As Ffion leaves home . . .
As Ffion comes out of her front door,
. . . she is accosted by Gethin . . .
Gethin calls to her;  she tells him, “We should stay away from each other – someone is watching us and knows what happened.”   He informs her that the adoption people have phoned him with questions, but says he denied everything;  “The last thing I want is to spoil it for you,” he lies.
"I think you're behind this nonsense!"
Ffion is rather sceptical;  “Are you sure about that?   I think you’re behind this nonsense – your life would be easier if Jinx and I split up!”
He cannot keep his hands off her . . .
He strokes her hair, as he denies her allegation,
. . . as Kelly has noticed
but Kelly is watching them.   Ffion wants to go, but he suggests they meet for a drink somewhere away from the village.   “That’s what started this!   Do us both a favour and stay away!” she says.
Courtney is still angry with her mother
Angela tries to apologise to Courtney, who replies, “You decided to believe Ricky!”   When Angela suggests going shopping after school, Courtney refuses;  “Bribing me is not going to work!”
They appear to be happy . . .
As Iolo and Wiliam are laughing over breakfast, Gethin comes in and tells Wiliam,
"If you knew the truth about him"
“Neither of you would be smiling if you know the truth about him – I can’t stand hypocrisy!   I don’t think you’ll want to stay when you hear what he did to me;  hit me with his car, then drove away like a coward!”
"I know all about that!"
Wiliam stands up and announces, “Sorry to disappoint you, but I know all about it,” then he goes upstairs.
Iolo asks Gethin why he did that;  “What?   Tell the truth?   I thought you and your family thrived on honesty!”
"You pretend to be my friend"
Iolo is concerned;  “You pretend to be a friend, and all you do is spoil things for me.   You’re jealous – whoever this girl is who’s broken your heart, take it out on her, not me!”
Angela is preoccupied
In the café, Debbie wants help planning her party, but Angela has other things on her mind.   “I don’t want any fuss, just a nightclub, some cocktails, then strippers!” says Debbie, but Kelly, sitting nearby, comments, “What?   After the last time?   I prefer a quiet meal.”
Wiliam is described as a corrupt policeman
When Wiliam comes downstairs in his uniform, Gethin is still stirring things;  “I didn’t realise you were a corrupt policeman!”   Wiliam’s response is, “However hard you try, you won’t come between us!” so Gethin continues,
"I bet your sergeant would love to know . . ."
“I bet your sergeant would love to know you’re covering up a crime.   An innocent man went to prison because of him.   It gave him an alibi for a more serious crime.”
“I already know that, so your dirty little plan won’t work” says Wiliam, angrily,
"I love him, and you won't change that!"
“I don’t care – I love him, and you won’t change that!”
Iolo is unsettled
This causes Iolo some embarrassment, and after Wiliam has gone on shift, he rounds on Gethin, “I hope you’re proud of yourself, pushing him too far and making him say he loved me!”
Gethin cynically replies, “He’s probably lying, and the sooner you realise that, the better.”
Angela rather childishly determines to punish Courtney . . .
In the shop, Angela is deliberately selecting things that Courtney will not like for dinner;  beans, tuna and spaghetti.   Eileen hears that she and Courtney are still at loggerheads, and advises her,
. . . but receives motherly advice from Eileen
“It’s sometimes easier if you don’t push it – just be there if she needs you.”   Angela then decides on sausages instead.
Kelly stresses she was not responsible for the phone call
Kelly visits Jinx, emphasising that she was not the one who made the phone call;  “Ffion’s not screaming in my face today – she enjoyed having a go at me!”
"Then who was it – and why?"
Jinx is puzzling who did phone, and why;  he suggests Iolo, as he stopped the wedding, but that was ages ago.   He might have misunderstood the friendship between Ffion and Gethin.
"Gethin gave us that frame"
Kelly tells him to concentrate on looking after Arwen and their “happy family”, as she looks at the photo in its frame;  Jinx explains that Gethin bought it for them, and Kelly comments,
"Do you think he phoned?"
“Don’t you think that’s a bit weird?   Do you think he phoned?   Jealous people do all sorts of things.”
"No, he thinks the world of Ffion"
“No, he thinks the world of her,” replies Jinx, and Kelly exclaims,
"Exactly!"
