Anita is having her hair done at the salon, prior to her trip to Patagonia; “I admire you, going all that way on your own,” says Sheryl.

Gaynor comes in to say she is going upstairs to see Hywel; she has an offer for him.

| "I could strangle her sometimes!" |
“I could strangle her sometimes!” Sheryl remarks to Anita.
Then Mark arrives with the post, and Anita asks him a favour; to hold on to Gabriella’s passport for a while.

| Mark is very uneasy about what she asks |
“I don’t want her with me,” but Mark is very uneasy about doing so, regarding Gabriella as a very good friend.

| "Now it's my turn to ask" |
“You were happy to keep Meic’s secrets from me, so now it’s my turn to ask – I’m relying on you!” Anita insists.

At this point, Gabriella, who is passing, sees them and comes in with the news she has managed to find a cheaper flight, but Anita enlightens her that she is leaving from Heathrow at 10:00am tomorrow.

Upstairs, Gaynor shows Hywel details of a semi-detached property in Llanarthur, and says she will offer a third of the money as part of the divorce settlement. “If you sold Cysgod y Glyn you could easily afford it,” she tells him,

| "I'm not moving to Llanarthur!' |
but Sheryl, who has joined them, insists she does want not to move there. “You can’t afford Cwmderi prices,” continues Gaynor, but Sheryl is offended by this and asks her to leave.

When she has gone, Sheryl remarks angrily, “She’s gone too far this time!”

| "You've got to mind your weight" |
At Eileen’s flat, Dai cuts Jim a thin slice of cake, as he should be watching his weight; Jim notices the watch, and Eileen recognises it as Meic’s old one. When Jim sees that it is not working, he asks, “Why are you still wearing it?”

| "It is rather spooky!" |
Dai regards it as rather spooky that it stopped when Meic died,

| "No, it's just the battery!" |
but Jim gets him to take it off and prises the back off with his penknife. “It needs a new battery,” he says triumphantly.

At the café, Mark asks Debbie if she has mentioned the impending move to Ricky, which she has not, but reports that he has, and Ricky did not seem worried;

“Exactly – he doesn’t care if I move,” she replies.

| Gabriella panics over the lost passport |
Gabriella rushes in to ask Mark if he has seen her passport; he tells her not to be anxious, as it is bound to turn up, and goes home with her to look for it.

Sioned and Ed are in the café; Sioned says, “If she is moving to London, she’ll want a quick sale – someone could snap up a bargain!”

In the salon flat, Sheryl fills a five-litre container with water,

then liberally tips it over the worktops;

she rushes to Hywel and reports that she has had an accident.

| "The fumes are terrible!" |
“I’ve spilt nail polish remover all over the place - you can’t clean it up – the fumes are terrible! We have to go out!”

| "It's not like you to be nice" |
Sioned speaks to Debbie about selling the café; Debbie is suspicious and comments, “It’s not like you to be nice.” Sioned wants to see the accounts,

| "She will never get a loan!" |
although Ed is quite adamant that she would never get a loan. Sioned says she is worried that the new owner might evict the taxi business from the premises.

| "That stuff is dangerous to inhale" |
Hywel has looked up the substance, finding that it is dangerous to inhale. Sheryl concludes,

| "There's room for us at Llwyncelyn!" |
“I’m not willing to take any risks - we shall have to move out!” Dismissing Hywel’s suggestion that they stay in an hotel, she continues, “There’s room for us at Lwyncelyn, that would be the perfect place for us – I’m going up to pack a bag!” Hywel reminds her of the fumes, so she grabs a towel to put over her nose.

