that she is safe with them, but Gaynor continues, “You’re her mother – she should be with you.   Listen to me – you have a choice.   Either you drink yourself to death, or you fight this for Arwen’s sake!   Go and see the doctor tomorrow!”   Ffion gets up and leaves.
"It was a free meal"
DJ has enjoyed his meal, and Gemma admits that it was her raffle prize.
She certainly seems better now
He tells her that she seems much happier now, and that she is, “Doing great!”
Ffion has come by another bottle
Ffion arrives home, having acquired another bottle on the way;  she looks at the photo, pours herslf another drink, turns the photo face downwards
A good swig makes her feel much calmer
and take a long swig of vodka.