“Exactly!   Open your eyes and don’t be so blind!”   Jinx cannot believe that Ffion would do something like that to him.
"She takes after her mother!"
In the Deri, Angela complains that Courtney is so stubborn, and Eifion suggests she got that from her mother.   “Sometimes you make it hard to remember why I’m with you,” she says, exasperated.
Debbie wants a stripper booked
Debbie has found the phone number of a stripper and wants Angela to book him.   “He doesn’t have to be a professional, she says, and looking across to the bar, adds, “Eifion’s got good muscles!”
Angela lays down the law
Angela tells her most emphatically, “No-one’s going to see my boyfriend stripping!”
Ffion arrives home . . .
As Ffion’s car arrives outside Cysgod y Glyn, Kelly is just coming out of the door;
. . . and confronts Kelly
when asked what she has been doing with Jinx, Kelly answers, “Not the same as you’ve been doing with Gethin!   You looked cosy this morning – you can’t fool me!”
"I've got a right to know!"
“I’m Jinx’s partner, and I’ve got a right to know what you were doing with him!” demands Ffion, but Kelly simply smiles.
"I'm not going anywhere with her!"
Eifion tells Courtney he is unable to take her to the cinema, as he is babysitting at Penrhewl, but says her mother will take her;  “I’m not going anywhere with her!” replies Courtney.
"You can't argue for ever!"
Eifion tries to persuade her to stay home for dinner;  “You can’t argue for ever.”
"Kelly didn't make that phone call"
Jinx tells Ffion that he does not believe that Kelly made the phone call.   “She can twist you round her little finger!” objects Ffion, and Jinx adds, “Just like you can.”
"Did you have an affair with Gethin?"
He asks her directly whether she had an affair with Gethin, and she replies, “Kelly has an obsession about me and Gethin!”
"Just answer me!"
“Just answer me!” he insists, and she assures him that she would never risk their chances of having another child.   “Having a houseful of children has always been my dream, and thanks to you, we’ve got that chance.   I want someone to be a father, to love my children, to teach them right from wrong.   Whatever Kelly’s been telling you, you’re that person.”
Ffion is not confident she has persuaded him
They hug, but both of them appear to be worried.
In the Deri, Angela is tired of Debbie’s wayout ideas for a party, and leaves, telling her, “You only want to get blind drunk and make a fool of yourself!
Debbie is shocked by what Angela tells her
Forget nightclub and stripper, and have a party suitable for a grandmother!”
Iolo intends that Wiliam should leave . . .
Wiliam comes back from his shift and finds Iolo packing his things;  “You can’t stay;  you over-reacted, saying you loved me,” Iolo insists,
. . . but Wiliam stresses he meant what he said
but Wiliam assures him it was not just to shut Gethin up, it was true.   Then Iolo is told that a trip to London has been booked for the two of them, and the train leaves Swansea at 18:00, so he had better hurry.
"I'm pathetic — I love you!"
Iolo finally admits, “I love you!”
"Stop interfering in my life!"
Courtney comes downstairs and tells her mother, “I came to tell you to stop interfering in my life.   I’m old enough to do what I want.   I won’t make the same mistakes that you and Eileen made – I don’t want to be stuck with a baby!
"You have to trust me"
I don’t want to argue, but you have to trust me.”
Eifion winks at her
Angela asks if she will stay for dinner, as it is her favourite, and when she agrees, Eifion winks at her.
Kelly approaches . . .
Gethin is working on motorcycle CU09AVT when Kelly arrives at the garage,
. . . appears to proposition Gethin . . .
and invites him for a drink at the Deri, as they are both on their own.   He thinks that she is crazy, but she asks, “When was the last time you had company, and were not all on your own? – Iolo doesn’t count!”
. . . and almost kisses him
She leans forward and tries to kiss him, but he backs away, and protests, “I can’t!”
"You're in love with Ffion!"
Kelly demands, “What’s stopping you?   You’re in love with Ffion – that’s why you phoned the adoption agency to spoil it for them!   You want her all for yourself – you can’t deny it!
"The truth is going to come out!"
Sooner or later, the truth is going to come out – believe me!”