Gabriella is frantically searching at Maes-y-Deri when Mark suggests,

“Someone must have stolen it – someone who’s been here.”

| Mark returns the passport |
When she looks puzzled, he retrieves the passport from his pocket and tells her, “Anita took it and wanted me to give to to you after she had left.

| "Let her deal with Meic's death in her own way" |
“She wants to go on her own, and deal with Meic’s death in her own way, like you did before you came back here.”

| Dai demonstrates the working watch |
Anita goes to see Dai, who tells her the watch is working like clockwork with its new battery. “This is the first battery-operated model, worth a bit of money – not that it is important!”

| "I want to postpone the memorial service" |
Anita wants to postpone the memorial service until she returns from Patagonia, and has been to see where Meic ended his journey.
“And what a journey it was,” reminisces Dai, “Anglesey, Fleet Street, Cwmderi, back to Anglesey and finally back here.
He wants to phone Diane to tell her that Anita is leaving imminently, but she stops him; “If Diane had been a better friend, I wouldn’t be going.”

| Eileen hears that Sioned is thinking about buying the café |
Debbie goes across the road and asks Eileen to give a copy of the café accounts to Sioned. “She’d better shift if she’s serious – I want a quick sale!”

Eileen remarks to Jim that Sioned cannot afford the rent at the Deri, let alone buy a café.

| "Did you spill that stuff deliberately?" |
As they come out of the salon, Hywel asks, “Did you spill that stuff deliberately? You wanted an excuse to move out of here – I’m not stupid!”
She replies, “All right – it was water! Do you think I’d endanger the baby by playing with chemicals? I just wanted you on my side. I was angry because Gaynor thought that dump at Llanarthur was good enough. Llwyncelyn is perfect for us – that’s where we want to be!”

They see Gaynor heading towards the Deri, so Sheryl orders him, “Go and give her the good news and ask for the key!”

and when he walks off, she smiles.

| "I'm not accepting your offer" |
Hywel announces that he will not be accepting Gaynor’s offer, and she replies, “Sheryl getting her own way again? You’re spoiling her.” When he says that they cannot both have Llwyncelyn, she is furious:

“Llwyncelyn is mine! You were just a cuckoo in the nest, as any good solicitor will tell you!”

| "I won't make it easy for you!" |
Hywel insists that he has rights too, and that he will not make it easy for her. “Do you think I’m scared of you?” she demands.

| "Get peeling," says Sioned |
Eileen takes some vegetables round to Sioned and Ed, so they can make cawl and freeze it; “You’ll be wearing the apron if you buy the café,” she says, and Sioned confirms that she is serious about it.

| "Our business record isn't good" |
Ed points out, “Our business record isn’t good – this pub nearly killed us – literally! Life is much easier if you settle for what you’ve got.” Sioned is not at all happy with this attitude.

When Hywel returns to the waiting Sheryl, he tells her he did not get the key, but knows where the spare is kept. “Off we go, then!” urges Sheryl.
As Anita is standing by the taxi, saying goodbye to Eileen, Jim and Dai,

she sees Mark and Gabriella approaching, so she gets into the taxi. Gabriella opens the door on the other side.

“Well?” says Gabriella, brandishing the passport, and Anita explains that she has to do this alone.

Although Hywel feels uncomfortable back at Llwyncelyn, Sheryl makes herself at home very quickly, urging him,

“Relax, will you? We’re not going anywhere. This is where we belong, and Gaynor deserves everything she gets!”

| Gaynor has an unpleasant surprise |
When Gaynor returns and discovers them, Hywel obediently tells her about the accident with the chemicals and how they could not stay there.

| "You have no right to be here!" |
She is not impressed; “You have no right to be here, so please go!”
Sheryl remarks, “Do you want me to make us dinner? There’s a barbecue out the back!” Gaynor accuses her of snooping around and demands, “Who do you think you are?”

Feeling very self-assured, Sheryl replies, “The last time you were mean to me, I almost lost the baby! Don’t you dare do that to me again, or it will be on your conscience for ever!”

Gaynor capitulates; “Right, take your bags to the spare room – my room isn’t available!”
Sheryl mutters, “Not yet,” and says to Gaynor, “I’m glad we understand each other.”
